Turkey, Australia and the US, people cel lebrate Mother’s Day on the second

Sunday in May while many other countries of the world celebrate their own

Mother’s day at different times through out the year.

One of the best ways to celebrate Mother’s Day is to give your mom the day

off. Let her relax with the rest of the family doing all the housework. Usually,

dad and the kids will let mom sleep late that morning as they go into the

kitchen to prepare her favourite breakfast. Never forget to place a vase with a

single flower on the table beside the food. The kids can pick up the flower from

the garden or buy one from the shop. Arrange everything nicely before mom wakes

up. Some families will carry the food and mom’s favourite sections from the

newspaper to her bedroom so that mom can have breakfast in bed. Presents and

cards from the kids can be handed to mom by themselves or just placed on the

dining table.

After breakfast, go anywhere mom likes to go. Shopping, swimming or going on

a picnic in the garden. Make a special Mother’s Day dinner or take mom out for a

great meal in a famous restaurant she loves most.

Anyway ,let mom enjoy the whole day and feel your love, and then the Mother’s

Day can be a good one. As Mother’s Day is around the corner, it’s time to take

有目共睹，我校在过去的六年里取得了高考六连胜的伟大业绩。我们有理由自豪，因为这在全县高中是绝无仅有的!众所周知，由于多方面的原因，我们的生源有限，生源基础并不很好。但为什么能取得如此骄人的成绩呢?归结起来，这得益于学校的正确领导和师生的奋力拼搏。过去的四年，我一直和同志们战斗在高三第一线，切身体会到了领导们精益求精的管理，目睹了老师们孜孜不倦的努力。而这奋斗，已经成为了六中人的一种习惯。我可以负责的说，多年的磨砺成长，我校绝大部分老师，已经是有过多年高三教育教学经验的教师，已经足以为大家的高考胜利保驾护航!六中的老师也在为学生的全面成长不断探索。

Almost everyone wants to live a long life, but longevity is not for all

An unforgettable experience

My mom used to say that I was born to swim. But the truth is that I didn t know how to swim until the last year of my primary school!

Mom always said that I could swim in the basin when I was only two months old. I was surprised at the amazing fact. If this was true, then why was I afraid of water? I went to swim every summer, but I didn t make a little progress. I was worried and blamed myself several times. When I watched people swimming freely, how I wished I had learnt to swim!

The story of how I learnt to swim is dramatic. One hot summer afternoon, my father and I went to the swimming pool to swim. While my father was changing his clothes, I was roaming along the bank of the pool. Suddenly I heard a voice, Look out! and then came a big noise and beautiful splashes. Just when I was admiring the swimmer s skills, I slipped into the pool! I was so afraid that I shouted at once! But the water kept coming towards me and I drank a lot of it. I was moving upside down and trying to reach the bank. I was struggling very hard to keep my head above the water.

Nowadays, many families have a dog or a cat as a pet. Some people think

that pets are good and helpful companies. Some of them even go so far as saying

that animals are as good as humans, and their rights should be respected .Senior

citizens are especially fond of keeping pet because they are always feeling

lonely at home and they see the cats or dogs as their partner.

But some other people do not like pets. They say that animals are noisy,

dirty and dangerous. They think laws should be made to forbid people from

keeping pets in cities and towns.

In my opinion, pets are loyal friends that will never betray us. Staying

with pets, we shall enjoy happiness and feel relaxed. Most important of all,

keeping pets helps people to reduce loneliness and forget their unpleasant

开学对我来说实在不是什么快乐的事情。开学的前几天，做什么事情都感觉郁闷，整日都昏昏沉沉的。

我不喜欢开学：不喜欢整日呆在学校，也不喜欢去读那些课本，好没意思啊！如果放假太久了，去学校又需重新调整状态。像我这样的，一时半会儿根本无法调整。

假期是少不了有作业的，而假期我总是要先疯玩一番。每次到了假期最后一天总是忙着赶作业，可怎么也做不完，此时多么希望时间能够过得慢一点或时光倒退一天啊！

高一上半学期的寒假后，回到学校的第一个星期，每个晚上十二点多了还是翻来覆去睡不着，然后睡到凌晨三四点又醒了过来。接着呢，上课也无精打采的，老是昏昏欲睡。过了段时日，勉强好了些。

现在已经是国庆节假期的第三天，可我的作业还只字未动。本来计划是先疯狂地玩一天，第二天开始写这两篇作文的。结果到了今天晚上才开始写。

经常听人说：读书的时候老想着放假，现在放假了，倒是又想读书了。可是我的感受却并非如此：读书的时候的确想着放假，但放假的时候却想让假期延长些。这真是一个悲剧啊！我特别不喜欢上学，尤其是在假期末和开学初这段时间，是心情最低谷的时候。

不知道为什么，每次开学我都尤为难受，但是看看别人，好像都很开心的样子。也许是一开学，同学、伙伴们又都聚在了一起，可以有说有笑了吧！这又能怎样呢？怪我是一个内向的人，平时不太喜欢说话。我习惯自己一个人的世界，可以静静地思考、狂热地幻想；而人多的喧闹，反而使我感到烦闷。不管别人怎么说，我都一如既往。这也许就是我不喜欢开学的另外一个原因吧！

When I was very small, I was so obsessed with the movie Harry Potter. I had watched all the series and I was so impressed by the role that acted by Emma Watson. Now so many years have passed, I keep paying attention to her. Emma is as smart as the role she plays. Though she keeps filming movies, she never gives up study. She got full A in her lesson and she could go to any top university, finally she went to Brown University. When she graduated, she was invited to give the speech He For Her. People seem to cant live without computer and smart phone, once they dont have smart phone at hand for a while, the seem to be lost and feel something miss in their life. When I talk to my friends at table, I find them always play smart phones or check on the text all the time. Though we sit face to face, the distance between us is so far. The high technology brings isolation between people. Some people dont often visit their parents and friends, for they believe that a call can solve all the things. Communication in face to face is far more important than a call. It is time for some people to put down their smart phones for a while when they are communicating to others.
