可见，由抽象的图画到生动画面的产生，到一篇作文的写作成功，是创造想象不断发展的过程，也是提高英语语言运用能力的过程。

三、借助音乐，拓宽想象

音乐能有效地丰富学生的精神生活，促进学生感知、情感、想象等方面的健康成长，能给学生提供想象和联想的广阔空间，有利于培养学生的发散性思维能力，促进人的全脑开发，为学生的创新精神和实践能力在各方面的延伸乃至终身发展提供良好的基础。因此，在英语写作训练中有时借助音乐等艺术形式，对丰富学生的想象力是一种有益的尝试。

“创造想象是严格的构思过程，它是由思维调节的。”想象会产生全新的物象与情景、独特的认识和感悟。一段文字、一篇文章，给不同的读者，就有不同的想象余地。正如：A thousand readers, a thousand Hamlets.（一千个读者，就有一千个哈姆雷特。）在英语作文教学中根据一定的线索或情节，提供学生广阔的思维空间，让学生进行想象描述（创造性的描述），会收到很好的锻炼效果。

例如 “After Twenty Years" (Senior Book Ⅵ,Unit 5) 这一课，可要求学生在学完之后， 简单续写一个结尾。这是一篇根据O. Henry 同名原作改写的文章。文章的故事情节虽然简单，但很能挖掘、发挥学生的创造想象力。学生这样写到：

在作文教学中，通过对一定的语言材料进行不同方式的处理，确实是锻炼学生的思维，发展学生的想象力的一条重要途径。当学生对当前的语言材料进行阅读、处理时，进行了充分的分析、比较，又充分展示了自己的想象力，其思维得到了充分的发散。

我站在田埂上，这是将要去学校的前一天。

我站在田边，望着被冬雪冲刷过的一田淤泥：平淡无奇。但我知道这一片看似平静的泥土下，去年的荸荠正准备吐新芽，泥鳅的孩子正在孕育，稗草的根正探着须……一切肉眼看得见看不见的生物正满心期待地等待着即将到来的春天，即使他它们可能要因为春耕而停下生长的脚步，可谁又能阻止它们向往的心呢？

接过父亲递过来的小锄头，我玩兴大起的在田中转圈，挖出一条条沟壑加速水的流失。终于，在我的不懈努力下水底的状况便一点点显露出来。田螺是一群胆小又单纯的家伙，水不断地流走留给它们深深的恐慌。它们像无头苍蝇一样在泥上逃窜留下一条条清晰的足迹，仿佛要昭告天下自己的藏身之所；泥鳅是一群狡猾的家伙。它们不动声色的往污泥深处钻，要不是梳齿锄暴露了它们的新洞穴，它们就可以逃过一劫；各种各样的水虫是一群懒惰又明智的家伙。它们深知自己的价值不会被人类看重，于是优哉游哉地随水流奔向下一片田野；荸荠是一群无奈的倒霉蛋：作为无脚的重点搜索目标，它们在劫难逃。

同时，外婆和母亲不知何时已经来到田边。外婆在洗刚挖出来的荸荠，沾着泥的荸荠一个个现出原貌：光溜溜、红里透黑的小圆墩上长着白嫩嫩的幼芽，削掉那层外衣后露出里面白生生的果肉，汁多肉脆。我一边吃着母亲递过来的果肉，一边动手摸荸荠。这些荸荠竟也爱扎堆，要么一下子摸出五六个又大又好的，要么只有一两个歪瓜劣枣。父亲的收获更多，作为本次挖荸荠的主力军，其战斗力与我这等打酱油的当然不是一个档次。更何况那小桶装着的田螺、泥鳅、黄鳝，看得我嘟着嘴直嚷嚷“我怎么就没摸到一条泥鳅呢，真不公平……”母亲看着一身脏兮兮的我，忍了又忍还是没忍住“看看你都多大了，还不知道将就衣服，像个小学生一样。”外婆忍不住搭腔：“没事的，她爸妈都在这她还不就是个小孩子。”母亲只得噤声。

直到天色渐晚，寒气愈重，我和父亲才准备换衣回家。

走的时候外婆非常舍不得，拉着我和母亲的手送我们。在心里叹了口气：这次分别之后我得外出求学而父母外出谋生。我们的生活又不得不按下快捷键，能分给外婆的时间少之又少，而我似乎又看到父母明日送行的样子，千言万语只是一句：好好照顾自己；让我无论身在何方都不曾太过孤独。

几度潮起潮落，几番春去春来，不知不觉中我已步入高中的神圣殿堂。

昨天我还在家里和父母有说有笑，今天却要与他们分别；昨天我还在母校听老师讲课，今天却要与他们道别；昨天我还在操场和同学嬉戏玩耍，今天却要与他们离别。

当我与过去的一切挥手告别时，心中有几分不舍，有几分留念，有几分眷恋。不舍临行密密缝，意恐迟迟归的亲情；留念捧着一颗心来，不带半根草去的师生情；眷恋海内存知己，天涯若比邻的友情。当我与现在的一切亲密接触时，心里有几分不适，有几分陌生，有几分烦躁。不适这里的新的环境；对这里新的同学感到陌生；烦躁这里老师新的讲课形式。现在的我有的只是前不见古人，后不见来者的怆然涕下；有的只是剪不断，理还乱，是离愁，别有一般滋味在心头的万千思绪；有的只是明月几时有？把酒问青天的无限感慨。————朋友告诉我：在世上有很多东西我们不能留下，但至少我们还有记忆。过去的就让它过去，松开双手时，你会发现你拥有的是整个世界。

是啊，既然找不到花柳繁华地，何不寻一方明月松间照的故土；既然看不到明月共潮生的佳景，何不听一听此夜曲中闻折柳的佳音。

我告诉自己要坚强一些；我告诫自己要自信一点；我警示自己要努力去拼搏。于是，我已找回往日的壮志凌云，并不再失落，；我已找到过去的踌躇满志，并不再迷茫；我已寻得以前的信心百倍，并不再彷徨。我相信长风破浪会有时，直挂云帆济沧海我铭记天生我材必有用，千金散尽还复来。

再回首，曾经的我辉煌过，曾经的我也迷茫过。面对困难与挫折，我曾一次次地克服；面对实践与考验，我曾一次次地坚持；面对感情的认知，我曾一次次地彷徨；面对人生的悲离，我曾一次次地徘徊……

此刻，所有的愁思，所有的不快，所有的寂寞都随风吹过；所有的快乐，所有的喜悦，所有的甜蜜都随雨飘来。
