As the Christmas Day is coming, our class decided to send some gifts to our

teachers, because we wanted to show our gratitude to them. At first, we had no

idea what to buy, because we wanted to do something special. So at last an idea

came to my mind. I advised to write a card, pasting some pictures of classmates

on it. Everybody agreed with me, so we spent a day to take some funny pictures,

and everybody wrote down their names on the card. When we sent this gift to the

teachers, they loved it so much. They were so impressed by this precious

surprise and would keep it forever.

The Origin of Halloween

The Celts believed the souls of the dead roamed the streets and villages at night. Since not all spirits were thought to be friendly, gifts and treats were left out to pacify the evil and ensure next years crops would be plentiful. This custom evolved into trick-or-treating.

同学们像一群活泼可爱的小鸟，兴高采烈地飞近那美丽，熟悉，温馨的校园，飞近那宽敞，明亮的教室里。都纷纷找自己的好朋友聊天、谈话。毕竟两个月没见了，肯地定有很多话要说。

小部分的同学都在说暑假去了哪里，有什么惊心动魄的事，还是欣赏了什么奇观等等。可是大部分的同学在讨论说："班主任和数学老师换不换。"同学都疑惑不解。可有些同学知道班主任要换一个男的老师。又有一些同学说要换一个女老师，他们争来争去，不知道应该相信谁才好。过了好一会儿，有一位男老师进了我的教室，同学们一下子鸦雀无声，男同学都满面春风，而女同学却提心吊胆。男同学高兴的是班主任是他们的同胞，女同学紧张的是男老师会不会很凶，只会帮男同学。

那位男老师说话了，首先说这个学年会担任我们班的班主任，然后把新插班的同学介绍了一遍，最后让我们猜一个字谜，这个谜底就是他的姓。字谜是：有水，有田，有禾就有米。有些同学一下子就想出来了，是潘字。所以这位男老师就是潘老师。

潘老师让我们猜他的年龄，身高，体重。我们班的同学经过一番仔细观察，猜到了潘老师的年龄是三十八岁，身高一米七零，体重是一百四十斤。潘老师的身高，体重都和航天英雄扬利伟相仿。在讨论和猜测的过程中，潘老师根本不是用武力去解决问题的老师，而是很和蔼可亲，在讨论中我们就像在和很熟悉的朋友聊天，他凡事都讲一个"道"字，他的道理讲得很透彻，很明白，能让同学们心服口服，我心目中的好老师就是这样的，我真高兴他能当我们班的班主任，能跟我们一起学习，一起成长。

这，就是开学的第一天，我非常开心，因为我可以认识到潘老师，他能当我们的班主任，我真高兴啊!

莫泊桑说过：“人，生活在希望之中，一个希望破灭了或实现了，就会有新的希望产生。”新学期就是新的企盼，新的希望，新的征程。新学期，让我们再一次踏上征途......

对于我们高三学生来说，在校时间屈指可算，我们即将迎来人生的第一次挑战——中考。为了能顺利考上理想的学校，从现在起我们必须兢兢业业、全力以赴。

新的学期，新的打算，不能依然沉浸在暑假的快乐时光里，要投入到学习中去。升入高三后，学习更紧张了，高三是高中生活的最后一年，也是最重要的一年，起了总结的作用。高三这一年用功与否，直接关系到能否迈进高中的大门，要扎扎实实，为高中打好基础。

即使以前的成绩很好，也不能骄傲自满；即使以前的成绩很差，也不能垂头丧气。因为那已是过去，过去已成为历史，不代表现在，更不代表未来。“胜不骄，败不馁”才是成功的关键。不要被过去的阴影所笼罩，应该勤奋努力，力求有所进步，重新看待自己，走向成功的未来。更不要被过去成功的辉煌所包围，要再接再厉，整理行囊，在上路，以这一次的成功为基石，走向下一个成功。
