就拿居里夫人研究放射性元素镭来说吧。在最开始的时候，居里夫人根本不知道如何去提取镭，她一遍遍地试验，但是却一遍遍地失败，可是，居里夫人并没有灰心丧气，她仍然一直坚持下去，她对自己非常有信心，相信自己一定可以成功，果然，黄天不负有心人，她终于成功地提取了这重要的放射性元素镭，为人类做出了重大的贡献。居里夫人作出了一个如此之大的发明，在开始的时候，她并没有掌握提取镭的方法，她是一步一步地研究，即使一直失败，她都没有放弃，她对自己有信心，她相信自己一定可以研究成功的，最后，她真的成功了。由此我们不难发现，其实，做一件事情，最重要的就是有自信心，只要相信自己，才会一直做下去，直到成功的出现。

我曾经看过一篇文章，讲的是一个小孩子。这个小孩一直在一位围棋大师那里学习围棋，他学习非常努力刻苦，大师讲的每一个字他都牢牢地记在心中，经过几年的学习，他掌握了高超的技艺。大师非常的高兴，他就帮小孩报了省里的围棋大赛。小孩从此就更加的刻苦学习，他想要夺下冠军。但他又想，这省里的围棋大赛肯定是高手云集，我一个小小棋手，又怎样能获得冠军呢?于是，他又非常的灰心，认为自己很难拿奖。到了竞赛那天，他更加的害怕，心里都在颤抖，与对手连杀几盘都输了。他的老师看了，说道“哎……这并不是技艺不如人，是你对自己没有信心，总是觉得自己不如别人，比不过别人，那你就算有再高超的技艺，又有什么用呢?”

是啊，我们做事情，本事固然重要，但是如果没有自信心的话，那么，他永远都不会成功。
