窗外，天阴沉沉的，似乎刚下过雨。

屋内，我一看表，要迟到了，于是一跃而起。匆忙中，我洗漱完毕，拎起书包，飞也似地骑车去学校。半路上，从一间小吃部飘来一阵阵诱人的香味，这时我才发现肚子早已饿了。经不住美食的诱惑，我停了下来。

知识就是力量(knowledge is power)

The saying "Knowledge is power" becomes universally accepted in that it reveals a simple yet brutal fact: It is the brain rather than sword that makes an individual or a nation strong.

The truth the saying speaks has been proven in mans civilization, which is, to the greatest extent, accelerated by mans knowledge in the form of science and technology. A century ago, it took many-years to send a message to the other end of the world. Nevertheless, we can have it done in seconds today with just touches on computer keyboard.

县委书记的爱人托雷锋帮孩子买一顶帽子，随手掏给他五元钱。可是，雷锋叔叔把买来的帽子交给县委书记的爱人时，却找还她七元钱。这是怎么回事呢?原来是县委书记的爱人把两张五元的钱当成一张给了雷锋。雷锋叔叔不为蝇头小利所动，视诚信如金，微笑着对县委书记的爱人说：“您把两张五元的新票子当成一张给了我，花三元钱买了一顶帽子，正好找回七元嘛!(详见《雷锋的故事》3034页。)

上面的这个故事让我深深地感动了。须知，在上世纪六十年代，五元钱并不是小数目(这是我从爷爷奶奶经常讲的故事中知道的)，可以办很多事情。那时候，五元钱可能比现在的五千元作用更大。我还知道，雷锋叔叔那时候生活并不富裕，却能够恪守中华民族视诚信如金的优良传统美德。仅凭这一点，雷锋叔叔就将永远是我的榜样。

现在，我们的社会正处于转型期，多元的价值观相互碰撞，利己主义，拜金主义相对抬头，整个社会的诚信体系岌岌可危。苏丹红、地沟油、毒胶囊等制假售假的事件层出不穷，真的让人忧心忡忡，感到诚信已如黄鹤般一去不复返了。
