我的家乡是烟台，烟台是苹果之乡，所以我很喜欢吃家乡的苹果。

家乡的苹果很大，高约10厘米、宽约5厘米、直径为16厘米，半径为8厘米。在苹果成熟的季节，漫山遍野就都挂满了红灯笼，真漂亮!苹果的外形是球状的，大小和桃子差不多，颜色是红色的，成熟的苹果红丹丹的，吃起来汁多而且非常甜，闻起来香气扑鼻。

苹果的种类有：山西临汾的特早红、湖北的金水苹、山东东平的早东苹、烟台的红富士、金帅、黄香蕉、嘎啦等。其中，烟台的红富士和金帅最为有名。红富士的特点：水分多，又脆又甜；金帅的特点；又甜又面。不管是什么种类的苹果都有一个共同的特点；每个苹果都很好吃，每个苹果都散发着清香。

苹果含有丰富的维生素和矿物质，另外，苹果还含有糖、蛋白质、脂肪、钾、钙、磷、锌、果胶、维生素B1、维生素B2等。苹果有“智慧果”、“记忆果”的美称。多吃苹果能提高智能，增进记忆力。
