一、英语写作的特点.

The characteristics of formal writing

1.名词化趋势

I do not eat much.-->I am a light eater.

The clock on the desk reminds me of time.-->I put a clock on the desk as a reminder of time.

We once cried, laughed and disappointed.-->There were moments of tears, moments of laughter, and moments of disappointment.

注意:名词化趋势的句子当然还有动词, 目的是尽量把表达句子中心意思的那个词汇用名词表达.符合英文的习惯.

2.无灵主语(区别于被动语态)

我们中文写作中,习惯以人做主语,而英文则相反,习惯以物做主格.

More and more young students studied further in the past two decades.

-->The past two decades witnessed a growing number of young students for further study.

Looking out of the window, you will have a nice view.

-->A glance out of the window offers you a nice view.

注意: 名词化趋势和无灵主语常常是相结合的.

3.被动语态

Main features of English sentences:

1.长短句结合

Love is patient and kind. It is never jealous, boastful, proud or rude. It keeps no record of wrong that others do. It always protects, always fruits, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails.

一般来讲,总结性的句子应当使用短句,而说理的句子应用长句.

2.并列复合句

这种句子属于十分难写的句子,也举一个例子:

3.单一复合句

也就是我们常说的各种从句,不再举例.

6.倒装

(1)将一些否定性含义的副词和短语在句首,用倒装会使句子生色不少.

(2)为使描绘更加生动,与介词同形的副词可以移动到句首,而把主语放到谓语后面去.

四、插入语

插入语可以是一个小词,也可以是一个同谓语的形式.

1.先看一个小技巧：(对there be 句型均有效)

通俗的讲,在老外眼里,主语与谓语离的越远,句子的档次越高.

2.插入语后面再接上一个定语从句;

The seafood is very delicious, you can have some for supper after swimming. The

world under the sea is a fantasy place. When you go into it, you will feel that

you are really under the sea. There are so many kinds of fish swimming around

you.

The most exciting program is “dancing with the shark” .that is some girls

who dress as the fish dive into the water and play.

寒舍是我在乡村的住所，建于上世纪90年代初，至今已有20多年了。

寒舍是在拆除的老屋旧宅基地上建造的，方方正正，没有错落有致的复杂结构，像一块被放大无数倍的积木。由于建房时经济的紧张，房子做得面积不大，上下二层只有百余平方米，现在显得十分狭小、局促。但刚建成时在小小的村子里还是有几份模样的，让第一次住进砖混结构楼房的我心中升出无比的自豪感。起初，一家人居住寒舍中并不感到窄小、局促，略略紧凑的房子还营造出一份其乐融融的温馨氛围。

在寒舍只住了十余年时间，我就搬进了小城，寒舍从此变得空落、寂静。但闲暇之时，我会到寒舍小住，它成了我想念乡村时就能迅速融入其中的桥梁。刚进小城，城市涌动的人流、车流，鳞次栉比的房子，琳琅满目的商品，五颜六色的霓虹灯，着实让农村走出的我感到十分的新鲜、迷醉。但久而久之，就看出了城市的喧嚣声太强，房子太高，空间太狭窄，人们太吝啬自己的情感，以至老死不相往来的等等不足，比不上农村的天地广阔，环境幽静，人心坦城、真挚。于是，心中就强烈怀念起乡村的日子。每到双休日或节假日便回到寒舍中体验乡村生活。尽管寒舍在时光的流逝中变得苍老了、陈旧了、外墙有的地方斑斑驳驳不太中看了，同旁边的新崛起的别墅似的住房相比更是相形见绌了，但在我的心目中它还是那样安祥、温馨、亲切，洋溢着家的味道，有着母亲般的宽厚，踏进其中就感到心里踏实，有归宿感。

在寒舍小住，我也不会闲着，在小院栽上些花卉，并时不时进行管理，培育宜人的绿色和花香萦绕在寒舍周围；对室内隔不了多久就打扫一次，保持其干净；对破旧的家具隔三差五的进行擦试，使之不染灰尘，让寒舍像一位衣着朴素的人，但看上去干净、整洁、熨帖，这样有人到寒舍小坐也不显邋遢。

只要我在寒舍小住，晚间左邻右舍见我堂屋的灯大亮着，他们就会走来和我唠嗑。三五人坐在一起，寒舍就不会寂寞，话闸一打开，满屋子里就热闹起来。乡邻们不会同我唠嗑像美国将要走向衰落，日本军国主义复活，世间风云变幻那样的国际形势，但乡音俚语中满是今昔生活时比的满足，对乡村人们命运变化的慨叹，做人处事的简朴道理，听来亲切、真实、中肯。那些话题游走在人生艰辛跋涉的岁月里，荡漾在做人善为本的体会中，穿梭在对未来生活的憧憬间，让思想像蝴蝶的翅膀一样轻灵的煽动起来，去触摸往昔痛楚而快乐的生活，领悟善恶到头终有报的道理，心灵仿佛受到一次洗礼。和他们在一起，就能感受到农民身上的质朴、厚道、纯净的品德。

寒舍没有空调，冬日生一盆炭火，乡邻围坐在一起取暖、闲谈，儿时众人集聚烤火的热闹场面就会浮现出来。此刻，仿佛时光倒流了几十年，回到了没有浮华和奢望的年代；夏日里，乡村蚊子多得“聚蚊成雷”，但在乡村中长大的人早已习惯，坐在院子里的竹床和小凳子上，摇着小扇，摆开“龙门阵”，就什么都不顾及了，谈笑声溢荡小院，能看到快乐飞飏。

寒舍最宜月夜，偶尔没有乡邻来唠嗑的夜晚，我喜欢一个人在月下独享静谧，一轮满月从东方冉冉升起，把远山、旷野、小村染得一片焦黄的恬静，或一轮皎洁明月挂在中天的万里朗照，抑或一轮弯月在淡云中穿行洒下的一片朦胧，都能滤去沉淀心中已久的喧嚣和烦闷，留下久违的遐思和超脱萦回心间。若在菊月赏月，独坐院落，身临黄菊，拈一缕月色，掬一捧菊香洒于清茶中，就会品出淡淡的凄静和思念，心灵就会在亦真亦幻的情景中独品人生。

寒舍虽显寒碜，但我却敝帚自珍，从内心珍爱。它是我几十年前辛勤汗水的凝结，是我心情抑郁时情感的寄托，是我寻觅往昔生活的“源泉”。我人生的风筝不管飞得多高多远，只要一线牵着寒舍，心中就会感到踏实、安帖、温暖。
