Recently,fog and haze has become a imminent threat which most northerners in China are facing.

While the cities of China have greeted striking speed of development with open arms,they suffer greatly from a persistent and dense haze of pollution and smog.

It is high time that we took some methods to protect the environment and ourselves.

Generally speaking,there are three effective ways.

First of all,the government should take into serious consideration the emergency and severity of the air pollution,and take measure to deal with it.

Such as more public transportation systems should be put in use,more energy-saving resources should be utilized.

What’s more,every little effort from individuals counts.

The citizens should contribute to the reduction of pollution by driving less.

Last but not least,try to reduce the time of outdoor activities,especially when the air quality is not good enough.

From what has been mentioned above, to protect our air,we must keep in mind that whatever we give out,we take back in the long run.

So we have to drive less,pollute less and make more changes.

今天，我很早就吃好了早饭，静静地坐在客厅里，想着很多年以后的环境变化。

我仿佛感觉自己长大了，变成了大人，忽然，旁边传来了一个小男孩的声音，"爸爸带我到河边去散步。"我带着"儿子"来到了运河边。原本，它是一条清澈见底的河，但是我一看，这条河已经黑得不能再黑了！这河水上面飘着许多死鱼，垃圾，到处一股鱼腥味儿和各种垃圾参杂的臭味儿，我差点吐出来，我赶紧拉起儿子小手离开了运河。

后来我又带着儿子去参观博物馆，我以为可以参观到恐龙标本啊，古代生物啊，什么的。但令我大吃一惊的是，里面全是现代生物。原来，动物已经成为了一个神秘的传说。

我忽然醒了过来，想到如果我们在不保护环境，那地球就会成为一个令人讨厌的星球，人类有可能也会面临灭亡，后果将不堪设想！

About Environmental protection

The air we breath, the water we drink, the animals with us...We are engaged in building a harmonious relationship between the nature and we human beings.

As a supervisor of HSE management in an oil company, I can see the environmental protection in a different way.

In 1989, an oil tanker hit a rock off the northwest coast of Alaska. 35,000 tons of oil poured into the sea. The accident was one of the worst in history. More than 34,000 birds and 10,000 animals were killed. 4,800 square kilometers of ocean were polluted.

The poured oil long-time coverd the surface of ocean and the bodies of marine creatures.We call oil as "black gold",at that time, it turns out to be "black killer".When I saw the famous French film"The travelling birds", thousands of birds are stuck by black sticky oil and died in a few days,many species are no more exist. Ill never forget that sight-shocking scene.

Therefore, we ought to bound up environmental protection with industrial safty control.

Secondly, when oil tankers use ultrasonic waves to test underwater oil stocks, many whales sensing system is spoiled by the instant powerful ultrasonic bolt. Once they were hit by a ultrasonic bolt,they were almost deaf. They cant effectively respond dangerous surroundings around them and are liable to be reeled in the engine of oil tankers or be killed by whaler and other natural enemies.Thereby,we can see the quantity of whales declines very fast.

Its a shame that a great many oil companies havent even realized that. Highly attentions needs to be paid on to keep improving the exploring technology of drilling work on the sea.

All in all, Enviormental protection is an extremely wide subject, In my short essay I can hope at most to lift one small corner of that field and yet it is a critical corner

Good environment can make people feel happy and fit . To improve the environment means to improve our life.

好的环境能让人感到快乐和健康。为了改善环境的手段来改善我们的生活。

We should plant more trees and flowers around us . We shouldn’t cut them down . We should stop factories from pouring waste water into the river and waste gas into the air.

我们应该在我们周围种植更多的树木和鲜花。我们不应该削减下来。我们应该阻止工厂向河里倾倒废水和废气到空气。

Whenever we see litter on the ground , we should pick it up and throw it into dusbins. Never spit in public. Don’t draw on public walls. It’s our duty to protect the environment.

当我们看到垃圾在地上，我们应该把它捡起来，把它扔进垃圾箱。不要在公共场所吐痰。不要在公共场所的墙上画画。保护环境是我们的职责。
