My mother is kind of short. But she is funny. She often tell jokes. Also she is sporty. She likes tennis,ping-pong and volleyball. She is good at cooking. She can cook kinds of different food. And we like eating them.

I think Spring Festival is the most important festival in China. It’s a beginning that is new and full of luck for Chinese.

A few days before the Spring Festival, people will clean their house and do some shopping. They’re busy days for adults because of much house’s work. But children always look forward to the coming of those days, which is due to buying much delicious food and many beautiful clothes. Al seems new during those days.

In the New Year’s Eve, children will have their bodies cleaned and dress nice clothes early. Why do they seem to be poppet? Because adults always give more lucky money to the good children.

In the evening, all the members of family will sit around the table and have a big meal. Fish and meat often appears on the table. After the dinner, many families will watch TV together and enjoy the Party of Spring Festival on CCTV. Several days before the Happy New Year， people begin to prepare. Farmers kill pigs， sheep， cocks and hens. City dwellers buy meat fish and vegetables. Houses are cleaned; coupletsare posted on the doors. Colourful lanterns are hung at the gate.

On the eve of the Happy New Year， each family has its members gatherd together and eats a family reunion dinner. After the meal they watch TV until the clock strickes twelve. Then every family sets off long strings of small firecrackers and other fire works to welcome the Happy New Year. On the first day of the Happy New Year， almost everyone is dressed in his or her best. When people meet on the way， they say to each other "Happy Happy New Year". Friends and relatives pay Happy New Year calls and gives presents to each other. Children indulge themselves in games.
