Recently, I have read the famous novel “Gone with The Wind” by Margaret Mitchell. Each character in this book gave me a great impression.

At beginning of the book, I think Scarlet was a beautiful, lucky woman. So many young men were in love with her and they always stayed around her. But in fact ,Scarlet was not the lucky woman I thought . She was fell in love with Ashley Wilkes, but the man was not like the other boys around her. when then news came that Ashley would be married with Melanie ,she felt surprised and even couldn’t accept the fact. With the psychology of revenging Ashley, Scarlett married to Melanie’s brother before the day of Ashley’wedding.

Soon after the war broke out , many young man died ,including Scarlett’s husband. Scarlett became a widow. She couldn’t stand the boring life, so when Melanie invited her to the home of Charles’s aunt. Without more consideration ,Scarlett left for Atlanta.

One time hospital hold a party to collect contributions. Then at the party ,she met Rhett buther, the man who loves her at first sight. Although Scarlett didn’t show any good feeling to him, Rhett buther always companied her and made her happy. For several reasons, she married again,but Rhett still loved her. When her second husband died, he asked Scarlett married him. Because he believed that he understoodher and he can bring her happy. After several month ,they got married. Their life became better and happier. Later they had a litte daughter, Bonnie. Rhett loved his lovely daughter just like the way he loved Scarlett. But Scarlett still loved Ashley. Unfortunitily, Bonnie died when she rided the horse. Rhett was hurt so badly that he couldn’t stand living with Scarlett,and he decided to leave. At this time she realised that the man she really loved was Rhett, not Ashley. She tried hard to persuard Rhett not to leave her. He left .I think it was a pity, but it doomed. Although Rhett love her so much ,he could do everything to make her happy, but she never opened her heart to him and tried to understand him.

Although Scarlett’s love was end up with tragedy. But from her attitude for life,we could know that she was a strong woman.she never gave up facing endless difficulties.when the war was terrible, everything was in confusion ,Scarlett had to take Melanie left back to home, the Tara Plantation. Hopefully she wanted her parent’s help. But to her surprise, her mum had died and her father was out of normal. Situation have became more difficult. While Melanie was going to give birth to a baby. Scarlet made her mind on taking on the task. In order to keep living ,Scarlett even went to work on farm ,she planted cotton. Melanie was in poor health, but she still went to help Scarlett to do farm work. She believed Scalett and gave her unselfish love. With Menlanie’s love,Scarlett supported her home,but at this time ,she still didn’t realize how important Melanie for her. In order to solve the problem of the Tara plantation,she married to Frank. In order to make a living she also did business which was unbelievable for women in this time. She struggled with countless difficulties, but she never gave up. She still believed “Tomorrow is a new day”。

Another girl that I loved in this book is Melanie,she was very kind and gentle. She never doubted the relationship between Scarlett and Ashley, she always standed in the side of Scarlett. Although Scarlett hated her and even wanted her to die. She still believed Scalett and treated Scarlett as her best friend. Melanie loved her husband ,when her husband was fighting in the war, she always waited for him. She didn’t have the strength to give birth, but she still wanted to have a baby for Ashley, finally, she died.

These three main characters in the book are all very obvious, but different. They gave me a impression. Scarlett was a plain girl, but what she did was not plain. She didn’t stay silent during the war, she changed her own life by strugling. In fact, many people lost what they have like Scarlett,but they all gave up to strive for the happiness that essentially belonged to them. Scarlett have the braveness to change the situation. But the pity was that she didn’t recognize the real love belong her in time. If she could got deep understanding of Ashley, she may not love him. If she could open her heart to Rhett and understand him, she may realized her love to Rhett. Sometimes I couldn’t help thinking that why the author can write this moved story. Maybe she have the similar experiences.

On the whole, this is a wonderful book, I feel very grateful that I can read it. I could get many benefits from it.

Huckleberry Finn was a great literary work published in 1885 and written by Mark Twain. One of the most positive things about the book would be that the reading level is not very advanced and that it shows us a glimpse of the past. Along with the reading level not being very advanced, the book itself is extremely well thought out, and brings the stories, characters, and imagery to life. One of the negatives is the amount of cursing that takes place throughout the book. This is a negative because it is at a children"s reading level and it does not add any literary value to the book as a piece of history. The ugly but I believe necessary part of the book is the use of the n-word. This is a necessary part of the book because it shows to our children and everyone the meaning behind the word. If anything it makes the reader more understanding of the troubles that the slaves when though and understand the meaning of the word a little more deeply.

This book was great, a masterpiece for the lack of words to describe how entirely wonderful it is. The book was a great classic, the only reason that I did read it is because we have to read a classic for school, however, now that I have read it I realize that it was a great book. I would read this book two or three times, and I do not like reading books again. The book was really able to portray the idea of childhood innocence and foolishness in the book, especially the end. I thought that this book was really an eye opener for people who may think that life is not worth living or maybe derpessed. Because, as you can see, Huck was a young boy who had an alcoholic father who beat him all the time, even kidnapped him after he was adopted by other people. Huck even decided to run away from his father, yet he is still a young, fun loving kid in the end, especially when Tom reveals to him how the whole trip was just a game. The only thing I have to say against the book is that it did seem a little racist with its words, however maybe this is just how they talked in that time period? Overall a great read that I highly reccomend.

The Hunger Games, is written by Suzanne Collins. The central ruling city, named the capitol, holds the hunger games. Every year，the evil Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. The Hunger Games are just a nationally televised event in which Tributes must fight with one another until one survivor remains.

To my surprise, Katniss involved in the hunger games, replaces her sister to play. She moves forward with faith, and finally wins both love and the hunger games. By the way, Katniss and Peeta are the tributes from district 12. Finally, they survive to the end and return home.

In my opinion, the Hunger Games is written mainly against domination. In another word, the hunger games are the product of domination. From the growth of Katniss, I deeply impressed that she is not only minute but also representative and aspirant, for the Hunger Game is not only a game itself as a show, but also the game between the Capitol and other 12 districts. This is a game about domination and revolution. In the Hunger Games, there are many moving scenes. While peeta joins the tributes from the richer districts. However, when he has the opportunity to kill Katniss, he instead saves her from the others. But Rue skilled by another tribute, whom Katniss then kills, Katniss sings to Rue until she dies, which encourages the watching people to chase for freedom and be against domination.

Besides this, I also learn something about hope from the story. Katniss moves all the way forward with hope. Knowing that the gamemakers would rather have to victors than none, Katniss offer some highly poisonous berries to peeta. Realizing that Katniss and Peeta instead to commit suicide, the gamemakers announce that they both will be victors of the 74th Hunger Games. Katniss is very mature, brave and wise. She is a b role model for young girls with her character"s sacrifice, courage, moral grounding in a world that"s lost its own, and will to fight for what"s right, even if it means sacrificing her own life or sparking a revolution.

Although the reality is cruel for almost every character in the fiction, the positive side of humanity and love is always bright.

The story happened during the Civil War eve.Scarlett O"Hara,a 16-year-old girl,who was living in Tala manor in Georgia,was loving her neighbor Ashley Wilkes.However,after the war have broken out, Ashley Wilkes married his yonger cousin Melanie. Scarlett was so angry that she decided to marry a man she didn’t really love---- Charles Hamilton.Not long after that, Charles Hamilton joined the Army and died of illness in the war.So Scarlett had to act as a widow.Afterwards,at a donating dance party,Scarlett is acquainted with a captain named Rhett Butler. In this book,what I appreciate most is not Melanie’skindness or Rheet’s dedication and patience,but Scarlett’s courage to throw her long-standing morality and tradition whe faced with diffiiculties.At the beginning of the war,she didn’t care about this.In her world are endless dinner parties and dance parties.In her body are her father’s brave Irish blood and her mother’s noble French pure blood.She had a vast farm as her home.She had hundreds of slaves.This is Scarlett.,a member of noblity,proud and different.However,the war changed everything.Her mother died of illness.Her father become silent and the farm was nearly deserted.Even food became a big problem.All the pressure was put on Scarlett’s shoulder.She must feed a family of 9 people in it.What a big difference of level.If all this happened to someone else,he or she may choose to escape.On the contrary,Scarlett choose to face the change of life bravely.How can we not admire her courage of to change herself.Life is like a mountain.The road can’t be completely smooth.When we fall down from the peak,we may get hert ,we may get disappointed,we may feel despair.But if you want to survive,you must stand up to face it.
