Academic Plagiarism

Nowadays, the problem of academic plagiarism becomes more and more serious. In orderto earn academic titles, some teachers plagiarize others academic papers; in order tograduate smoothly, some college students plagiarize others graduation papers. Everything hasits reasons; academic plagiarism is no exception.

First, college authorities put too much emphasis on papers while conferring academic titlesand graduating students. Second, modern technology makes it unprecedentedly easy to getinformation and materials. Some plagiarists who are morally corrupt cant resist thetemptation and decide to take risks. Third, the system of censorship and penalty are farfrom being strict, encouraging plagiarism to some extent.

Plagiarism causes many bad results. On the one hand, plagiarism infringes original writersright and it is unfair for teachers and students who dont plagiarize. A Fairy Tale in Fall

roaming on the path among the trees， i threw my sentiment into the blue sky， which landed on the ground of my alma mater，and brought me back to the day three years ago.

I hope that through 4 years of college life, I deeply appreciate the joy and sweetness of youth and growth. Farewell to the age of high school, entering the Universitys school, and the course of life has opened a new page. The road of life entered a new stage, the students we have hope and longing into China Three Gorges University, the ideal life will be established here in the future will be here in the foundation, a good university will also start from here. Entering the university with a vision and facing the new environment of the new term is also an important base. We should adapt ourselves to the new environment as soon as possible, and make a series of corresponding plans to rebuild our world. Many people have asked myself: "the road of life in the University, for the reading of several of the students, is undoubtedly the most important turning point in life, but life is also planning to start up precisely in this period. How do you plan to design a future for yourself when you start college life? It may perhaps dull colorful, harmonious, perhaps full of challenges and thorns -- but no matter how, accumulate steadily, is an inevitable rule. I remember a philosopher said, "go all the way, this is your life." Yes, the road of life is long, because it is the interpretation of your life meaning. The road of life is short and short, because every day you live is your life. Everyone is designing their own life, and they are all realizing their dreams. China has often been criticized for the rampant practice of software piracy. Take a look around. We operate on pirated Windows systems, defend PC security with pirated Kaspersky anti-virus programmes, process files with pirated Microsoft Office, draft 3D designs with pirated AutoCAD, refine pictures with pirated Adobe Photoshop, and study English with pirated Kingsoft’s electronic dictionaries and translators. It’s no exaggeration that pirated software is everywhere。

The logic behind the phenomenon is simple and clear: if a pirated copy is available for just a tiny fraction of the normal price, not to speak of many of the free downloads online, who would pay for an authentic copy? Cheaper prices aside, easy access is another important factor. With such a large gathering of pirated upgrades around, who would bother to spend time and money searching the stores for an authorized yet outdated version?

Despite these apparent benefits, the practice of software piracy should be banned, because it represents unfair competition and by nature it’s a no-win situation. But how? Two approaches are to be taken at the same time: Technically, software developers should enhance their antipiracy engineering, so that cracking the software should be virtually impossible. And legally, the government should also tighten its antipiracy laws and toughen up the penalties, so that violations should be costly。
