We operate on pirated Windows systems, defend PC security with pirated Kaspersky anti-virus programmes, process files with pirated Microsoft Office, draft 3D designs with pirated AutoCAD, refine pictures with pirated Adobe Photoshop, and study English with pirated Kingsoft’s electronic dictionaries and translators. It’s no exaggeration that pirated software is everywhere。

The logic behind the phenomenon is simple and clear: if a pirated copy is available for just a tiny fraction of the normal price, not to speak of many of the free downloads online, who would pay for an authentic copy? Cheaper prices aside, easy access is another important factor. With such a large gathering of pirated upgrades around, who would bother to spend time and money searching the stores for an authorized yet outdated version?

Despite these apparent benefits, the practice of software piracy should be banned, because it represents unfair competition and by nature it’s a no-win situation. But how? Two approaches are to be taken at the same time: Technically, software developers should enhance their antipiracy engineering, so that cracking the software should be virtually impossible. Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Day, is coming. Its a traditional North

American holiday,and is a form of harvest festival. In the United States, the

fourth Thursday in November is called Thanksgiving Day. Thanksgiving was about

the Pilgrims, the first settlers in America. They shared the first harvest with

the Indians and gave thanks.

Thanksgiving Day is usually a family day. People always celebrate with big

dinners and happy reunions. Pumpkin pie and Indian pudding are traditional

Thanksgiving desserts. Relatives from other cities, students who have been away

at school, and many other Americans travel a long distance to spend the holiday

at home.

On that day, Americans give thanks for the blessings they have enjoyed

When September comes, it means the new semester begins. Many freshmen come to the campus and the first thing they do is to get the military training. From 20xx to 20xx, I spent my college life in Hunan First Normal College. Reminding my college life, I think it was of great significance.

A Fairy Tale in Fall

roaming on the path among the trees， i threw my sentiment into the blue sky， which landed on the ground of my alma mater，and brought me back to the day three years ago.

that was a day in fall， that was a fall in my heart. shatters swung in the air， just like golden butterflies dancing in the breeze. the sunset cast her afterglow on the ground， as well as on her dazzling pink face. after a long silence， i looked into her clear eyes， whispered to her that i wondered whether i had a position in her future. she thought it for a while， walking back and forth. i noticed she trembled lips several times and let out no words. finally， she turned to me and flashed a wry smile："sorfy， i feel that distance makes beauty， lets just be good friends." i could never forget that sentence， just like a bolt from the blue. it hit me like a thousand knives stabbing all over my body. i couldnt breathe， i couldnt think， at least not about anything but the pain. gazing at her receding figure， i couldnt stop tears wetting my pale cheeks. the tale ended with the girls disappearance from my sight.

now fall comes again. i left myself nothing but the broken memories.
