A new year,a new start, when I stand on the edgeof a new year, I cant help thinking about my plan of next year.

Just as the old saying:"Well began is thehalf of the success.” So I decide that I should be at work while the others are still relaxing, and then,at the beginning,Im quicker than the others and ofcourse I will get better result than the others.

But, what I really decide to do is that I must make good of any time I can spare though it seems impossible. While,I will do my best to live up with what I have planned, and the result will prove it.

I like spring festival because we are very happy on that day.Last festival we had a good time and I will never forget it.In the morning all my family were busy preparing for it.I helped to clean the house and my parents were cooking some delicious food.On that afternoon we had a big dinner.At night we made jiaozi and set off fireworks to celebrate the festival.In the meanwhile we watched TV.My parents gave me much lucky money.The next morning we said happy new year to everybody from door to door.

The New Year is coming soon, my father and I are going to conduct a thorough cleaning, clean for the coming New Year.

In the afternoon, we began to the tense and busy cleaning. I to study finishing the book, I put the books back on the shelf, then, dad put me sort of clean again. Before long, bookcase, desk is wiped clean. Then, we began to clean the Windows, dad with cleaning the Windows tools brush back and forth on the glass, with old newspapers to wipe it again, the glass is bright. Look at books neatly, bright window, my heart joy bloom.

I guess, my mom came home from work will be a big surprise.

快过新年了，我和爸爸准备进行一次大扫除，干干净净迎接新年的到来。

下午，我们开始了紧张而忙碌的大扫除。我先到书房整理书本，我把整理好的书放回书架上，然后，爸爸把我整理过的地方擦了一遍。过了不久，书柜、桌子就被擦得干干净净的。接着，我们又开始擦窗户，爸爸拿着擦窗户的工具在玻璃上来回擦，再用旧报纸重新擦了一遍，玻璃就亮堂堂了。看着整整齐齐的书本，明亮的窗户，我的心里乐开了花。

我猜，妈妈下班回家一定会感到大吃一惊。

Spring Festival

The Spring Festival is very important to Chinese people. In the past，people could not often have meat，rice or other delicious food. They could only eat these during the Spring festival. So every year they hoped that the Spring Festival would come soon. Now， although people‘s life is much better，and we can eat the delicious foods everyday. People still like the festival.

Because most people can have a long holiday，and we are free to go on a trip or visit our friends or have parties with our family. In the evenings，we can have a big meal in the restaurant or stay at home with family and watch the TV programs.I like the Spring Festival very much. How wonderful the Spring Festival is！

Chinese Lunar New Year,or Spring Festival falls on January 1st according to the lunar calendar,usually around the late January or early February.As the start of spring as well as a new year,it is the most important celebration of the year.Each family get reunited during the New Year.On the Eve,there is a big dinner for the family when each member return to get together.

The biggest New Years party is held on CCTV.Hundreds of people gather there,meanwhile millions of others all over the country were sitting in front of the screen to watch excellent performances for more than four hours continuously.The bell strike twelve at midnight to welcome the coming of the New Year or Spring.People start to set off firecraks and say "Happy New Year" to each other.

The Spring Festival is the most important festival in China. People usually

decorate the doors and windows with red papercuts. becouse red means good luck.

People usually clean house too. becouse they want to sweep away bad luck.

Children can get some new clothes or presents from their parents and

grandparents. On New Years Eve,family always have a big dinner. Everybody are

watch TV and talk. In the midnight,there usually fairworks. On New Years

Day,people usually put on their new clothes and visit their femily and friends.

They usually say:"Happy New Years Day. " The Spring Festival finishes at the

Lantern Festival after two weeks. People usually eat a kind of rice dumpling

called yuanxiao. It can take people good luck all the year round.

The lunar New Year holiday, I stayed at home and not go out, really upset, and then left a telephone, right a phone call my aunt and cousin. The grown-ups package dumplings and after they come to my cousin and I have closed the door to play computer, heard mother and young aunt whispering in the outside. After a period of time, I and my cousin go out, hot dumplings already on the table. I use chopsticks to pick up a jiaozi, bite, immediately spit it out again, hot chocolate got burned inside me. "Strange, how can have chocolate?" I asked myself, to eat the one, and pick up a bite open look, one point one was preserved egg fillings. We are more strange, eat up one by one: egg yolk, candy, sausage, big jujube, apple... A wide range of a plate without a weigh appearance. A little later, a small dumpling is our "destroy".

As we gorge, mother and young aunt before hiding in the side smile keep not waist. Such as we had finished, they went out of the to say: "how, our colorful dumplings good!" "Well, well." I said, to wipe tears in eyes. "Whats wrong with you? Dont in" the lottery "?" Is "yes, I got the bag with red pepper dumplings!"

This is my colorful winter vacation, mixed, laugh youlei. ? Not bad!
