年30，早上杀鸡，富有的杀了7、8只，穷人也会杀上1、2只；快12点的时候，同宗的几户人家便集中在祠堂里，摆上鸡、鱼、猪尾巴（年底吃尾巴）等玩意，开始一年里最大规模、最隆重的祭祖活动，还要请文化人念几十年不变的祭文，其内容无非是什么“求学者早入功门、求福者福如东海、求财者财源广进、求寿者寿比南山”之类的美好愿望，祭完先人，就正式开始过年啦！
