Linking the result with modern National Forest Inventory data, the spatial-temporal dynamics of Chinese forest in recent 300 years (AD 1700–1998) is quantitatively analyzed. The study shows that in recent 300 years, the forest area in current territory of China has declined by 0.95×108 hm2 (or 9.2% of the coverage rate) in total, with a trend of decrease and recovery. Before the 1960s, there was a trend of accelerated de- scending. The forest area was reduced by 1.66×108 hm2 (or 17% of the coverage rate) in 260 years. While after the 1960s, there has been a rapid increase. The forest area increased by 0.7×108 hm2 (or 8% of the coverage rate) in 40 years. The study also shows that there is a significant spatial difference in the dynamics of forest. The amplitudes of increasing and de- creasing in western China are both smaller than the ones in eastern China. During the rapid declining period from 1700 to 1949, the most serious decrease appeared in the Northeast, the Southwest and the Southeast, where the coverage rate in most provinces dropped over 20%. In Heilongjiang Province, the coverage rate dropped by 50%. In Jilin Province, it dropped by 36%. In Sichuan Province and Chongqing Municipality, it dropped by 42%. sports in the past. But now, I like take exercise, which can make me healthy.

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Now, it’s my turn. My

name is Edgar, a high school student. I am much honored to be here to give you a

speech. Also its a good chance for me to improve my English. I hope I can make

a good performance today. The topic of my speech is "After studying here".

Before I came here, I can never imagine that I can learn so much knowledge

about other countries, which cant be got from my books in school. Three months

ago, I took my first class. Unfortunately, I felt so embarrassed, because I even

cant speak any words, though I know I really love English.

After that, I took some of my tutors advice and previewed the lesson that

I’ll learn. What’s more, in every class, I JUST try my best to say as much as

possible. Now, I can only remember it’s a really hard time. What’s worse, I had

to go to my high school and went there at the same time.

After several weeks, I began to get used to the atmosphere in web .At least

Im not afraid to speak in front of my tutor and foreign teachers.

During web’s period, I found I had improved a lot, both physically and

mentally. For example, how to be a confident person, how to plan for my future.

And the most important is that I have learnt how to communicate with others,

which is a necessary skill. Nowadays studying is not the only thing that we high

school students should do, there are some more important things we have

ignored.

First, I am grateful for my parents. They have spent so much money for me,

but never ask for anything in return. I really know how hard it is to work on

such living conditions.

Now it’s time to introduce my tutor sally. It was she that led me to the

right studying here. It was she that helped me deal with all kinds of annoying

things. Also there are some other teachers that I appreciate, especially Laura

and Anita. Of course, I like to take foreign teachers classes. Anyway, thanks

I know I am young; there is a long way in my life. I have to face the

My favourite cartoon character is doraemon.he gets to a boys home by a magic machine.the boys name is daxiong and they become good friends.daxiong always meets problems.but he doesnt like the mouse.
