Our school had been on winter vacation since December 11. I stayed at my friend, Stephen Stapczynskis house--his family was my "host family". Although Christmas was still more than ten days ahead, the festive spirit had already been teeming everywhere. The Christmas tree had already been set up, and on every windowsill, there were Christmas lights. On the first day I arrived at their house, Stephen and I helped Mrs. Stapczynski put decorations on the Christmas tree. The tree looked so nice with all the lights on and the beautiful ornaments dangling from its branches.

As Christmas came closer, the whole neighborhood had made preparations too. Some people would hold parties at their houses, inviting all their neighbors to come. So every night, if you went out, you would see a long line of cars parked in front of some house--a partys on!

Whats more, the Christmas decorations that some people put on their windows and in gardens were just amazing. On one night, we went out in our car for a "tour of lights". There was one street that was so famous for its lights that it got its way into the local paper. We had a hard time finding the well-hidden street, but it turned out to be worth the effort. Lights shone brightly in front of nearly every house, on trees, bushes, doors, windowseverywhere, taking different shapes, making it seem almost like daytime. Huge inflatable figures in the front gardens were waving to us: there were Santa Clauses2, of course, chuckling merrily away; and there were also other Christmas figures, like Rudolph3--the red-nosed reindeer--with his red nose gleaming ever so brightly; even Bart Simpson--a character in the famous comedy The Simpsons--had joined the jolly party, wearing a Santas hat. The street set off a lot of "ooh"s and "aah"s inside the car.4 When we left, there was a line of cars in the street, all there to see the lights.

Christmas is the time for exchanging presents. Stephen and Niko had been thinking about their Christmas lists (a list of things they wish "Santa"to give them for Christmas) for a long time. I didnt want to ask for anything, but the Stapczynskis were so kind to "force"me make one list as well (Mr. Stapczynski told me if I didnt make one he would chop off my legs). So I wrote down a couple of things that I would like to have, and gave the list to them--sorry, my mistake--to Santa.

Finally, Christmas Eve came. There was a special Christmas service at the church at 6 p.m. It was certainly a very interesting experience for me. The priest started the service reading and sang out extractions from a holy book--The Divine Liturgy. For several times, we would stand up and pray.

Sometimes, the church choir would start singing. The atmosphere was very quiet and holy. Then there was a ceremony called "The Receiving Communion". People waited in line to "receive"a spoonful of food from the priest. It was a very special Christmas tradition. The food was made from bread and wine. The bread represents the body of Jesus, and the wine represents his blood. After this ceremony, the priest had a speech. He reminded us not to forget the true meaning of Christmas, and let Jesus really live inside us--that is, to love the people around us wholeheartedly. I think that no matter if you are a Christian or not, this principle should be part of our lives. After the priest finished his speech, the part that I enjoyed most came: Christmas carols5. Christmas carols are songs that people sing at Christmas, such as "Jingle Bells", "We Wish You a Merry Christmas", "Silent Night"and so on. Some were very merry, others sounded quite holy, but all of them were beautiful. I closed my eyes, and let all the peacefulness and happiness that were in the songs flow through me. What a feeling it was!

We went to sleep earlier that day for we had to get up early on Christmas Day to open our presents. Sure enough, when I was still half-way during a sweet dream, Stephen burst into my room and told me to get up and open presents. There were a huge pile of presents under the Christmas tree, and there was such a mysterious mist shrouding them that made me eager to see what they all were. So one by one, we went through all the presents. Mr. and Mrs. Stapczynski had bought me everything I had written on my Christmas list--and a lot more! I got music CDs, film DVDs, clothes, books I was very happy, and I didnt know how to express my appreciation for what they had done for me.

Stephen and Niko had gotten a lot of presents too, and they had already been trying out their new games!

In the afternoon, we went to Mrs. Stapczynskis brother, Uncle Stans house. They had prepared a marvelous meal for us. A lot of their friends and relatives also came. I saw Stephen and Nikos grandparents, Yiayia and Papou (words of grandma and grandpa in Greek--Mrs. Stapczynskis parents came from Greece, so they like the boys using Greek words to call them). They were very kind to me, and treated me just like one of their family members. We had a very luxurious meal, consisting of turkey, beef, pork, and all sorts of other food.

After the meal, when all the stomachs were full and everyone was feeling drowsy6 from all the food, we just sat around the table and chatted, just like what we Chinese people do at the Spring Festival. After all, Christmas, like the Spring Festival, is a time for us to get away from our busy lives, a time for family gathering, and a time to have some fun.

Every child needs to receive education and they spend so much time to learn

knowledge, whether they are like or not. The adults always tell their children

that as they are young and full of energy, so they should learn knowledge and

skills, but most kids dont know the necessity of study. The most important

reason to study is to keep pace with the time. We live in the society that we

need to make connections with others. If we dont get the newest information, we

will be kicked out and have no idea what they are talking about, then isolation

happens. Whats more, when we are equipped with skills, we can make our choices

and take charge of our life. In order to live the comfortable life, we must

study hard and fight for our future.

I read the Chinese version of “Camille” a few years ago. At that time I was deeply moved by the main character Marguerite Gautier. “Camille” or “The Lady of the Camellias” by Alexandre Dumas, fils, is the story of Marguerite Gautier, a young courtesan, or kept woman, in Paris in the mid 1800s, and how she falls in love with a young man, Armand Duval, and then tries to escape from her questionable past. And it also showed that Marguerite really loved Armand Duval for she could even change herself for him.

However, happiness didn’t last for long. When M. Duval, Armands father, came to her, pleading for her to leave Armand to save both Armands reputation and that of his younger innocent sister, Marguerite saw a way to become pure of heart, if not in body. She felt that it was her duty, because she loved Armand so much, to do this even though it meant giving up her own happiness and hurting Armand temporarily. She reluctantly returned to her former life, knowing that some day Armand would forgive her. Sadly, she died in debt and basically alone, except for her one female friend, Julie Duprat, who helped her during her illness. She had her journal sent to Armand after her death, explaining why she had made the choices she had. (课前给学生发一张关于细节描写的资料)

师：上次我们写了一篇作文《新学期第一天》同学们针对下面六个方面看一下自己的作文属于哪一类?(出示小黑板：A书写太差，或错字连篇B字数不足C标点符号乱用D结构不合理E记叙文平淡如水F有叙无议，无感想)

(学生分析找出问题，交流后得出共同毛病：记叙文平淡如水，无感想。)

师："人物"是文章的灵魂，但在同学们的习作中常见的人物形象往往是千人一面，既无个性，又不生动，整篇文章显得干瘪乏味，缺少感染力。仔细阅读这些作品，就会发现这样一个共同的问题：往往只是一味地追求把某件事写完整，而忽略了进行生动具体、细致入微的细节描写。什么是细节描写呢?请同学们看资料的第一段。

(学生看第一段，老师找一位学生朗读。)

师：同学们有哪几类吗?首先说一下人。

生齐声答道：肖像、动作、语言、心理、神态。(板书)

师：事呢?

生齐声答道：起因、经过、结果。(板书)

师：还有环境呢?

生齐声答道：自然环境、社会环境。(板书)

师：原来细节描写是这么回事。同学们能曼迪"号遇难记》为例举个例子说说吗?

生甲：第一段就是环境描写，为后文故事的发生做了很好的铺垫。

生乙：还有主人公的肖像描写。

生丙：还有主人公的语言描写，很好的投出了他的个性。

…

师：很好。同学们找得很细致，分析得也很准确。同时，我们也可发现，各细节描写是密不可分的，事中有人，人必有事，记人叙事，是为了共显主题。(板书)环境描写是为人、事提供特定环境，起铺垫映衬作用。(板书)我们的作文为什么没能做好呢?请同学们看资料中的例一。看看哪项比较好?交流一下，说说为什么好?

生阅读交流后齐声答到：B项。

师：为什么B项好呢?

生甲：B项通过肖像、动作、语言、心理等描写将老师的形象生动的展显了出来。

生乙：B项写的更细致。

师：这是我们这次作文中的两个同学写的。比较之后，不难发觉B项好得多。为什么呢?除了刚才两位同学说的以外，我想之所以没想到写这些内容，还有态度问题、认知问题以及平时观察习惯问题等，只要我们态度端正了，认识了问题所在并养成习惯，作文一定能写好。下面我们再看后面几个例子，一、二两组分析例二，三、四组分别分析例三、四。希望同学们积极阅读、分析、讨论，一会儿在班上发表意见。分析、讨论可从三个问题着手：1、哪一向好?2、为什么这项好?3、那些地方还应该修改一下?

(学生阅读--分析--讨论后全班交流)

师：我们先请一、二组同学说说好吗?一组哪位同学发表一下高见。

生甲：BC组好，因为A虽然用"紧张得要命"、"很是伤心"等词，但我们并不感觉到他有多紧张，有多伤心，BC组分别从心理、幻觉上生动的描写出了紧张的程度。

生乙：EF组好，因为EF组分别从环境、动作上生动的描写出了紧张的程度。

师总结：是的，两位同学说的都很正确。B项属内心独白，就是自己对自己讲的无声的话。人在不同的心理状态下会对自己讲不同的话，这不同的话就能反映人物不同的心理状态。把特定状态下自己对自己讲的话详尽地描写下来就能生动地表现出人物的心理。(板书：注意在内心独白之前应加上"想"、"心说"等提示语。)C项属幻觉描写，人在极度紧张的状态下，眼前或耳边会有虚幻的画面或声音，其内容往往是自己最怕看到或听到的，把这些详细地描绘下来，就能十分准确地表现人物的内心世界。(注意在进行幻觉描写前也要用一些提示语，如："似乎看见"，"仿佛听到"等提示语。)D项属环境描写(板书)，一个人在不同的心情时看相同的景物，会产生不同的感受，因为人对使自己心灵产生感应的事物特别敏感，因此人的眼睛能根据自己的心情选择景物，并伴随着强烈的主观感受，新学期作文《作文细节描写》。在紧张的状态下，人会焦虑、烦躁等等，因而对声音、光线会产生与平时不同的感受。把这些经过眼睛选择过的在特定感受笼罩下的景物描写下来就能充分地表现人物的精神状态。E项属语言行动描写(板书)，语言行动是心理的外在表现形式，人物的心理通过语言行动向外界传达。人在紧张的状态下他的语言行动就会扭曲，就会与平时不同。写作时只要抓住这些不同，就能生动形象地刻画人物紧张内心世界。哪位同学还有意见?

生：我觉得如果把B项放在A项中间会更完美。

师：哦，你从语言的完整性看的吗?

生：是的。

师：很好，你的意见很有启发性，作文语言确实应该上下连贯表达一个完整的意思。下面请三组同学说说好吗?

生甲：我认为B项好。

师：为什么?

生：因为B项将"性格内向"用一件事表现的淋漓尽致。

师：哦，以事写人(板书)，将人的个性表现得更加具体突出。还有需修改的吗?

生：没有了。

师：那么请四组说说例四的优劣。哪位同学说?

生甲：B项好，B项加了一些修饰语，将人物个性表现得更为突出。

师：是吗?加修饰语，不厌其烦(板书)的描写细节，将人物个性表现得更为突出。

生乙：A项好，B项太罗嗦。

师：哟，你觉得B项罗嗦吗?

生乙：是的，有时会让人感到烦。

师：你说的也有道理，看来描写的细致与否还要看需要而定，不可随意而为。我们学习了这么多，是否练习一下呢?请同学们描写一下我们班的某一位同学好吗?

生齐声答道：好。

师：可不许恶意挖苦打击呀，那会伤同学间情感的。写好后我们读一读，让同学们猜猜是谁，好吗?

生齐声答道：好。

(学生写，教师巡视指导。)

师：哪位同学读一读?

(学生举手读，其他同学猜，教师评。课堂上洋溢着欢乐的气氛。)

师：从以上同学写的可以看出我们这节课受益匪浅，我们能用"这节课我学到了__"总结一下吗?可参看一下资料上的总结。

(学生总结交流后下课铃响)

师：这节课我学习了细节描写，希望同学们在今后作文中能用上这些知识。知识在于积累，下去后请搜集关于春夏秋冬的环境描写。好，下课。

教学思路分析：

(1)有关教学导入，我想了很久。如果直接由细节描写的含义引出，恐怕比较枯燥，学生不感兴趣。如果从某些小说中有关人物描写的语句入手，未尝不可，但是缺乏新意。于是我从这次作文的失误入手，编写了例一。由此引出本堂课的内容"用细节描写来表现人物"，学生学习的积极性一下子被调动起来了。

(2)对细节描写含义的理解，比较简单，关键是如何理解它的作用。于是，我选了四个例子用比较的方法让学生体会到细节描写的重要作用，由此引出本堂课的主题--重视细节描写。

(3)接下来是片段作文，四人一组进行讨论，描述班中某位同学，其中可以综合运用各种细节描写，最后让同学猜猜描述的是谁。分组讨论学生气氛活跃，连平时较腼腆的同学也活跃起来了。因为描述竞猜的都是朝夕相伴的同学，所以学生的热情很高。

(4)再接下来让学生搜集关于春夏秋冬的环境描写，用以课堂的拓展。

教学后记

从上述教学流程看，首先，整堂课按照认知、理解、运用、拓展的教学思路循序渐进，由浅入深，从课内到课外，既忠于教材，又不限于教材。

其次，这节课的教学内容从学生的生活实际出发，有关用细节描写淑女与粗汉的吃相的写作片段以及描述班中某位同学，学生很有兴趣，气氛很活跃。此外，在整个交流过程中，也使学生口语表达和书面表达的能力得到了提高。

最后，从这堂作文课堂教学的实践中，我得出写作指导课也能把课堂气氛调动起来，这要求教师应该以学生为主体，重视学生的参与，并且活用教学形式，努力营造平等、民主、和谐的教学氛围，这样才能提高教学效率，收到良好的教学效果。

作文要注重细节描写

认知：

所谓细节就是细小的环节或情节；描写是对事物的具体状态作描绘和摹写。而细节描写就是对事物的基本组成单位进行刻画，如对人物的一举一动、事物发展的具体环节、环境中的细小物体进行细微描摹。

结合事例分析理解：

例一：

A上课铃响了，随后走进来一位男老师，他说他姓张，是我们班主任，教英语。之后就讲了一些学校纪律和学习要求，一节课就这样过去了。

B上课铃响了，随后走进来一位年轻的男老师，一米七左右的个，微胖，蓄着平头，看着挺精神的。他稳步走上讲台，目光一扫，喧闹的教室立刻静了下来，我的心不禁怦怦地跳了起来。只听他说："我姓张，弓长张(随手在黑板上写了一个大大的漂亮的"张"字)。我是你们的班主任，教英语，希望今后我们能一起愉快的度过初中三年。"之后就讲了一些学校纪律和学习要求，、又介绍了一些学英语的方法，语言虽威严却不乏温和，"哦！初中老师也并不是那么吓人。"我拍拍胸口长出了一口气。第一节课就这样过去了。

星期和日期写在左上角，天气写在右上角。

日期格式用月日年（美式）或日月年（英式）都可以。

1. 年、月、日都写时，通常以月、日、年为顺序，月份可以缩写，日和年用逗号隔开。例如：december 18, xx或者dec. 18, xx。

2. 如果要写星期，星期要紧挨日期，它既可以放在日期前面，也可以放在日期后面，星期也可以省略不写。星期和日期之间不用标点，但要空一格，星期也可缩写。例如：thursday dec. 18, xx或dec.18，xx thursday

3. 天气情况必不可少。天气一般用一个形容词如:sunny, fine, rainy, snowy等表示。天气通常位于日记的右上角。

Body language is used by people for sending messages to one another. It is very useful because it can help you make yourself easily understood. When you are talking with others,you are not just using words, but also using expressions and gestures. For example, waving ones hand is to say "Good-bye." Different countries have different body language. For example, men in Russia, France and Arab countries kiss each other when they meet, but men in China or Australia shake hands instead of kissing. 一、优化词汇输入教学，丰富词汇知识积累

词汇是一篇文章最基本的组 成要素。头脑中如果没有一定数量的、且处于鲜活状态的词汇，就无法写出好文章。要写出好的文章，就必须善于从众多的词语中选择和运用最恰当的词语。因此， 加强词汇教学、扩大和丰富学生的词汇量是提高学生写作能力的基础工作。克拉申的“语言输入假说模式”认为：正确和恰当的语言输入将会使语言学习的效果更 佳。

最佳语言输入的两个必要条件：

1)密切相关的

2)大量的。因此，将密切相关的常用词汇、习惯搭配适当集中教学，反复归纳、不断循环和强化是较好的词 汇输入方法，同时也保证了常用词汇在头脑中的鲜活状态，为写作输出提供可靠保障。

二、加强基础写作训练，活化基础知识积累

在学生写作过程中，我们 常常会发现许多学生的词汇量与运用能力不成正比的现象，写作中经常出现词汇贫乏和用词不当等问题。这种问题的出现实际上是学生获得的知识没有有效的活化。 配合词汇和句型教学，教师可以经常以所教学词汇为关键词拟定一些与时事或生活相关的话题，让学生用词、句做翻译练习，一段时间(4-5天)之后，再让学生 用这些词、句进行写作，多写多练以达到活化知识的目的。

三、广泛阅读，拓展知识积累

“熟读唐诗三百首，不会作 诗也会吟”。在大量的阅读过程中，可使学生开拓视野，拓展知识，增加语感，为写作提供必要的语言材料。写作和阅读是互相促进、相辅相成的。有些词汇和句 型，学生只是似曾相识，通过广泛的阅读能促使学生把这些东西运用得更熟练，表达得更准确。反过来，这也会有效地提高学生的阅读理解能力。

今天我们玩了一个叫画鼻子的游戏。

我一来到教室，老师就已经画好了一个宋美人，大家感觉很奇怪：“这个是干什么？”上课了，老师宣布今天要玩一个叫画鼻子的游戏，同学们都欢呼起来。老师先简单介绍一下游戏规则，游戏就开始了。

I havent write diaries for a period of time. I am now writing this just want to remember one thing. My study has fallen behind a lot this term. I can keep my score in the top ten in the whole school ranking before. But this term I fall behind. I nearly draw back to fifty. I know the reason is because I am too arrogant. I think I can be the best without studying hard. So I usually not pay too much attention on my study. When I find myself lag behind, I comfort myself it is accident.
