She is very busy today, just like a busy bee. In the morning, I had two seccsions and after that I had a lesson for my IELTS. I dont even have my lunch. I have a good friend, her name is Lily. We met each other since we were

five years old. At that time, I moved next to her house, because of my father’s

A hobby can be almost anything a person likes to do in his spare time. Hobbyists raise pets, build model ships, weave bas-kets, or carve soap figures and so on. In a word, hobbies offer en-joyment, friendship, knowledge and relaxation.

Then, what is my hobby? Well, what I like most is singing. I began to sing songs when I was very young. My uncle was studying in a college then, so he could sing lots of songs, and he taught me several songs. I showed great interests in the music then, for they were pleasing to ears and easy to sing. My uncle told me they were called pop songs.

When I grew up, my music teacher found that I had a good voice, so she sent me to the Childrens Palace to study vocal mu-sic. From then on, I began my vocal music training. And then I knew there were several kinds of songs, like folk songs, pop songs and so on. What I had learned most was the songs for children. They were all simple ones but our teacher trained us very strictly. We practiced how to produce sound and how to make our expres-sion more natural and more pleasing. Those simple training didnt reduce my interest in singing at all and I won awards one after another in several kinds of competition. Actually I began to make up a dream of becoming a famous singer in the future.

As time went by, I came to realize that my dream wouldnt come true for there were strict conditions of being a singer. But I still took singing as my hobby since I found in music the interests which were lost in the exams. When I put all my emotion into singing a song, it gave me very good and very pleasant feelings, and a good chance to relax. Besides, it was a good way to learn things that couldnt be easily found in life.

Now as Im saying goodbye to my childhood my voice has changed into a deep male voice, and therefore I can sing a lot of songs written for adults. I am often deeply moved, by the melody or by what the song.

I have many friends, but Jim is one of my best friends. He is not handsome,

but kind-hearted. We know each other at primary school. He was the tallest in

our class at that time. He is good at study and playing basketball, while bad at

playing table tennis. Everytime he has delicious food, he will give it to me.

Moreover, whenever I feel sad, he will play with me and comfort me. However, he

is not spoilt me. For example, everytime I meet difficulties in study, I would

like to copy his, but no matter what I say, he never give his homework to me to

copy. Instead he teaches how to do it. All in all, no matter what difficulties I

meet, he will help me. It is him make me realize that a friend in need is a

friend indeed.

My summer vacation life is happy, rich and memorable experience. Because, in the summer vacation with my mother took me to a beautiful environment the universiade cultural park to play ah, elder sister took me to eat roast wing, brother to accompany me to play chess, and young aunt, aunt to accompany me to play CARDS, play chess, I am more than happy!

In this summer holiday, I didnt go to any computer classes. But, do homework, read, self-study "new concept English" are all I have to do every day. I am at present a student at Mary High School, Hong Kong, where I have been studying for the past five years. I passed the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination last year with distinctions in English and History, and credits in Economics and English Literature. My advanced-level subjects are History, Economics and English Literature. In addition to these subjects, "Use of English" is also a compulsory subject because a pass in English is a minimum requirement for admission to most faculties of the University of Hong Kong.
