I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so. The drought in the south-west China has lasts for several months, which makes people face water and food scarcity. We should learn lessons from it.

The drought can be cause by several factors. Firstly, about 63 percent of cities in China are facing water scarcity. The situation is worsened by pollution and industrialization. In addition, too many trees have been cut down, so forest coverage has been decreasing rapidly.
