During the winter holiday, I was very happy because of the Chinese new year

and other reasons. During the holiday, my parents and I went back to my hometown

in the countryside in Hebei Province. I had not come back for several years, so

that I was so surprised to find that great changes had taken place in this small

village in the past years. Almost every family in the village had color TV set

and some of them had computers. Many families had their houses newly built or

rebuilt. Previously,could be seen everywhere, but now they have taken on an

entirely newlook. Motorcycles or even private cars are not luxuries any

more.

One of the villagers proudly told me that he and some other villagers were

going to join a tour and travel abroad. Previously, the villagers were busy in

their farm work all the year round, but now they have much more time and money

to relax or entertain. Traveling has become a new trend among villagers. Seeing

these amazing changes, my father said that he would go back to my hometown as

soon as he retired. As for me, I strongly supported his idea.

Everyone has some unforgettable experience. I will never forget my fiest volunteer work. Last summer, our class went to a country primary school to help the students there. First, we gave away some books and stationery to them. Then we talked about school life. I was quite shy before, but to my surprise, I talked with some students for almost an hour without intermission. I shared my effetive study methods with them excitedly. Finally, we played games together. All of us felt so happy.

By doing the volunteer work, I not only gained happiness, but also became more confident. It made me experience that giving is receiving.

列车缓缓地驶向湖南火车站，喘着粗气慢慢地停了下来。啊！我思念已久的湖南终于到了！湖南，我来了。

“爸爸，妈妈，走，咱们快点下车吧”我迫不及待地喊了起来。

刚下火车时，天已经黑了，我们就住进宾馆去睡觉了。

终于，等到了第二天，我们早早地醒来。精心打算后我们决定去凤凰古城游玩，大约过了十几分钟左右我们来到了凤凰古城。我们一进去就看到一个由石头修筑的凤凰雕像展示在面前，简直霸气十足，让我大吃一惊。

傍晚，我们就回去吃晚饭，在吃晚饭时我们还知道了这里的特产有血粑鸭、酸菜鱼、还有姜糖等。

第三天早上，我们跟着导游团去了很多地方，还穿了苗族的衣服照相。晚上我们又去看了篝火晚会，其中最让我大开眼界的是，一个人用火在铁板上烤，等很烫的时候居然在铁板上行走。还有一个人用火烧自己的身体但却一点也感觉不到。

终于，我们载着满足的心情上了火车，一路上尽是欢声笑语。

There are four key points to study English: listening, speaking, reading

and writing.

Firstly, we should be brave to talk with others in English. By doing this,

we can improve ore talking and listening skill.

Secondly, we should try to listen to all kinds of English programmes as

much as possible. In this way, we can gradually improve our pronunciation.

Thirdly, we should often read English books. When we come across a new

word. We should guess its meaning through the contest first. Then look it up in

the dictionary to have a check. I thin,, it is a good way of reading.

Fourthly, we should practice our writing skills. Whenever we have any idea,

we should get the pen and write it down at once. It is very important to avoid

writing in Chinese way and using the Chinese grammar.

As long as we listen, speak, read and write more, we are sure to make

remarkable progress!

I went Chong Qing in July 22.It is a city which was built near mountains.

So people call it Mountain City. In Chong Qing,I went to the Red Stone Center, to see the places which the prisoners lived in the past. It is a terrible and awful trip. There are a lot of dogs, and soldiers with guns near the prisons. And most of the prisons are good, they didnt want to tell the bad people where the other people were. They lived in very small houses. No good food to eat, no good water to drink.They had only twenty minutes to stay out side per day but they still said nothing.

I think they are the heros in that century. I will follow their spirit.

It was a sunny day today,when I got up in the morning, I decided to see my grandparents. So I took the bus and got there at noon,they were happy to see me, and I was very happy, too.

今天天气不错,太阳天.当我早上醒来,我决定去看看爷爷奶奶,所以我乘巴士中午到了那里,爷爷奶奶看到我很开心,而且我也很开心。

The Spring Festival is a traditional festival for all Chinese people. On

that evening there is a very traditional ceremony----Spring Festival Gala, which

is the favorite for many people. It brings so much happiness to Chinese all

around the world .

When asked about their opinion on Spring Festival Gala, people always

reason differently. Some people deem that it should be cancelled, while there

are also other people who argue that it should be continued.

Some people take it for granted that the Gala should not exist because it

is too boring on the evening of the Lunar New Year. Besides, the form of the

Evening seems the same every year. In comparison, there are, however, a large

number of people who hold a different view concerning this issue, they insist

that the Gala must be continued. They argue that it is one of the most important

celebration customs. And they think the Gala is worth expecting.

As far as I am concerned, I am intending to stand on the side of the latter

group of people. Admittedly, the former point of view seems reasonable, but the

latter is more persuasive. Taking the above-mentioned factors into

consideration, I can safely conclude that the Gala just needs a reform in the

future but not to be cancelled.

In Chinese culture, it is every childs duty to return their parents as

they grow up. The children know their duty and they work hard to give parents a

better life. As a child, I was grateful to my parents as they gave me all their

love, so I made up my mind that I must earn a lot of money and then I could pay

back my parents money. But as I grew up, I realized that money was not that

only way I could return my parents. Whats more, my parents dont care about my

money, and they just want to spend more time with me. When I grow up, I will

move out and probably live far away from them. At that time, if I come home

often, they will be happy. I think every parent just want care from their

children.

在要出发的那天早晨，我带着愉快的心情到车站去等我的姨丈，当时我的头脑里就想着这三明到底是什么样子，到底美不美。真想一下子就飞到那里去，我和我的爸爸妈妈吃完早饭时，我心里都非常的着急，怎么姨丈的车还没有到啊，我就时不时的问我我的爸爸快可以走了没有。

就这样从早上7点等到快到九点，我的人都快疯了一般。当我上车的时候，那种激动的心情，我真的无法形容，我是欣喜若狂-心情非常的畅通无比。大概坐了快3个小时的车，终于来到了三明，我当时都不敢相信自己的眼睛，往前面一看。好大的一座城市啊，比我那里大了好几倍呢？我就这样迷迷糊糊的走了一路过来，就坐了一部公交车去三明医院，上了车后，车就开始出发了，在车里时我不直在问我的爸爸快到了没有，我我的爸爸说快到了，我算了，一共绕了十几圈才到，真的好大啊，那么多的路口，我真的转晕了。

到了三明医院是要去看我的舅舅的，外面有一个非常大的草坪，到那就休息了几分钟我的妈妈打了一个电话给我的舅舅，我舅舅说他已经出院了，听到这个我有些遗憾，走了这么长的路，脚都酸了。在草坪照我相后就去吃饭了，吃完饭后，我们就来到了麒麟山公园，到了大门我里面一看，好美啊，什么样的花都有。真是美不胜收啊，我还看见了好多的爬山虎，它的脚死死的贴在墙上，可牢固了。没有用力拔是不会掉下来的。大概走了快一半的路，看见了许多好玩的东西，有过山车，赛车等等。最后，是我梦寐已求的，就是动物园来到了大门，买完票就进去了。我首先看到的是海豹，孔雀，老虎，猴子等等，有好多好多的动物，真是数不胜数。我决绝的最好看的还是那可爱的猴子，在那里嬉戏，我看到了有的猴子给另一只猴子抓跳蚤还有就是我扔下一个瓶子，有一只猴子捡去后它不懂怎么开，它就想了一办法就是用咬，最后它还真的把瓶子咬开了，倒在地上，用舌头添干，我觉的十分有趣，看完猴子就来到了湖旁边看见了五颜六色的鲤鱼在水里游动着，成群的围绕在一起，在水中嬉戏。看完这些动物后我就有一些感受留在其中，真是一个美丽的风景区。我希望下次在来到这里，一定会比以前更加的美丽，会有更多有趣的事情在等着我呢？

我一定会永远记住这次难忘的旅游。如果还有机会我一定还会在来这美丽的麒麟山再次游玩。

那我四年级的事了。一个晨曦，我和表哥骑着自骑车来到了海边尽情呼吸着海边上那无比清鲜的空气。我偶然在沙滩上发现了一只只蟹爬在沙上也和我们一起分享阳光。我让表哥和我走过去看看。

Then Im in grade four. One morning, my cousin and I rode bike to the beach since you breathe the fresh air on the very beach. I happened to find a crab on the beach, climbing on the sand and sharing the sunshine with us. I asked my cousin to walk over with me.

We stared at the crabs. They didnt seem to notice us. They were swinging about with their sharp knives. Cousin told me that these crabs, they are doing morning exercises". Im amazed, my God! Since I went to college, I have made many friends and we shared the same interest. My friends and I liked traveling so much. We decided to travel abroad. The destination was Thailand. We spent ten days there and had a nice trip. It was such an unforgettable trip, and I learned a lot.

Firstly, it was my first time to travel abroad. My friends and I had made many preparations. We read the travel guide and chose the information that was useful to us. I classified the information and wrote down tourist sites. During the trip, I become much independent. Sometimes I even walked down the foreign street by myself, appreciating the beautiful scenery.

Secondly, I broadened my vision and enrich my mind. Before I came to Thailand, I needed to read some information, then I got to know this countrys culture and their tradition. When I was in Thailand, I could feel its religious belief. Whats more, there were so many foreigners here, and I talked to them happily.

Traveling is a good way to learn knowledge, and I know the importance of English. It is the key to know about the world.

I hope to go on a trip to Beijing,but my mother always tells me "you cant".She thinks I am too young to go to Beijing,and I am too busy at school.This term is over,To my surprise,my mother will take me to Beijing.I am very excited!Then I have a traveing plan for this trip:firstly I will go to the tiananmen square,I will take many pictures,then I am going to the palace museum,I can see many old builds there.secondly,I am goingto the wangfujing street,we will buy many things,for example,foods,clothes and some books.then I will go home. In recent years, thousands and thousands of people leave the comforts of their homes to study in countries such as united states,Canada,England and so on. Whats more, more and more people study abroad become younger. Why do they do it? The problem is worthy of serious consideration.

Everything has tow sides. Not only has the advantages but also has disadvantages, including studying abroad. On the one hand, the developed countries are more advanced in education, philosophy and teaching facilities, students can receive better education. On the other hand , different countries have different cultural .Contacting with with different people on their own is also a kind of exercise. People learn about the culture of other countries , they can improve their connotation of self–cultivation. Its benefical for us to develop in the future. But living and studying in another countries can also have its problem. On the one hand, if the students age is too small, its difficult for them to solve the problem of life. They bear a great pressure, not just the life pressure,but more of psychological pressure. Todays students lack of lief experience,live a long time in foreign country, the kind of homesickness and persistent loneliness, not everyone can handle! On the other hand,study abroad is expensive.A lot of families do not have this ability. Its difficult to adapt to the local customs and hard to commuication with other People. So I think that when students have a Strong physique, positive attitude and good ability to adapt, they can consider to study abroad.

As we know,There is denying that there are many advantages in study abroad . In my opinion.For some wealthy families, they can afford the expensive in foreign countries.Due to the rapid development of economy in recent years, more People study abroad has became an inevtable trend.

If I have the chance to go abroad to study, I want to go to USA. First of all.I Will learn the local language,so that i can solve the language barrier. Then, I Will choose the computer professional.I must be hardworking,because my goal is to get a masters degree. Then, IWill work for a few yeas after I graduate.It can help me to accumulate experience, and then,I Will go to the famous city Silicon Valley of America to apply for a technical staff. But I cant stay in a foreign countries all the time. In order to serve the motherland,i Will return to our ”Big House" when I become a good technical personnel. This morning, I take my first taste on seeking family education with a high heart-lever. In latest, I have summonned up my encourage to carry out this travel, and regulate myself that I will not do work at a payment lowing 20RMB per hour at least for self-thought that I am hold an impressive proficiency of English and an outstanding condition.

Dumpling is a traditional Chinese food.On the lunar New Year s Day,most

families make a lot of delicious dumplings.To make them,follow this easy

process.

The first step is to mix the flour with water.When the dough is ready,we

can begin to make dumpling wrappers.We use a rolling pole to roll the dough into

small,thin and round pieces so that they will be easy to cook.When the wrappers

are done,it s time to prepare the filling.Usually,we use meat such as beef or

mutton,and some vegetables such as cabbage or carrots for filling.You may

actually choose whatever you like to put into it.We must chop those things into

small pieces.Then put some salt,oil and other condiments into it and stir it

evenly.When all these preparations are done,we can start making dumplings.First

put a spoonful of filling in the center of the wrapper.Then stick the two

opposite sides together and then the rest.Don t just cover the filling with the

wrappers.The best shape of dumplings is that of a ship,because when they are

boiling in the pan,they look like ships sailing in the sea.The smell can make

your mouth water.

The main function of public libraries is to provide books for people to

read.In a library,there are books on different subjects,such as Chinese

history,fine art,science,English literature,and so on.There are also works fo

fiction.

The public libraries are crowded with people on weekdays as well as Sundays

because many people,especially students who want to consult reference books for

their school work,know that they could at least learn something there.

Besides reading in the library,we can also borrow books with library

cards.But books on loan had to be returned within a couple of weeks.As far as I

know the number of people who borrow books from public libraries is increasing

year after year.

I go to the City Hall library twice a month to read.

Shaoxing is the place where I have been to the deepest impression, why? 我去的最多地方就是杭州，每次去都觉得很好玩。夏天去可以西湖走走，宋城玩玩。

三月份去就可以去太子湾公园欣赏漂亮的樱花和绚烂的郁金香。

如果同学们想要获得很多知识，我建议大家可以去杭州科技馆，那儿有很多科学展示可以让我们自己动手去试。

绍兴是我去过的地方印象最深的，为什么呢?因为去绍兴的那天我首先逛的是绍兴医院，我发高烧了，还40度呢，要知道当时我才只有4岁呀，可把老爸老妈急坏了，直喊着后悔带我出来玩，后来老妈对我说：如果想游绍兴，到了明天我必须能退烧了。说也奇怪，为了能游我真的第二天退烧了，真是老天助我也。哈哈，其实也是医生阿姨的功劳!第二天我就好好的玩了一天，这件事情对老爸老妈来说他们一直后怕也一直觉得我好厉害。在绍兴我参观了鲁迅爷爷的故居，祖居，游了大禹陵，百草园，沈园等。

接下来我要说的好玩地方就是横店。那儿可真大呀，每个景区都得花个两三个小时。那儿可是很多电影、电视生产的地方，我看了很多的表演，在那儿我还第一次买了一件褀袍。

再说说咱们自己这儿吧，我们这儿有玉环公园，有农业观光园，我想这些地方可能同学们都去过了吧，我还有一个地方觉得也有意思，那就是老妈带我去芦浦看的油菜花和摘草莓吃。那天我也玩得非常开心。

这周的星期三，在这个阴云密布的早晨，进行了让人紧张而又难忘的英语期中考试。

早读课时，我认真地阅读着英语书，生怕漏掉了什么，使得没能考到好成绩，不过，当时并不是很紧张。就在这时，我听到了让老师领卷子的广播，心里默默地想：放松，放松，我可以考好的，为什么要紧张呢？虽然，我竭力地安慰着自己，可是紧张的感觉，却油然而生。突然，四（3）班的老师走了进来，原来，她就是我们这次的监考老师。开始放听力的录音了，声音震耳欲聋，有一道题目没能听清，结果就蒙了一个答案，心里暗暗地想：惨了，这个题目没听清，如果蒙的答案是错的，岂不是要拖累自己了？后面的笔试部分我觉得很简单，于是就没有认真检查。

第二天，报成绩时，我的心“扑通扑通”地跳着，脑神经简直绷到了极点。虽然得到了一个不错的成绩：98.5，但是那依然不是我心目中理想的成绩。果然，我没听清楚的那道听力题不出所料错了和一个单词少了复数形式的“S”。顿生悔意，如果我当时检查一遍或许就只会错一道题了。

这次考试，因为我粗心和对题目的轻视而犯下的错误，铭刻在我的脑海里，从今以后我不能再让自己重蹈覆辙，要认认真真地做好每一件事。

There is a saying that every family has its trouble. Indeed, no one can go

on well all the time. My parents have found the good way to educate us. Thus,

when there is conflict happening between the relatives, we obey the rules and

know what to do. My parents have set up many rules for me and my sister, which

works to solve problems. The first rule is to say thank you when we get help.

Such as when someone open the door for us, we also need to show gratitude. I

find people feel happy when I say thank you to them. The second rule is to never

get angry for more than two days. So when I have disputes with my sister, we

wont be mad at each other for long time. The family rules make me a better

person.
