Im just writing to let you know that were all well, and I hope you are, too. Unfortunately, Ive got some rather bad news for you: Im afraid I made a bit of a mess of Johns car. Anyway, heres what happened.

We were on our way to Carols after a long party, and I suppose it must have been about eleven o’clock. Well, the last few miles back home were really dark and deserted. I now realize I was probably going a bit too fast for a country lane because, although the road was fairly straight, I drove up onto the curb and went into a tree.

Of course, John was absolutely furious and started shouting at me and cursing. After we d argued for a few moments, we decided to look at the damage, and he calmed down a bit. Well, we found we could move the car, but the wing was caught on the wheel, so we couldnt drive it. I tried to pull the wing clear, but I didnt succeed.

Anyway, John went off to phone for a breakdown lorry, but while he was away, I had another go at the wing and this time succeeded in pulling it right off. I threw it onto the back seat, and by that time John got back and we were ready to go?so we didnt need the breakdown lorry at all. John has more or less forgiven me now, but he was very angry with me for a few days. I suppose I was a bit careless.

Well, thats all for now. Next time I write I hope Ill have better news for you.

3.在学校四周树立一些警告牌，让同学们看到那些警告牌，能主动改掉自己的不足，让每一个同学都做干净的人，也要让每一个同学互相监督对方，处理掉别人乱扔的垃圾。

Last Monday when I stepped into my classroom, my monitor told us that our

class teacher, Mr Sun, had passed away in a traffic accident. It seemed so

unbelievable because he used to give us lessons on Monday morning. I couldnt

accept the fact until the headmaster came to tell us the truth.

Mr Sun was a middle-aged teacher. He was full of sense of humour. We all

liked him very much because of his excellent teaching. His lessons were usually

very lively and interesting.We all liked to attend his class. He was an

experienced teacher.

Mr Sun will always live in our hearts!

I do not like teamwork in most time. Because I think it is hard for the

whole team to hold the same view. It is a waste of time to argue with each other

then make a compromise. But recently I have really seen the great power of

teamwork.

Last week we had a play competition. Because of some reasons, we had not

decided the play two days before the competition. Our monitor called the actors

and actresses who had been decided together. Then they think about every plot

together. To my surprise, it seemed that everybody had his or her good idea.

They gave up their weekend to practice the play. Finally our team won good marks

and were given the opportunity to participate in the final competition.

Teamwork is really powerful. No matter learning in school or working in the

future, we have to work in a team sometimes. So, try to establish the spirit of

teamwork. It will surely help you achieve success.

4.时时刻刻铭记着不要乱丢垃圾。

如果做到这些，我相信不久的将来，我们的学校就会变得更好，变得令人喜爱。

There was once a little boy that wanted to be an inventor. It was a very

big job, but it was almost his dream; and nobody ever questioned him about it.

It was spring, and the birds began chirping around the forest again. The boy was

glad that they were here, because he wanted to do some tests on them. When it

was finally the ending of what was going on, the boy went across the fields and

found out why the birds couldn’t speak, the most reasonable answer was: Because

those birds couldn’t speak, was first:Those birds have no tongue, and so they

couldn’t use their tongues to touch the places where they were supposed to. And

second they have no teeth.That was why the boy became a scientist after

that.

Everybody was very astonished to find out that a little boy who was only 5

years old to find out why a bird couldn’t speak. It was quite surprising for the

boy’s family too. They were all very, very, very proud of him. And there was

even a grand parade that day; and when this piece of news was reported,

everybody in the whole world knew all about it, maybe even China, or Hawaii; it

was really weird all of a sudden.

It was the time when the boy was to be a grownup; and it was also the time

when he was to find a job, because his inventor job had been canceled; for he

failed on one of the easiest tests in a contest.

Before what was repaired full of the training essays, somebody resigned the

exit sign to the elevator department, and was in big danger. The boy was the

only one that had figured out how to do this method. And so the manager called

him to repair this thing, and so he came here and finished his job; he was back

in business again.

Since the 63-year-old manager passed away, the boy became a manager. It was

a big duty that was on his honor, and when the time had arrived he hopped on the

scooter and drove out the balcony. It was quite an astonishing effect, but it

also proved of what the manager said actually the opposite of the single method

was the people pray.

After the most precious thing that had been used, it was the time for the

boy to return, but he yet never returned.

We often hear people say, “Never give up.” These can be encouraging words

and words of determination. A person who believes in them will keep trying to

reach his goal no matter how many times he fails. Benjamin Franklin once

said,”Great works are performed not by strength,but by perseverance.”From the

remark,we can infer that,of all the advantageous characteristics,perseverance

plays a crucial role in one’s success.

Remember that year, I bought a bike,but I cant ride a bike! Mom seems to

understand my thoughts, gently to me: "tomorrow Ill show you to your square,

teach you to ride a bicycle." "Good!" Im happy to reply.

The next morning, my mother and I went to the square. Mother let me push

this bike, and look for the feeling, I have to not boring to walk cycles.

Fifteen minutes passed, and my feet really acid! I want to back down. Well,

learn the bike how so difficult, it is better not learn! At this time, my mother

Today, I look out of the window, outside a snow-white, the original snow,

this is the first snow in this winter! My back bags, walking in the street, the

street of snow covered with footprints, big and small.The roadside small branch

has some snow, like a winter grandpa to saplings on a white coat! Winter grandpa

covered wheat with a thick layer of the quilt. Come to campus, Holly leaf, full

问题二：我校一向都把学生的健康放在第一位，但是我想我校可能把一个微不足道的问题给疏忽了，它就是——饮水问题。每当我们上完体育课时，饮水机前都会挤满人。可就在这时候，给了病菌一个好机会，某人可能在喝水时把本身的病菌透过水滴带到了喷嘴上，等下一个人喝水的时候就有可能被感染。我期望校园能在饮水机的喷嘴上装一个防水盖，不让病菌有机可乘。

I am a December 2003 graduate from the University of San Francisco (USF) with a bachelors degree in International Business. As part of my career planning, I am very interested in supplementing my international business education with a basic knowledge of the Chinese language. This I hope will help me enter into business commerce with business organizations partnering with Chinas economic development.

I already have information from BLCU and hope to study there for at least one full year starting with this summers program continuing through the fall and spring semester 2006. Can your office advise me if such scholarships might be available to me?

I have been studying Chinese for one year now. I am not sure what level I belong to. I was told that there will be an HSK test in our university in September. I am planning to attend the test. 在小升初时一直认为湘一芙蓉第二中学这所学校不好，可是到了这才发现和我想像中的截然相反，老师对学生十分负责，这一切都离不开您。
