今天，我们下午全校举行了一次难忘的圣诞节，回教室后，还举行了一次“圣诞餐会”!

下午二点左右，广播通知了我们圣诞节的活动开始了。随后我们兴高采烈地端着板凳，拿着贺卡下去了。

我们看到的第一家店铺里有很多的贺卡，这真是说贺卡，贺卡到啊!可是，这家店铺里面都是贺卡，让我们看的眼花缭乱，不知选什么好了。这位阿姨一眼就看出了我们的心思，她给我们拿了一些适合送给小孩的贺卡。然后，我和妈妈就一起挑了一张精美的贺卡，上面画着两只小兔子在嬉戏打闹。找我拿了贺卡，该找玩具了。玩具可就没那么好找了，我我和妈妈逛了好几个店铺都没找到，这时已经把我们累得气喘吁吁了。就在这时，我和妈妈忽然看见一家卖玩具的了。于是，我们匆忙走了过去。走到这个店铺面前，我一眼就看见了一个玻璃小球，玻璃小球里有两只漂亮的小熊猫，他们在吃竹子。有趣的是，只要你一摇这个球，球的里面就会有一些漂亮的彩从上面落下来。于是，我和妈妈便买了它。

回到家以后，我马上就跑到房间里，准备写祝福了，我不假思索地把我想的话写在了纸上，然后就睡觉了。

第二天，我早早地久来到了学校，把那张贺卡和玩具搁到了她的抽屉里，等待着她的到来。

过了一会儿，我看见她背书包气喘吁吁地走到了座位上。之后，她从她的抽屉里去除了那张贺卡和玩具。惊讶的表情从她脸上露了出来。然后，她感激地对我说：“谢谢你!”，顿时我的心里也美滋滋的。

到了我家，我拿出事先准备好的盒子，盒子上面有一个大大的圆洞洞，里面都是一张张的小纸条，我预先在小纸条写好字，折成小方块。我让萌萌自己抽取，她小心翼翼在把手伸进去，乱搅了起来，过了一会，她抽出一张，等到打开纸条后，她高兴得又蹦又跳。原来上面写的是“特等奖”。我看了看对奖单，咦，特等奖怎么会成了冰棍自动铅呢？我准备的明明是一个呼拉圈呀？要知道，萌萌一直想要一个呼拉圈呢。这个奖项就是专门为她准备的。这下怎么出错了呢？

哪出问题了，我百思不得其解，看来看去，我才发现纸条出现了问题。原来准备纸条的时候，我为了增加难度，总共做了十一个条：五个特等奖、三个一等奖、两个二等奖、一个三等奖，可现在奖项和奖品都写反了。萌萌抽到的是特等奖，而奖品却成了一等奖的奖品。

我希望萌萌得到她更想要的礼物，于是我对萌萌说：“萌萌，对不起，我把条写反了，我调整一下，你重新抽吧？”“好吧。”萌萌搓搓手，说：“圣诞老人给我一份大奖吧！”我一看就乐了，连忙把奖品改好了。她又抽了一张，打开一看，图案和刚才抽的一样。萌萌一撇嘴，说：“不会又是自动铅吧！”我神秘地一笑，一下子把兑奖单拿了出来，她一看，高兴地又跳又笑：“哈哈，呼拉圈！这是我最喜欢的圣诞礼物。”原来我把奖项对换了一下，这下她抽得了一个同样图案的，但礼物却是她盼望已久的呼拉圈。

Christmas tree, first seen in Germany, and then to Europe and the United States, with its graceful posture, become the indispensable Christmas decoration. There are many types of Christmas tree, the tree is full of decoration, but the top of the tree, there must be a big star symbolizes the three wise men following the star to find Jesus, only the head of the household can hang up the star of hope.

少了圣诞树，圣诞节就少了过节的气氛，关于圣诞树有多种不同的传说。

一个是说：大约十六世纪，德国人把长青的松柏枝拿到屋中去摆设，成为圣诞树。后来，德国人马丁路德把蜡烛放在树林中的枞树枝上，然后点燃蜡烛，看起来像是引导人们到伯利恒去，今日已改用粉色小灯泡。

还有一个传说记载，很久以前，有一位农民，在圣诞节遇到一个穷苦的小孩，他热情地接待了这个儿童。儿童临走时折下一根松枝插在地上，松枝立即变成一棵树，上面都挂满礼物，以答谢农民的好意。

圣诞树首先见于德国，后又传入欧洲和美国，以其优美的姿态，成为圣诞节不可缺少的装饰。圣诞树的种类繁多，树上满是装饰品，但树顶一定有颗大星星，象征三贤士跟随该星找到耶稣，只有一家之主才可以把希望之星挂上。

This was an English tradition which started centuries ago. On Christmas eve, plum porridge was served to the people. As years passed, various other things like dry fruits, honey and spices we’re used. Soon this porridge got replaced with the Christmas cake. In the earlier times, when Christians were persecuted, they were not allowed to practice prayers. Hence, a single candle used to be placed outside the house as a sign that Christian prayers were being conducted inside.

This is yet another age-old tradition of Christmas. A crib refers tothe Nativity Scene that is prepared using small statues. The first crib ever was made outside a church of St. Francis of Assisi f or children to show them how the Nativity scene was like. Since then, this tradition became very popular.

今天是12月25日，圣诞节。

一大早，我和爸爸、妈妈互相说：“merry chrismas!”爸爸说，西方国家的人过圣诞节就像我们中国人过春节那样热闹。妈妈立刻打开电脑查阅了“圣诞节”、“圣诞树”和“圣诞老人”的来历及传说。我觉得很好奇，也很有趣!

我拿出了几天前悄悄地做给爸爸、妈妈的心爱的礼物。爸爸高兴地连声说：“thank you! thank you!”还把我抱起来了呢!我开心极了!

下午，妈妈带我去漕运广场买圣诞树。那里的人真多呀!妈妈给我买了许多礼物，有会唱“jingle bell”的玩具圣诞老人，有传说中神奇的魔术棒……虽然妈妈没有给我买圣诞树，但是我已经很满足了。

回到家后，我把礼包打开，把圣诞老人放在地上，只见他边跑边唱“jingle bell，jingle bell……”我们都被逗乐了。爸爸提醒我说：“礼物要好好珍惜哦!”我说：“好，一定!”

今天，真是一个快乐的圣诞节!

Today is Christmas day

It was one of the last days before Christmas, and the as sistants in the large store had their hands full serving eager Christmas shoppers.

At one counter an old lady was choosing gloves red ones for her daugher in law, light blue ones for her niece, pink ones for her grand daughter, green ones for her sister and by the time she had found what she wanted, the counter was covered with pairs of all colors and sizes.

When the salesgirl had finally written out the bill and was about to turn to the next customer with a tired voice. "Thank you very much, madam," the old lady suddenly cried out, "Oh, I almost forgot..."——"Anything else, madam?" said the girl, "Yes," began the old lady, "Id like to buy another pair, but I m not quite sure about what exactly I should cloose. I wonder if you could help me." "Certainly, madam", was the girls reply. The old lady then went on to explain that what she was looking for was a pair of gloves for a girl of her age. She was not at ail sure what color to choose, and the design was a problem too.

The tired girl did her best to help the old lady make up her mind, showing her ail kinds of gloves.

At last the chosen pair of gloves were wrapped up and paid for as well, and as the girl was about to turn to the next customer, the old lady handed her a little parcel and said, "These now, dear, these are for you and thank you for being so patient. I do hope you have a merry Christmas !"

译文：圣诞节的一天

那是圣诞前的一天，在一所大商店里，售货员都忙着为那些渴望购物的顾客服务。

在一个柜台前，一位老太太在挑选手套：红色的是买给她儿媳的;淡蓝色的是买给她侄女的;粉红色的是买给她孙女的，绿色的是买给她妹妹的，等她将所有她要买的选好的时候，柜台上已放满了各种颜色、大小不一的手套。

最后女售货员开了发票，疲乏地说了声“非常感谢，太太”，正要转向下一个顾客时，老太太突然叫了起来，“哦，我差点忘了……”“还要别的什么 吗，太太?”女售货员问道。“是的，”老太太说了起来，“我想再买一双，不过我不知道该选什么样的。不知你能不能帮我选选。”售货员的回答是“当然可以， 太太。”老太太接着解释说，她要买的是一双像女售员这样年轻的姑娘戴的手套。她一点也不知该选什么颜色。再说，选什么式样也是个问题。

疲惫的女售货员尽力地帮她选好一双手套。

最后选好的手套被包了起来，也付了钱。当女售货员正要转向另一顾客时，老太太把一个小包裹递给她说：“亲爱的，这是给你的，谢谢你这么耐心。祝你圣诞快乐。”
