那时我才6岁，那年的暑假一开始，老妈就给我报了一个“暑假游泳培训班”。我非常高兴，心想：马上就可以学游泳了，oh ye!可是刚到游泳馆，看到那深深的水池，我却害怕得双腿发抖。虽然老妈和教练一直在鼓励我，可是我还是不敢下水，而且还差点哭了!在同学们怀疑的目光中，老妈只好对我说：“胡泰源，你不是说你很喜欢游泳的吗，怎么?难道还没下水就要放弃了?”我只好无奈地跳下泳池。没想到的是，我一下水，就抢了好几口水。呛水的滋味可真难受啊——鼻子发酸、喉咙堵得发慌。我痛苦的只想打退堂鼓了!但是我看到的却是老妈严厉的目光。老妈又说：“做什么事情都不能半途而废!这道理你已经清楚了!”于是我只好忍受着呛水的痛苦，跟着大家一次又一次地将头埋入水中，和教练苦练游泳的基本功••••••第一节课终于结束了。由于我表现突出，老师让我当了小班班长，我心里乐开了花。

在接下来的十五天里，经过我的努力刻苦的学习，我成了班上游泳最好的一个。老师和同学都夸奖我。我开心极了。

之后的日子里妈妈常带我去游泳。我发现游泳的花样很多，有蛙泳、有自由泳、有蝶泳、有仰泳、还有花样游泳。我只学了其中的蛙泳，但和其他的人交流中，我自学会了自由泳泳，蝶泳也会了一点点。虽然这不是专业的蝶泳和自由泳，但我很快乐，因为我发现自己的学习能力挺强的。尤其在游泳方面很有天分。呵呵。

在我游泳运动中，我发现游泳还有其他的一些好处!游泳可以使关节不易肌肉受伤，在游泳时水的作用使肢体血液易于回流心脏、使心率加快，长期游泳会使心脏运动性增大，收缩有力，游泳还能改善体温调节机能、预防感冒、强壮我们的身体、在必要的时候还可以自救。

游泳给我快乐，游泳给我信心，游泳给我强壮的身体，游泳给我说不完的好处。这就是我喜欢游泳的理由。
