Every year, Spring Festival makes me happy, because I can spend a long

holiday to stay with my families. On the New Year’s Eve, all the families got

together. We woke up early in the morning and then my mother started to purchase

some food to prepare the big dinner. I helped my mother to bring the food.

Before dinner, there was a tradition in my hometown. We needed to bring the

chicken to take a bow to our ancestors, showing our respect and gratitude. When

the dinner’s ready, we ate happily and talked a lot. Then at night, the families

pasted the New Year’s scrolls and decorated the house. What a harmonious

environment and we enjoyed the family hour. In the next few days, I visited a

lot of relatives. It was a good chance for us to communicate with each

other.

Spring Festivals Eve is the last night in the last month of lunar calendar next to Spring Festival Day，the First Day of New Year. Chuxi，the Chinese name of Spring Festivals Eve，means the old year past and we will greet the new by the turn of year. 晚上，开始吃年夜饭了。我们端坐在方桌上，各色各样的美食映入眼帘。逗得我“口水直流三千尺”。不过，再好的美食也不能冷却我看烟花的热情。

草草吃了年夜饭我就来到院子中点燃了“开门红”，只听一声声“轰轰”烟花好像一个个爱炫耀的孩子迫不及待的直冲云霄，展显自己炫丽的样子，在空中绽放，变成一朵朵娇艳的花儿，是那么五彩缤纷，紧接着一条条形态各异的烟花窜入天空，一会儿像孔雀开屏；一会儿像银蛇飞舞；一会儿像天女散花……整个天空霎时间变成了五彩的世界，鲜花的世界。随着舅舅放完了最后一个烟花，我们只好依依不舍地回到家中。

在我们这不管男女老少都要守岁，年长者守岁是为了“辞旧岁”，珍爱光阴；年轻人守岁是为父母能长寿，古往今来都是如此。我们仨也只能待到凌晨，这时我们又会开始放爆竹，这就是春节的开门红。接下来的几天我们小孩就会跟着大人走亲访友去拜年，最开心的是我们小孩还有红包。

正月十五元宵的到来又将春节推向另一个新高潮，家中的男女老小又会欢聚一堂围坐在饭桌上有说有笑吃着汤圆，寓意象征全家团团圆圆，和睦幸福。

一转间，热闹的春节又结束了，美好的时光总是这么短暂，我们又将步入学校，进行新一年的学习。

In china if you invite people for meal, the person who invited other people would pay for the meal but it’s not the way in Western country. In western country people will think you only invited me but it’s not your responsibility to pay for me.

I can afford it. They won’t be happy if you pay for them. People in China would always put dishes into customer’s plate to show their hospitality, but they will think it’s not healthy because your chopsticks have been used by you. In western country like America not England, people will always give tips to waiter after they finished meal in a restaurant.

If you don’t they will not be happy because tips are one of their major income. In china this only happen in some top restaurants and hotels in large international cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Western people will also think you are rude if you make sound during the meal. Western people do not hold their bowl up even when they have a bowl of soup.

The  new year, a new start, when I stand on the edge of a new year, I cant help thinking about my plan of next year.

Just as the old saying：“Well began is the half of the success.”So I decide that I should be at work while the others are still relaxing ，and then, at the beginning, Im quicker than the others and of course I will get better result than the others.

But, what I really decide to do is that I must make good of anytime I can spare though it seems impossible. While, I will do my best to live up with what I have planned, and the result will prove it.

At the weekend, I always spend a lot of time staying at the library.

我国的风俗文化丰富而又源远流长，是全国人民的骄傲。虽然我国有着共同的节日，但却有着截然不同的民俗传统。

在我的家乡有着很多和别的地方不一样的民俗传统。不管是从吃的还是其他的都有很大的区别。比如在元宵节或者春节的时候，我们不能说不吉利的话，如果说了便需要用纸巾擦嘴。也不能吵架打骂或者摔碎东西，万一这样的事情发生了，便需要将碎的东西收藏起来，口中同时要念岁岁平安。

正月初一子时新年开始，家家户户燃放鞭炮，称为“开正”，还要在门前备清茶、糖果，焚香，称为“拜正”。初一日人人早起，穿新衣服烧香点烛，祭拜天地祖先。小辈向长辈拜年，长辈随即赐以红包。

在“开正”的时候，家人都要吃点红糖线面汤。糖，意为甜蜜;线面，意为长寿，即祈求全家幸福长寿。

初一日不吃粥，以免往后出门遇雨;不往户外倒垃圾，忌“财气外泄”。此外还有不不讨债，不打骂孩子等禁忌。

The Spring Festival, is a childrens day, or the day of the adults visiting relatives and friends. Mom took me go club, hezekiah, spent a lot of good time with friends and family.

春节有很多让人高兴的事情。最让我高兴的就是我和弟弟去楼下放鞭炮。

记得大年三十的晚上，我们吃完团圆饭，我和弟弟像飞一样地跑了下去，到了小花园中，我就琢磨着怎样更好玩。终于，我们想出了一个好主意，弟弟用一根铁棒将土挖开，然后，我将一个点燃的“地雷”扔了进去，弟弟快速地把土埋上。然后，我们就躲到一棵大树后面，等我们还未完侍藏好，只听见后面“嘭!”的一声巨响，我和弟弟身上都有是泥，我们先是吓得一怔，然后被彼此的模样乐地“哈哈”大笑。就这样一次，两次，三次……，一直到我们手中的炮放完，而我们也变成“泥娃娃”了，才停下来。接着，我们又放了冲天炮，老鼠炮……。我们最喜欢的是老鼠炮，它飞出去的时候还“吱吱”地发出声响。就像是在说：“我要上天!我要上天?? 笨砂?痔云?

在新年的钟声就要敲响之际，黑暗的天空中开始到处燃放起了烟火，看那五彩缤纷的烟花在夜色中像一朵朵鲜花竞相绽放，我和弟弟都兴奋得在那里大喊大叫了起来……

春节，是孩子们玩的日子，还是大人们访亲探友的日子。妈妈带着我走东家、窜西家，与亲朋好友渡过了不少美好的时光。

春节，多么令人难忘啊!
