Perhaps few of the millions of dogs in the world may be so heroic, but they are still a source of genuine delight to their owners.

A dog fits easily into family life. It thrives on praise and affection. When a master tells a dog that it is good, the animal happily wags its tail. But when a master scolds a dog, it skulks away with a sheepish look and with its tail tucked between its legs.

In the past dogs have even been worshiped as gods. Recently, they have been used in drug research, medical experimentation, and space science. Dogs are trained as guard dogs in peacetime by the United States Army and other military services. My Pet

I have a pet. I named him Nicholas. Nicholas is a pure Husky dog. He was about 8 weeks when he first came to my home. We will have his birthday next week and he is turning 2 years old. On National Day last year,mom and I saw a dog on the roadside.It was thin and poor.It was looking at us for help.It was shaking in the wind.This made me heartached.I asked my mother if I could take it home?My mother said yes.We went home with the dog.We cleaned his body and fur.From then,it has been our family members.Sometimes I got angry at him,but he was running around me to jump.When my parents got home from work,he will go downstairs or stand in the doorway looking at them and meet them.He will use eyes to communicate with us.In the morning,my little alarm clock rang,he would chop my bedside,he didnt stop until I woke up.So I was never late.

在地球上，除了人类，还有什么呢?没错，还有动物。可几年下来，动物的数量逐渐下降。人类有没有把动物当朋友看呢?
