到宜兰山区，把布袋打开，发现满布袋都是血，血还继续从狼狗的嘴角溢出来。他把狗嘴拉开，发现狼狗的舌头断成两截。

原来，狼狗咬舌自尽了。

司机说，他把狼狗厚葬，时常去烧香祭拜，也难以消除内心的愧悔，所以他发愿，要常对养狗的人讲这个故事，劝大家要爱家中的狗，希望这可以消去他的一些罪业……
