Thank you for a rapid response to our invitation. Enclosed you will find an outline of events to take place during International Week here at the University of Montana. I will also list a number of possible speaking engagements so that you can choose those things in which you are most interested. As far as topics are concerned, the topics for classroom visits are generally determined by the professor, but most professors are very flexible. We have approximately thirty-five faculty members that teach courses in Asian Studies, ranging from language and culture to history and economics.

12 am - International Festival begins with a speech by the university president and an introduction of visiting dignitaries

1-5 pm - Opportunity to visit festival, interact with student performers, taste foods

6 pm - Dinner with Director of Mansfield Center Phil West, Ambassador Mark Johnson, and staff of Mansfield Center

That was the first time that I celebated Christmas Day. My friend aksed me

to take part in Christmas party. At the party we danced and celebrated with

carols. I knew some new friends. We exchanged gifts and said best wishes to each

Hello, my name is Tinna. I am a 12 year old girl from Zhejiang. Im at No.

1 primary school. I prefer dancing to singing. My dream is to be a dancer. My

favorite subject is English, because I have learned English and I can

I am happy .I have my own room . Look!This is my room.It’s small but

I often clean it .There are two big windows. On the windows，you can see some

A tree has three main parts, the roots, the branches and the leaves. Under

the ground, the roots spread out so that the tree can stand firm. Above the

ground, the roots form the trunk, and the trunk supports the branches.

Near the top of the tree, the trunk divides into branches. At the top of

the tree, the leaves grow out of the branches. the leaves receive sunlight to

help the whole tree grow.

My mother takes care of me all the time, I am very thankful for her

protection. But sometimes I feel like that I need to grow up and I want to do

the things by my own. My mother worries about me and she will ask me do as she

says. I think it is time to let go of me, I want to fly higher and be a great

My teacher is very strict, also is very nice. Because of the strict teacher, let we learned to strict with myself. Because of the teachers kindness, let us feel warm, let the knowledge we learned several not over.

My teacher looks very strict, but very kind at heart, she kind of eternity like waves, will not change. As bright as the sun, her eyes filled with wisdom, laugh very natural, very nice. I like reading books so much, especially the comic book. When I start

reading, I can’t focus my attention for a long time if the books are words

tennis is the national ball of China. Almost everyone in China, whether old or

young, can play it. The tables for playing it can be seen here and there, in

parks, squares and in many working places, even at some people’s homes. The

I’m a second year student of your university writing to tell you about my

humble opinions of the learning environment in our school.

Although we’re enjoying the modernized buildings equipped with advanced

computers sufficient lights and well-installed desks and chairs we do find it

hard for us to concentrate on study when we’re in the classrooms. For one thing

the annoying noise made by the vans and cars disturbs our studies. For another

the classrooms which are supposed to be used for self-study are unavailable for

they are usually occupied for meetings by various kinds of associations.

Faced with such a hard nut we should find ways to crack it. I suggest that

our school should construct some special lanes for the traffic and provide

associations with specific rooms to have their meetings in order to provide a

better learning environment for us.
