纳兰性德短促的一生，极具传奇色彩。一位养尊处优，生于豪门的青年公子，写出的作品却凄恻哀苦，身为一个在蒸蒸日上的统治集团中的一员，自己的成长道路也一帆风顺，而作品流露的思想感情却如此消极，一位满族皇室外戚能和自己年长近一倍的汉族遗民后代们结成忘年之交。在许多人看来不可思议的事情却如此和谐的交融在他的生命里。
