An old story goes that once there were four single men, leading very boring lives. None of them were married, or had lovers, or did anything exciting. They just sat around all day and played Mahjong.

One day they played Mahjong from 11 in the morning until 11 at night. During the game, no matter who won, the winning card was always the four columns card (the card shows four independent, parallel columns in two lines). Even more of a coincidence, it was Nov 11, or 11/11. In order to commemorate the day, they nicknamed it Singles Day.

Last qingming Festival,i return home to worship my grandfather.qingming Festival is a folk Festival.In the past,In the past, the qingming Festival was called "Arbor Day". But Today, Chinese visit their family graves to tend to any underbrush that has grown. Weeds are pulled, and dirt swept away, and the family will set out offerings of food and spirit money. Unlike the sacrifices at a familys home altar, the offerings at the tomb usually consist of dry, bland food. One theory is that since any number of ghosts rome around a grave area, the less appealing food will be consumed by the ancestors, and not be plundered by strangers.

With the passing of time, this celebration of life became a day to the honor past ancestors. Following folk religion, the Chinese believed that the spirits of deceased ancestors looked after the family. Sacrifices of food and spirit money could keep them happy, and the family would prosper through good harvests and more children.

I was born in Xiangtan,Huan.Its a beautiful place.I love it very much.

Now please let me tell you something about my hometown--Hunan Province.

Hunan Province is in the south of China,which covers an area of 211,800 square kilometers.The population is about 66 million and the capital city is Changsha.

There are many places of interest in Hunan,such as Zhangjiajie and Mount Heng.And a lot of famous persons were born here like Mao Zedong and Zeng Guofan.

Hunan is rich in natural resources.And it has made great achievements in economic development.

I love my hometown.And welcome to visit it!

Since last summer,I have written to my pen pal,Seda,who lives in Turkey.I became acquainted with her when I went to England for a study tour. We stayed with the same family,and she was my roommate and classmate as well.Sometimes we went to the movies together after dinner.Seda is very easy to get along with.I will always remember the two weeks I spent with her.We didnt forget each other and kept writing to each other after we returned home.Although I havent seen her again since I left England,I still know how she is through letters,cards and photographs.Seda tells me her secrets and also shares her happiness and sadness with me .Both of us hope that we will meet each other somewhere one day.
