The origination of my interest dates back to my senior high school year when I attended an intensive but interesting course given by the biological teacher on general biology. My interest was reinforced when I had the opportunity to participate in some research projects in the Central South University. In May, 2003, I began working with prof.Zhou to do research on microbial treatment processes for the nitrogen removal in wastewater. I participated in the separation method of nitrifier and denitrifier (chemolithoautotrophic bacteria, very small colony, grows slow, have the same color with the culture medium) and do some research on their Physiology characteristics.

I have been consciously strengthening my research ability by teaching myself advanced knowledge including microbial physiology, microbial statistics. Through these projects, I have not only learned many practical techniques but also acquired a solid theoretical background and a broad scope in scientific research in my fields of interest. Despite the intensive curriculum, I have always kept an eye on a broader world outside.

As a member of the CSU-Students Union, I’ve improved my communication and cooperation skills through some meaningful activities. It has become clear to me that a good academic environment can play a very important role in my pursuit of excellence. I believe pursuing a Master’s degree at CSU, would be a most reasonable extension of my academic pursuit and a major step forward toward my career goal.

The bright and dark sides of my university life

Every coin has two sides. On the one hand, I am quite satisfied with my university life. On the other hand, life in my university is not as satisfactory as what we had expected.

Here is the bright side of my university life: Firstly, Equipment of my university is advanced and teacher team is powerful. There is an advanced library that owns all kinds of books. What’s more, network of my university is very unstable. It is difficult to search

In my understanding, if we refer to an ideal college life as a formal western dinner, then a high GPA, that is, Grade Point Average, should be the main course, while an active part in

Those, however, are not what college life is all about. As we all know, college is wildly different from middle school. With the passing of time, this celebration of life became a day to the honor past ancestors. Following folk religion, the Chinese believed that the spirits of deceased ancestors looked after the family. Sacrifices of food and spirit money could keep them happy, and the family would prosper through good harvests and more children.

From a middle class family, I was born in Hsin Ying, Tainan on October 10th, 1965. My father is a civil official at Tainan City Government. My mother is a house wife good at cooking. Although I am the only child of my parents, I am by no mans a spoiled one.() On the contrary, I have been expected to be a successful man with advanced education. I study hard at school. Besides texts knowledge, journalism is my favorite; whenever reading, my heart is filled with great joy and interesting.

“Being good is must; successful, however, is plus.” Father adopts the idea of his father. Especially in military service, I realized it more precisely. People said: Military service makes a boy to man, I agree that.

I realized the importance of English and began to study diligently when I was eighteen. I did not start in my early age, but I hope that I could pass the test of General English Proficiency Test. And this is my best wish at the moment.

a new year ,a new start, when i stand on the edge of the a new year, i cant help thinking about my plan of next year. just as the old saying:well began is the half of the success.so i decide that i should be at work while the others are still relaxing ,and then ,at the beginning ,im quicker than the others and of course i will get better result than the others. but ,what i really decide to do is that i must make good of anytime i can spare though it seems impossible. while, i will do my best to live up with what i have planned, and the result will prove it.

大家好!我的名字叫XXX，汉族。我的个子不矮，但和班上的高个儿比起来，就逊色多了。和大多数同学一样，我今年也是18岁。我的缺点。主要是作事不麻利，自觉性不高，对自己的事不上心。上六年级的时候，学校就在我家对面。我却常常是七点半起床，要做半个多小时的准备才能出门，还经常迟到。因此同学们叫我“迟到大王”。现在，最起码六点多就要起床，才能有足够的时候吃饭、坐车等。这对我是个挑战。不过，我一定要借这个机会，改掉我不麻利的坏习惯。另外，自觉性不高，上课不免做些小动作、讲话。前几天大家都参加了军训，站着要一动也不动。我感到通过这次军训，我的自觉性有所提高。我也希望在以后的学习中改掉这个毛病。对自己的事不上心。我在当数学课代表时，有好几次本子忘发，作业没收齐，挨过老师不少责备。我也希望改掉它。我有决心改掉我的缺点和坏习惯。 我的优点：我和很多同学一样，也找不出我的优点。我和父母讨论之后得出：较有上进心，较乐观。至于我更多的优点，就靠大家的发掘了! 我的兴趣爱好。我比较喜欢游泳，踢足球，也对军事感兴趣。如果谁和我“志同道合”，就可以找我交个朋友。对未来初中生活的期望。我希望能在这4年里快乐地度过，能和同学们结下深厚的友谊，能从老师那里学到更多的知识和道理。 我希望大家能够了解我，喜欢我，也希望同学们能团结友爱地度过这4年。
