therefore it was decided that a day of thanksgiving to the Lord be fixed. Years

later, President of the United States proclaimed the fourth Thursday of November

as Thanksgiving Day every year. The celebration of Thanksgiving Day has been

observed on that date until today.

The pattern of the Thanksgiving celebration has never changed through the

years. The big family dinner is planned months ahead. On the dinner table,

people will find apples, oranges, chestnuts, walnuts and grapes.There will be

plum pudding, mince pie, other varieties of food and cranberry juice and squash.

The best and most attractive among them are roast turkey and pumpkin pie. They

have been the most traditional and favorite food on Thanksgiving Day throughout

the years.

and backgrounds join in to express their thanks for the year s bounty and

人人都赞成感恩节大餐必需以烤火鸡为主菜。火鸡在烘烤时要以面包作填料以吸收从中流出来的美味汁液，但烹饪技艺常因家庭和地区的不同而各异，应用什幺填料也就很难求得一致。今天的感恩节是一个不折不扣的国定假日。在这一天，具有各种信仰和各种背景的美国人，共同为他们一年来所受到的上苍的恩典表示感谢，虔诚地祈求上帝继续赐福。

我们邵武实验小学，是一所省级示范小学。历史悠久，建筑别致，风景优美。在邵武实小的每一个地方，每一个角落都流淌着书香气息。校园是美丽的，实小的老师则更加崇高又令人敬仰，因为他们的存在，我们长大了，我们进步了！老师们在用真心教育我们；在我们失败的时候鼓励我们；在我们伤心的时候安慰我们；在我们成功的时候为我们喝彩……一年级到五年级我认识了许多老师：兰老师，肖老师，黄老师，林老师和吴老师。他们每一位都是辛勤的园丁，而我们是刚破土而出的小苗。

老师们给我们许多信心，鼓励，希望。就讲那次校运会吧！上学期的运动会，我们班的同学都尽了自己的努力，但没有取得好成绩，落到了年级最后一名。同学们个个垂头丧气，低着头、哀伤着脸、有的还哭了，每个人都的样子都很憔悴。林老师看到这幅景象，他也非常难过，但他却把失败的情绪深深地埋在心里，微笑而又坚定的对我们说：“同学们！失败是成功之母。只要我们认真地吸取教训，刻苦训练，我们一定能够走向成功，并且拿到好成绩！”通过这件事我知道了：要对自己有信心，在困难中积聚力量，在黑暗中寻找光明，这样才能证明给支持我们的老师看，看我们长大了！感谢您——老师，您让我们成为自信的，能超越自己的人。你用事实向我们证明：学习并不是一种负担，而是一种快乐和责任，一把通向我们从未知道的天地的钥匙。您教会我们用自己的头脑和双手大胆探索，去寻找和发现，让生活充满惊喜！

August 7,2014 Friday Today, I did housework for grandmother. She is not

very healthy and I decide to do housework for her more frequently. And she will

feel happy and become better. Suddenly, an idea hit me that it’s terrible to

grow old becuase you have to worry about both your health and others’ opinions.

Once again, I make a decision to be a good girl.
