往前眺望，可以发现一座小岛，那是台湾最小的岛，以前称为“光复岛”，现在命名为“光华岛”，光华岛正好位于日潭与月潭的分界处。光华岛也称为“拉鲁岛”，住着高山族中人数最少的民族——邵族，但经过99年地震，地层严重下陷。

很快，我们便到了起点对面的玄光码头，上面有一座寺庙——玄光寺。只需要爬大约10分钟的山路，就能看见雕刻着“日月潭”三字和“玄光寺”的石头。站在上面从上往下俯视日月潭，显得是那么大，那么美。也能看见光华岛。这样看，右边就是日潭，左边就是月潭了。
