爷爷是一名高级工程师，曾在东北大学上过五年学，是专门设计机械的。爷爷今年已经七十多岁了，头发花白个子不高，但每天都精神焕发，神采奕奕的。爷爷身上的很多优点都很让我敬佩。

爷爷是个不服老的人，六十岁爷爷就退休了，退休以后爷爷突然要自己创业，建造了一个属于自己的输送机厂。一开始家人都不同意爷爷的想法，但是爷爷是个很执着的人，家人没办法只好答应了。爷爷便开始租厂房、招聘工人、外出联系业务。白天爷爷在外到处奔波联系业务，晚上又在写字台上铺开大纸，手拿铅笔直尺圆规开始画图，一画就是几个小时。经过几年的努力，凭着爷爷那不服老不服输的精神，爷爷的厂已经很成功了。我和我的家人都非常佩服我的爷爷。

我的爷爷还是一个很时尚的老人。前几年家家户户都买电脑，爷爷也不甘落后地买了一台不错的电脑。爷爷从不会开机、关机到现在已经能用电脑聊天、下棋、画图了。

我爷爷是一个不服老、不服输、执着的人，更是一个永远值得我敬佩的人。

篇五：我最敬佩的一个人——丁爷爷

我尊敬的人是丁爷爷，丁爷爷有着拾金不昧的品质。

丁爷爷的儿子和媳妇在一次车祸中去世了，为了让小孙子读书，为了能吃上香喷喷的饭，丁爷爷当上了清洁工。

一天，我去上学，我看见丁爷爷在一下一下的扫马路。只见他穿了件已破了很多洞的背心，头上戴着一个别人早已不要的斗笠，肩上挂了一块毛巾，豆大的汗珠从他的脸上滚下来。

正在这时，一位小伙子骑着车直向这儿奔来，我连忙大声喊：“丁爷爷，危险！”丁爷爷意识到了，他往后一退，车就从丁爷爷的身边闪过，丁爷爷虽然没有被车撞到，但被后面的石头给绊倒了。从骑车人身上掉下来一个小黑包。

人们马上过去扶起了丁爷爷，只见丁爷爷头上流了很多血，有人大骂那个骑车人不讲道德，人们把小黑包打开一看，里面竟有好几千块钱，有人说这钱不能还给骑车人，竟然把人伤成这样。

放学后，我听见了鞭炮声，奶奶告诉我，丁爷爷把钱还给了那个骑车人。

丁爷爷不仅拾金不昧，还乐于助人。

那于，我们村的广播里传出“某某家里被大火给烧了。希望大家有钱捐钱，有物捐物。”丁爷爷二话没说，马上给那人捐了100块。有人笑他说：“自已都是穷光蛋，还给别人钱，真是天大的笑话。”丁爷爷说：“我现在至少比那人要宽裕一点，我家没有被大火烧光，所以我给他捐去100元，虽然不多，但也是我的一番心意。”

丁爷爷是我最敬佩的人。

There is no doubt that we all want to be successful. But what’s the main

concern of the way to success? From Abraham Lincoln’s famous remark, “Give me

six hours to chop down a tree, and I will spend the first four sharpening the

axe”, I learn that if we want to achieve success, we must make full preparation

for it.

Only if we are well prepared, can we catch the opportunity which occurs

once in a while. In our daily life, we have to expand our horizon and lay a

solid foundation for success. It will be a long way to be successful thus we

have to accumulate our knowledge day by day. And we can’t achieve success in one

or two days. It will help us solve problems more efficiently if we have a broad

horizon. What’s more, opportunities always occur out of our expectation so we

have to make ourselves well prepared. If we prepared, we will catch up with it

whenever it comes up.

Opportunities give priorities to the people who make preparation for them.

What’s more, success goes along with opportunities. We should develop the

ability to solve problems in different and efficient ways therefore we can make

our way to success more easily.

This summer holiday, I had travelled to Hong Kong with many other students. We went to Hong Kong by plane. Hong Kong is very small, but there are many people living there.

In Hong Kong, all of the buildings are very tall. There are lots of shops there and you can go shopping until about 11:00 at night. In Hong Kong, things are very expensive, so we only bought a few souvenirs.

We went to lots of places, such as the Avenue of Stars and Ocean Park. I like Ocean Park best. The park is very big. Sitting in the cable car, you can see two hills, lots of different flowers and the sea. Some students were afraid of sitting in the cable car!

We stayed in the Shu Ren College. There are many big trees around it. We had meals in the restaurants, but I didnt like the food.

Hong Kong is very beautiful. I like Hong Kong and I hope to go there again some day.
