Spring Festival is one of the most important traditional festivals in our

country. There are many customs, such as picking up the God of wealth, stepping

on the new year, setting off firecrackers and so on. Well, lets choose one to

talk about! Lets set off firecrackers!

The starting point of setting off firecrackers is the same as that of

lighting up lights. But the lights only have light, but no sound. Light can ward

off evil spirits, and sound can ward off evil spirits. It is said that the

setting off of firecrackers was related to Jiang Ziya. It is said that Jiang

Ziya helped King Wu of Zhou exterminate King Zhou of Shang Dynasty and went to

Ms jerry is a foreign teacher. she oomes from new zealand. she is thirty-one years old. she has fair hair, white skin and gray eyes. she is tall and slim. she looks very kind. and in fact, she is kind indeed.

Ms jerry is a good teacher. although she only comes to our school twice a week, yet she is very responsible to her work and strict with her students. once. she was ill, but she went on giving us lessons. when we learned this, we all listened to her even more attentively than usual.

Ms jerry teaches us english with great enthusiasm:" eaoh lesson she will bring us new pictures, new stories, new games and new songs. her class is always full of happy laughter and merry songs.

Ms jerry is such a good teacher that all of us love and respect her.

Dear teacher ,

I am writing to you to express my thanks for your help in learning English and speaking English.

During these days in your class, I have learned much from you and it is very helpful to me. Firstly, you let me know what is the west thinking pattern—straight thinking pattern. And, I think, it is very important to understand the west’s thoughts. As you know, this can help me with my examination and interaction with foreigners. Secondly, I have got enough confidence in speaking in English from your class and it took me a long time to gain this confidence. Now, I always express my ideas in English as possible as I can. It’s great to do that. The last not the least, I find that learning English is not an boring thing as before and I’m interested in studying English which was just a necessary task to pass examinations. Reading, listening or speaking all become interesting and I really enjoy it.
