四年级时，我们换了一位新的英语老师。英语老师姓肖，才二十多岁，是我见过的最年轻的老师，她给我的帮助非常大。

老师的名字非常有意思，叫青青。还别说，她还真是像年纪轻轻来学校实习的大学生呢！肖老师个子矮矮，我都快比她高了，戴着一副小眼镜，梳着马尾辫，看起来就给人留下很好的印象。

肖老师很活跃，我们放学，她就约几个老师打毽球或羽毛球。她很少生气，这就是为什么我喜欢她的原因。肖老师会讲一口流利的英语，我与她比赛背课文，总是她略胜我一筹。

肖老师教学十分有方。不管什么句子和单词，她统统让我们来解释，还说“好记性不如烂笔头”，让我们培养做笔记的好习惯。她上课采用加分模式，提高我们学习的积极性，这也是我喜欢她的原因之一。

老师对我的帮助很大很大。我是班上英语较好的人，她深知我的潜力，但也知道我的语音语调并不好，她在我背课文时认真地听着，并教我每一句的抑扬顿挫，使我的会话得到显著的提高。我在学习中不会的单词，总是她帮助我，让我的单词储备量日益增多。

how time flies! it is ahnost a month since i arrived here and began a new

life as a university student. but all this time, i have been missing you and my

dear school. i just can not tell you how grateful i am to you for the help you

gave me during my preparation for the university entrance examination. now i

will tell you something about my university and life here.

our university lies at the foot of mount zijin, in the eastern suburbs of

nanjing city. the campus is very big,with a big sportsground surrounded by lots

of modern classroom buildings. what have impressed me most are the big library

and the well-equipped language lab. our campus is also very beautiful. there are

quite a few well-kept gardens. every road is lined with trees. how happy we are

to study in such an enviromnent!

life here is both busy and coloufful. we have classes every morning. in the

afternoon, we either work in the laboratory or do assignments in the classroom.

in the evening, we can go to talks or do reading in the library. this keeps us

occupied most of the week. but on weekends, there are always many

entertainments. we may go to the club to have a dance or go to the cinema to see

a fihn. sometimes we may also hold a party to practise oral english. in a word,

we like our life here very much.

are you still teaching one of the senior classes? i really think that the

students in your class are lucky for they will certainly benefit greatly under

your instruction. but take care not to overwork yourself. i do hope you will

In my life I have met many people who are really worth mentioning.But perhaps the most unforgettable person I have ever known is my English Teacher.
