When a young man called, I warned him that Minnie was unfamiliar. The boy on the phone told me that his grandfathers sixteen year old dog had just died. They want Minnie to do whatever it is. I gave a nice bathtub and Minnie what was her dishevelled hair. And then we waited for them to come.

At last, the old car was in front of the veterinarian. The two children ran to the door. They took their weapon, Minnie, and rushed her out to their grandfather, who was waiting in the car. I hurried behind them to see his reaction, minnie.

In the car, grandfather held Minnie in her arms and stroked her soft hair. She licked his face. She rocking around so fast that it looks like it might fly her body. This is the first lick of love.

I was glad to find a good Minnie family, and she deserved it.

In the past, there have been many endangered animals. Now they are extinct. Does it matter? Has our environment been affected by their absence? Has the quality of our own life been changed? The answer to these questions is "Yes."

Yes. It does matter if we destroy an endangered species habitat to develop more farmland, housing or industrial parks. There is a delicate balance of nature. If one small part is removed, it will effect all the other parts. For example, if certain trees are cut down, bats will have no place to roost. If they cannot roost, they cannot breed. If there are no bats, there will be no animal, or bird to eat certain insects that plague our crops.

Yes. Our environment has been affected by the absence of certain animals. Certain flowers are pollinated by butterflies, which migrate from Canada to Mexico. Some of the breeding grounds of these butterflies were destroyed. Now these flowers are disappearing from certain areas. We will no longer be able to enjoy their beauty.

Yes. The quality of our life has been changed America used to be covered with giant trees. Now we have to visit them in one small park. Rain forests around the world are being cut down to make room for humans. We will never be able to see or study this fragile ecosystem.

I would encourage us humans to look for other alternatives for our farmlands, housing, and industries. We have alternatives; the animals do not.

Peer pressure means the influence given by a group of people around you,

such as, parents, friends, classmates, teachers and so on. Their influence will

affect your attitude, behavior, conception or decision. As every side has two

sides, this influence also has two sides. Let me explain my reasons.

For one thing, influence of peer pressure has positive effect. It depends

on the specific thing. Sometimes, the influence of pressure will promote me get

progress. For instance, my deskmate does well in one math exam, while I fall far

behind her. As we are deskmates, i can’t let others look down on me. So i will

take her as my good example to fight. And then next time, I can get a good mark

by my effort. Take my parents as another example, they like clean. They don’t

have the habit to throw rubbish at will. I won’t have this habit either living

with them.

For another, influence of peer pressure has negative effect. Sometimes the

influence will be bad. For example, if my friends ask me to skip class to watch

a basketball match with them, i go with them, even i don’t have that thought

before. And one of my friends has gone through a lot, he always try to convince

me that money is very important. As time passes, i may change my conception.

In summary, the influence of peer pressure has positive and negative sides.

We have to advocate the good side and avoid the negative. We have to be clear

about what is right and what is wrong and firm our position.

Dont you see the heavy smokes from the big chimneys? Dont you smell the gas from the motors all around the streets? Weve got much dirtier air! The iceburgs are melting from the warmer winter because of the air pollution!
