Last month we had a sports meeting. Though the weather wasnt very fine that day, the students were all very excited and the whole school was alive.

This time, I was even more excited. Because I went in for the sports meeting and my item was high jump. I didnt want to get any place, I only wanted to enjoy the game because I knew I wasnt good at sports.

When I got to the field with my friend. I was both excited and nervous. When I saw the first height, my heart could hardly heat. How high it was! It was higher than our desks. I couldnt believe my eyes. This was too high for me to jump over. I wasnt nervous at that timewhile I was a bit afraid. But I had gone there, I must have a try.

Not long after, the game began. The first person was great. He jumped over easily. I was too surprised to say a word. The second was good, too. The third nearly jumped over, but he wasnt bad…

8月1号对我来说是一个重要的日子，因为我要去万达广场参加全国的轮滑比赛。

在路上，爸爸怕我太紧张，就给我讲了几个故事。可是，我依旧很紧张，害怕自己没有拿到理想的名次。

比赛快开始了，我和我的队友，一起来到比赛门口检录。进入赛场后，我心里越来越紧张。可是当抽卡片决定跑道的时候，我心里轻松了一些，因为我的运气真好，抽到了我认为的最好的一条跑道。

当我来到赛场的跑道上时，先深吸了两口气，慢慢地摆好姿势。只听裁判一吹口哨，我就用力往后一蹬，很快冲到了前面，我压住那一道，奋力地向前冲。哈哈，我是第一个冲到了终点，太好了!

可是正在我高兴的时候，爸爸告诉我规则可不是这样的，得看谁跑完刚才几圈用的时间最短。唉，我发现自己冲到第一的时候，就减慢了一些速度，完了，我可能拿不到理想的名次了。

不过，幸运的是我报了两场比赛，这才是第1场，所以第2场比赛我还有机会。

下午到了，第2场比赛也开始了。我摆好姿势，等着裁判一吹口哨，就迅速地蹬起了后腿，拼尽全力往前冲，再往前冲!

比赛结束后，我发现我自己取得了第7名的好成绩。真是太棒啦!

学校举办了《永远的丰碑》演讲比赛，由我们班打头。我们一边练习演讲，一边盼望着比赛快点到来。今天早上，我们几个人就要上台演讲了，我心里却非常紧张，像打鼓一样。同班的好朋友钟雪霞告诉我：“不要紧张，要对自己充满信心，这样才能取得优秀成绩。”听了钟雪霞讲的话，我心里平静多了。

到了比赛的时间，我鼓起勇气，大胆地走上台去，演讲的内容是《丰碑》，我都背得滚瓜烂熟了。看到台下黑压压的一片人头，我的心跳又加快了，像要跳出来似的。我想起了钟雪霞告诉我的话——“不要紧张”，紧张的心又平静了下来，我勇敢地看着大家，有感情地朗读完了整篇稿子，没有打绊子，说到军需处长被冻僵时，我心里很难受，有点想掉眼泪，我很敬佩他，我忘了自己是在比赛。

在大家暴风雨一样的掌声中，我回到了班上，心仍然在剧烈地跳着，我用手按着它，怕它会跳出来，因为我太激动了。我很感谢钟雪霞对我的鼓励，是她教我做什么事都要对自己充满信心。有了那一次演讲比赛的经历，现在无论遇到什么比赛，我都不会紧张了，因为我对自己充满了信心!

今天早上，妈妈带着我赶往了英语风采大赛的比赛处。

Iwas happy on tuesday because i went to chimelong paradise with my classmates and teachers. There were 8 groups in my class and 5 people in each group. We enjoyed ourselves.

First, we went there by bus.It took an hour to get there and once we were there we took pictures in front of the gate of chimelong paradise.The pictures were very beautiful. Then we went inside. First. my group went to the screaming zone. We rode the 10-inversion roller coaster. We were excited when we rode it. When the ride was over we were stiff and drank some drinks to relax. Then we went to the 4d theater and watched an exciting movie.Then we went to the drift which i thought was boring . We went to the torrent quickly after that. We were high when we rode it and decided to ride it again.

At this time we were so hungry and we looked for a restaurant to have lunch. we ordered 4 taiwan noodles and a guangzhou noodles. They were very tasty. After that, we were full of energy.We rode the small roller coaster. we were also happy to ride it. Then we rode the bumper cars. that was interesting. we rode again and again. We had a nice time.

An hour later it was 3 oclock. We went to the frog jumps. We scared when we saw it but i rode it with a bold friend. We were afraid to ride it.

At last, i went to the cake shop to buy cakes then we went back to the bus. The bus took us back to the school . We were tired in the bus. but we had a good time today.

Ever since then, the goals of World Expos have been both high-minded as well as commercial. Visitors are able to explore the world outside of their everyday experience—outside cultures, new scientific advancements, and new inventions. World Expos have excited and inspired more and more people in the world

On December3, 2002, the Bureau of International Expositions (or call it BIE) announced that Shanghai will host Expo2010. the BIE had received bids from five cities to host Expo2010. Among the 5 nice cities, the BIE chose Shanghai at last! It’s really an exciting news for not only Shanghainese, but also all of Chinese people. Here are some details about it.

And the theme is “better city., better life”。OK, let’s guess who is the image representative? Yeah, you’re right, Yao Ming!

Shanghai Expo is the first comprehensive World Expo held in a developing country. And it is also the first one that takes “the city” as its theme, hoping that it can push forward the city development and help bring about a better urban living environment, just like the theme: better city, better life.

I think, as a student in Shanghai, we should learn to be a gentle person and keep good manners from now on. And try to practice English more in order to communicate with foreigners fluently in the near future. Because, we’re a part of Shanghai!

气球比赛

“啪啪，啪啪……”教室里传来奇怪的声音，怎么回事？哦！原来是举行了挤气球比赛。

老师说了比赛规则，“两人或几人比赛，每位选手腋下各夹一个吹大的气球，不许用手，只要把气球挤破即可。先把气球挤破的一方获胜。”老师刚说完，教室里像是炸开了锅，同学们欢呼雀跃，有的同学摩拳擦掌跃跃欲试。

比赛开始了，先上场的是两位男同学。老师一声令下：“开始！”一位同学为防止气球掉下，就弓着腰，叉着腿，像一只搞笑的小鸭子；另一位同学使出了九牛二虎之力，可气球完好无损。这位同学的气球像个顽皮的小孩子，掉了下来，那位同学急得像热锅上的蚂蚁。同学们笑得前腑后仰，上气不接下气。我们开始给他们支招，有的说“在地上打滚”，有的说“向墙上顶”。声音一浪高过一浪，只听到“啪啪”的一声巨响，气球变得四分五裂，有的同学吓得双手抱头，蹲了下去。

该我上场了，心激动地“砰砰”直跳。我使出吃奶的劲，气球一点儿也没给我留面子，一直不爆。我看见墙上有钉，灵机一动，夹着气球向钉子上撞，“啪”的一声，气球爆了。我得了冠军，高兴地回到座位上。

今天的挤气球比赛真是太有趣了，我还想再玩一次。
