My school is very beautiful. It is in Guicheng, near the Qiandeng Lake. Do you know it? It is Nanhai Experimental Primary School. I like my school very much.

There is a big playground in my school. We have P.E. class on the playground and we often play sports on it , too. Our teaching building has five floors. My classroom is on the fifth floor. Every Tuesday and Friday evening sees Miss Li， my neighbor and a secretary in a company rush home after a hard days work， gulp down her meals and then hurry out to catch the bus for her English class. Miss Lis case is not unique， and now more and more city adults spend their leisure time trying to improve themselves at school or college.

There are a number of reasons for people to go back for their education. Some people， like Miss Li， are doing it to acquire another degree or diploma to impress the society. To them more knowledge， or rather， more credentials means more opportunities for better jobs and quicker promotion.

Other people， especially those who are laid off or out of employment go to vocational school to prepare to return to the job market. They are eager for new skills so that they can be qualified for the jobs in retail trade， administration， education and other service categories to which they are strange because most of them were blue-collar workers in the factory.

There are also people who come to take such courses as Chinese traditional medicine， painting， calligraphy and photography. As their working weeks decline people begin to have time to fulfill their old dream of their hearts desire.

There is a library in our school. It is open from eight oclock in the morning till half past five in the afternoon. We often go there to borrow books.

We can borrow five books at a time and keep them for two weeks. If we cant finish reading them in two weeks, we can go and renew them. The librarian is always ready to help the students. March 12th is Tree Planting Day. This year our school bought enough trees before that day. On that day, we didn‘t had classes. The teachers and our classmates planted trees around our school.

We began to planted trees as soon as we got to school. some students dug the holes. Some students put the trees into the holes.

Some students put the earth back to the holes. Then we pushed the earth hard with our feet. At last we watered the trees as much as possible.

From then on we looked after the trees carefully and the trees grew very well. It made our shcool more beautiful .And How happy we are!

On My Friend

When I first went to university,I was very nervous because I didnt know any one there.Sam,my classmate, soon changed all that.He was the first one to talk to me on my first day in school and I was grateful for his friendliness.

We soon became good friends after we discovered that we had a lot in common.For example,we both like literature.He soon became the editor of the school magazine while I am a regular contributor to the articles there.

Moreover,Sam is extremely helpful.Whenever I need something or just someone to talk to,Sam is always there.He lends me money without so much as mentioning when I am supposed to return it(but of course I always return the money).Besides,he is a great listener.I feel as if I could pour out my whole heart to him.While offering a sympathetic ear,he also makes constructive suggestions.

I am grateful for our friendship.Without Sam,my university would have been a lot more chaotic and confusing.

星期六上午，春光明媚。在中环百货门前广场上，我参加了由河南省轮滑协会主办的全省青少年轮滑大赛的300米速滑项目。

首先是参加比赛的一个大姐姐宣誓，接着是裁判员叔叔宣誓，接下来紧张的比赛就开始了。上午进行的是初赛，每组的前两名参加下午的复赛。第一组是年龄大一些的哥哥姐姐比赛，他们都是专业轮滑水平，看!他们的姿势多酷!

不过有一个小姐姐跑了一圈就退出比赛了，听妈妈说，她的妈妈鼓励她继续跑，可她说腿太累了，那个阿姨不停的给她讲，还一直都是笑着和她女儿说话，场面特别感人，后来那个小姐姐还说“没有机会了”挺可惜的!不过我想今后她一定会经常锻炼的。

我们那一组比赛开始了，当时爸爸只顾看我比赛，却忘了比赛中间给我拍照。这一张是我参加比赛准备起跑时的照片，动作还可以吧?哈哈!

我和其他三个小朋友你追我赶，很快滑完了300米的比赛。可惜我只取得了第三名，不能参加复赛了。不过程海老师鼓励我说今天来的目的是让同学们开开眼界，长长见识，名次不重要，以后还有机会，但我还是觉得有点遗憾!
