很荣幸有这样一个机会在这里演讲，今天我演讲的题目是:“No imagination no

invention”。众所周知，想象力是发明创造的动力，许多发明都是由想象的闪现开始的。

毫无疑问的说，如果没有想象，如此多优秀的发明就没有出现的可能。列宁说过：想象是极其可贵的品质，设想一下，如果没有想象，世界将会怎样，也许只会是一片灰色。拥有想象力是人类强于其他动物的根本原因。没有想象力的人类将不会有任何的发展与进步。爱因斯坦之所能发现相对论，就是因为他的童真的想象力。乔布斯创造了苹果，也来源于他的简约理念和脱俗的想象力。

但是，现如今，人们渐渐失去了想象力，或者说人们的想象力在不断被扼杀，应试教育下，只有标准答案才是正确的，偏离答案就是错的，这使分数成了主导因素，学生不得不放弃自己的想象，开始死记硬背，试问要想实现中国梦和实现民族复兴，没有想象力行么?

如果人们停止了幻想，那么这就是人类衰落的真正征兆。想象力是创造发明的基础。有了大胆的创想，科学才不断发展，有了丰富的想象，时代才不断前进。我们应该保护孩子们的想象力，发挥他们的创造性。为中国梦的实现创造可能。

Ji Anlived at the time of Emperor Wudi of the Western Han Dynasty (206 B.C.-A.D.24). He was respected for being upright and just and for daring to speak the truth. Once,Emperor Wudi said that he would implement the policy of benevolence and justice of Confucianism and would do good turns to the people.Emperor Wudi Had hardly finished his remards when Ji An said that there was no need for the emperor to say so.Why should the emperor bother,Ji An said, about pretending to implement the policy of benevolence and justice since he was so greedy and avaricious within himself? This choked the emperor off. The emperor suddenly Changed his countenance and declared the meeting over. All the civilian and military officers at court were breathless with anxiety for fear that Ji An might bring disaster upon himself because of this. After returning, Emperor Wudi said to the people around him that Ji An was a little too rude and too straightforward.

For this reason ,Ji An was never promoted again. When he was the commander in charge of the appointment and dismissal of the local officials, both Gongsun Hong and Zhang Tang were low -ranking lfficials of little importance. Later ,they were promoted continuously. Gongsun Hong became the prime minister and Zhang Tang became the imperial censor. However, JiAns post remained thesame. One day, Ji An said to Emperor Wudi that the way the emperor used his ministers was just like piling up firewood, which meant that the latecomers surpassed the old-timers. Of course, Emperor Wudi could see that Ji An was complaining. So,turning to his ministers, Emperor Wudi said, "It is true that no one can stop learning.You see, Ji An is making more and more indiscreet remarks."

This story comes from The Historical Records. Later generations use the set phrase "the latecomers surpass the old-timers " to indicate that successors can cxcel the predecessors, which is quite different from the original idea when Ji An said that the latecomers surpassed the old-timers.

有一次，汉武帝说要实行儒家的仁义之政，为老百姓办好事了。没等皇帝把话说完，汲黯就说：“陛下内心里那么贪婪多欲，表面上却要装得实行仁政，这是何苦呢？”一句话把皇帝噎了回去。汉武帝登时脸色大变，宣布罢朝，满朝文武都为汲黯捏着一把汗，担心他会因此招来大祸。武帝回到宫里以后，对身边的人说，汲黯这个人也未免太粗太直了。

从此以后，汲黯的官职再也没有提升。他当主爵都尉的时候，公孙弘、张汤都还是不起眼的小官，后来，他们一个劲儿住上升，公孙弘当上了丞相，张汤做上了御史大夫，可他汲黯还蹲在原地没动窝。有一天，汲黯对武帝说，陛下使用群臣，跟码劈柴一样，是“后来者居上”啊！汉武帝当然听得出这是发牢骚。于是，转脸对臣下们说：“人真是不能不学习啊！你们听汲黯说话，越来越离谱了！”

故事出自《史记汲郑列传》。成语“后来居上”，往往指后起的可以胜过先前的。和汲黯说这话的原意，大不相同。

苏秦是东周洛阳人。他到东方的齐国去求学，拜在鬼谷先生的门下。学有所成后又四处游说数年，结果没有捞到一官半职，灰溜溜地回到家里。他的哥哥、弟弟、嫂嫂、妹妹以及妻子、侍妾都在背后嘲笑他，说：“周国人的习俗，人们都治理产业，努力从事工商，追求那十分之二的盈利为事业。如今您丢掉本行而去干耍嘴皮子的事，穷困潦倒，不也应该嘛!”

苏秦听了这些话，暗自惭愧、伤感，就闭门不出，把自己的藏书全部阅读了一遍。说：“一个读书人既然已经从师受教，埋头读书，可又不能凭借它获得荣华富贵，即使读书再多，又有什么用呢?”于是找到一本周书《阴符》，伏案而钻研它。下了一整年的功夫，悉求真缔，找到与国君相合的门道，激动地说：“就凭这些足可以游说当代的国君了。”

苏秦首先去游说周显王。周显王手下那一班大臣平时都很熟悉、了解苏秦，很看不起他，根本不相信他说的那一套。苏秦转而向东到赵国。此时赵肃侯的弟弟奉阳君赵成为相，赵成不喜欢苏秦，既不用他的计谋，也不给他一官半职。苏秦便离开赵国来到燕国。在燕国住了一年多，苏秦才受到燕文侯的接见。他劝燕文侯与赵国合纵相亲，把各国联成一体。

文侯说：“您说的当然不错，可是我的国家弱小，西边又紧靠着强大的赵国，南边接近齐周，齐、赵都是强国啊。您一定要用合纵相亲的办法使燕国安全无事，我愿倾国相从。”

于是燕文侯为苏秦备好全套车马，并拿出大批布帛，让他到赵国去联系合纵之事。此后，又一鼓作气，说服了韩宣王、魏襄王、齐宣王和楚威王，使他们都加入了合纵联盟。韩、魏、齐、楚和燕、赵国君一致请苏秦担任合纵连横的主持人，同时兼任六国的相。

苏秦感慨地叹息说：“同样是我这个人，富贵了，亲戚就敬畏我，贫贱时，就轻视我。何况一般人呢!假使我当初在洛阳近郊有二顷良田，如今，我难道还佩带得上六个国家的相印吗?”当时他就散发了千金，赏赐给亲戚朋友。当初，苏秦到燕国去，向人家借过一百钱做路费，现在富贵了,经典语录，就拿出一百金(一百万钱)偿还那个人。并且报答了以前所有对他有恩德的人。
