门前的水塘，大半浸在树的浓荫里享受。在旁总少不了欢声笑语，我当然也得参加一份。这口水塘，嗯，有点意思。

夏日炎炎的时刻，也顾不得池里发青泛绿了。满脑子只认准了这个目标：我必须去里面凉快一下。水塘平静得不起波纹，更是吸引着烈日下滚烫的心。

“妈，我洗澡了。”叫喊着蹦进水里。只见远处多了几个小圈，还有在一旁跃跃欲试的小孩。在水塘里来回窜腾，脚下是仿佛深不可测的塘，心里，是满心的欢喜与激动。这美丽的水塘，我可从来没有这样亲近过。

“塘里有蛇，还这么脏。”这是小时候妈妈用来吓唬我，叫我不敢进其中。连在水塘旁的人一吓都是惊慌，生怕里面，忽然窜出麻绳样的蛇，再被狠狠咬上一口。被丢进去学习时，也常常想着：在那不远处，有条蛇，头上顶着太阳般的红，紧紧地盯着我。心一紧，便叫唤着要上来了。水塘，成了无法亲近的代表。
