The first one is listening skills . I think doing lots of listening practice is a great way to improve listening skills. Maybe you could buy some English tapes or borrow your teacher’s tapes to listen .

The second on is speaking skills. How can we practice our spoken English ? I think the first and the most important thing is to believe yourself . 我有参与许多项目，但是令我记忆最深刻的，也是唯一一个拿奖牌的项目就是实心球。运动会的第二天上午，天气晴朗，晴空万里无云，让人心情愉悦。来到指定观看区域坐好，就听见广播播报：“请五年级男子女子实心球的同学，到绘本馆门前检录”。我立马起身一路小跑跑到检录处，心情也随着比赛的到来由自信满满变的紧张起来。检录完成后到达比赛区，先是进行五年级女子实心球比赛，前三投投完后选出来的选手进行决赛的拼杀。王慧昭作为决赛的头号种子，投了六米七八，赢得了一片哗然，是年级最好的成绩。当女子最后一投投完时，也没有人能够超越，所以王慧昭获得女子实心球的冠军。

男子比赛开始了，我心想：“女子都拿了冠军，我也要努力争第一”。轮到我了，我昂首阔步走出队伍，拿起球退了三步，将球放到脖子上卡住，重心下移，肘部抬高，一切准备就绪后快速滑步，原地换脚起跳迅速借助力量将球向前推出，球飞出了一道完美的弧线。仿佛要飞出了地球，感觉这一投我使出了洪荒之力，当我转身抬头时，看见实心球又飞回了地球，一定是被地心引力拉了回来。裁判老师一测八米六七。场外沸腾了，“哇，8米67最高纪录，大力士呀!”后面几投对我来说十分放松，好像拥有了超能力，每次都在八米以上。终于我不负众望的获得了这枚沉甸甸的金牌。

本次运动会我们班总积分为165分，排名全年级第一，在多个项目中都获得第一名，并刷新了多项记录。我能够拿到实心球金牌，我要感谢我的爸爸妈妈。是他们的陪伴与指导，是他们教会了我如何抓球、滑步、投掷。同时我也付出了汗水和泪水才换来了这枚金牌。我深刻的体会到没有人生来就是成功的，也没有人生来注定会是失败的，只要我们朝着目标努力，不断的从失败中站起来，坚持不懈，就一定会有收获。

我们的英语老师有一头乌黑亮丽的头发，眼睛大大的，个子不高也不矮，但是整个人却很有精神。她教我们学的第一个词是“ms 刘”，有很多同学都不知道什么意思，老师马上翻译过来跟我们说“这个词的意思是刘女士或是刘老师”。随后英语老师就开始讲述第一节英语课。

她先给我们讲了讲英语单词，但是我听的一头雾水，整节课也是云里雾里的，什么都没听懂。放学后我带着英语课本来到校门口等待妈妈来接我回家，妈妈来到校门口笑着说：“你怎么带着英语课本啊？”“我没有听懂老师讲的英语。”刚说完我的眼泪就在眼眶里打转。

回到家妈妈给我打开录音让我跟着读，可还是没有听懂。然后就着急得趴在桌子上哭了起来。妈妈跟我说：“别着急，等你哥哥放学回来教教你。”话音刚落哥哥便打开门大叫一声：“我回来了！”把我逗得笑了起来。哥哥看我脸上还挂着泪珠，便问我怎么回事，我跟哥哥说了原因之后哥哥跟我说：“没事，走，我教你去！”然后我就跟着哥哥来到我的房间开始教我英语。

哥哥一边开着玩笑一边鼓励并教我学习英语，这让我觉得英语没有那么枯燥无味，使我对它充满了兴趣。经过哥哥的耐心指导让我学会了老师之前所讲的那些内容并且预习了后面一个单元，这使我觉的英语并没有想象中的那么难。
