Later ,they were promoted continuously. Gongsun Hong became the prime minister and Zhang Tang became the imperial censor. However, JiAns post remained thesame. One day, Ji An said to Emperor Wudi that the way the emperor used his ministers was just like piling up firewood, which meant that the latecomers surpassed the old-timers. Of course, Emperor Wudi could see that Ji An was complaining. So,turning to his ministers, Emperor Wudi said, "It is true that no one can stop learning.You see, Ji An is making more and more indiscreet remarks."

This story comes from The Historical Records. Later generations use the set phrase "the latecomers surpass the old-timers " to indicate that successors can cxcel the predecessors, which is quite different from the original idea when Ji An said that the latecomers surpassed the old-timers.

evening there will be a big family dinner. People who work far away from their homes will try to come back for the union. After dinner, people will light the lanterns which are usually red and round. Children will play with their own toy lanterns happily. At night the moon is usually round and bright. People can enjoy the moon while eating moon-cakes which are the special food for this festival. They can look back on the past and look forward to the future together. It is said that there was a dragon in the sky. The dragon wanted to swallow up the moon. To protect the frighten the dragon away.

What a great festival!

中秋节是中国一个很重要的节日，在八月十五号。在节日来临的前几天，家庭中的每一个人都帮着打扫房子，把房子装扮得漂漂亮亮的，灯笼挂在屋前。 晚上有一顿美餐，离家在外工作的人也要回来团圆。晚饭后，人们点亮灯笼，一般是红色的圆灯笼。孩子们会高高兴兴地玩他们的玩具灯笼。 晚上月亮又圆又大，人们在赏月的同时吃着中秋节特别的食品——月饼。人们在一起回顾过去，展望未来。据说天上有一条龙，它要把月亮吞下去。为了保护月亮，孩子们要弄出很大的响动把龙吓跑。

中秋是个美好的节日啊!

Spring Festival

My best festival is Spring Festival. It is in Janurary or February. It is the most important festival for the Chinese people. On that day everybody dresses up. First they extend greetings to their parents. Then each child will get money as a New Year gift, wrapped up in red paper.

People in northern China will eat jiaozi, or dumplings, for breakfast, the shape of the dumpling is like gold ingot from ancient China. So people eat them and wish for money and treasure.Burning fireworks was once the most typical custom on the Spring Festival. I like spring festival very much. Its my favourite holiday.

我最喜爱的节日是春节，它在一月或者二月。对于中国人来说这是最重要的节日。在那天，每个人都认真打扮，他们会像父母问好，然后每个孩子会得到红包作为新年礼物。

北方人喜欢早上吃饺子或者汤圆。饺子的形状像中国的元宝，他们吃饺子来期盼财源广进。燃放烟花也曾一度是春节的传统习俗。我非常喜欢春节，它是我最喜欢的节日。

Lantern Festival

Lantern Festival is a Chinas traditional festival. It is celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first month of the lunar year.

I,antern Festival is one of the biggest holidays in China. Several days before Lantern Festival, people begin to make lanterns. Lanterns are made in the shape of different animals, vegetables, fruits and many, other things. While making

lanterns people usually write riddles on lanterns. On the eve of Lantern Festival, all the lanterns are hung up.

On Lantern Festival people go outside to have a look at the lanterns and guess the riddles on the lanterns. Perhaps you call see some wonderful folk performances,Dragon Dance and Yangko. Everything is very interesting and everyone is very happy. Our life is rich and varied.

元宵节

元宵节是中国的一个传统节日。通常在阴历年的第一个月的第十五天庆祝。

一抹残阳，撕开天空一道缺口，洒向大地一片血色。

我迈着沉重的脚步走出学校的毕业礼堂，不经意间摔碎了五味瓶，百感交集。

光阴似箭，斗转星移，弹指一挥间，时光犹如白驹过从指间溜走。初中三年，将要结束，这似乎有点太快，但时间又曾为谁停留。

初一是橙色的。什么都觉得新鲜，第一次到学校的害怕和激

动。充满了欢声笑语。

初二的天空是蓝色的。我渐渐的习惯了初中的生活，还加入了学生会，生活很充实。

初三的天空也许是灰色的。面对快要毕业，我们之间只剩下沉默。我不知道以后的路怎样走，我还在那选择中徘徊。

那郁郁葱葱的相思湖畔，那开阔平坦的柏油路旁，一个浅浅的脚印都没留下，剩下的是如秋叶般沉重。

初中三年，如一颗流星划过静谧的夜空，短暂而美丽。再过一个月就要真正离开了，也许我更不应该悲伤，无论怎么样我们都还要学习，还要生活，还要奋斗。我们又过了三年，我们人生中还有多少个三年，让我们更加珍惜时间。

我回到杂乱而温馨的宿舍，内心无比平静。

珍重我的同学，珍重我的母校，珍重我逝去的年华…

青春的花开花谢让我们疲惫却无怨无悔；四季的雨雪纷飞让我们疲惫却不堪憔悴。昨天，还在为中考冲刺的我们，今天却不得不说出再见，不得不唱出离别---这首伤感的歌。

从一年一度的“校文化艺术节”到“英语周”，从“春季田径运动会”到“五月歌会”。这些是我们西校学子展示风采与进取精神的舞台，它们激励着我们更加认真的投入学习中，它们丰富了我们的初中生活。

我们应当感谢母校。我们预备时的懵懂与无知经过她的洗礼，逐渐变得成熟而淡定。我想，母校给予我们的不仅是知识，更是友谊，是一种博大的胸怀与一份身为母校人的骄傲与自豪！

我们应当感谢老师。每当我们因受到挫折而迷茫，是老师循循善诱，如同蜡烛般燃烧自己，照亮我们未来的路途；每当我们因面对困难而失去勇气，是老师鼓励我们，如同石阶般让我踏着，走向通向成功的路！罗其明老师课上不厌其烦的教导；黄春祎老师运动会上声嘶力竭的助威，姜红雨老师带领我们成为她的骄傲，还有陆翠玉老师、张丽老师以及所有教导过我们的老师们，在这里，我想对你们真诚的道声谢谢，因为没有你们，就没有今天的我们！

我们应当感谢朋友。“朋友一生一起走，那些日子不再有，一句话，一辈子，一生情，一杯酒。这首耳熟能详的《朋友》唱不尽我们之间的友谊。还有谁能这样真挚地在成功时为彼此祝贺？还有谁能这样努力的在运动会时为彼此呐喊？只有你们，我的朋友们！

如今，我们这些小雏鹰们即将离开母校的怀抱，挥动沉着有力的超级棒，飞翔更为广阔的蓝天。我想，我们没有太多时间沉浸在回忆中，因为这不能使我们前进；我们也不能只充满对未来的幻想，语文这需要用我们的努力来实现。我们只有把握当下，当下的力量催人奋进，我们只活在当下，珍藏这份没有皱褶的美好回忆，画着一颗感恩的心，走向生命更灿烂的明天！

再见了，我的母校，再见了，我的老师朋友们，相信会有重逢的那一刻！
