Most Chinese students have difficulties in learning English. The difficulties vary so much from person to person that it is difficult to cite here in a few words. Some may have problems in reading. Others may have trouble in writing. I also had problems in English learning, but my difficulty seemed to lie in listening. For example, when tested for listening comprehension, I couldnt understand a single sentence, let alone a passage of medium level.

In order to overcome the difficulty in my English learning, I made great efforts to find the key to the problem. I consulted my teacher and found out that I merely didnt have enough time to practice listening. So I bought a tape recorder and listened to it at least two hours a day. 每个学生都会对入学季感到兴奋，他们期待看到新同学，即将展开新的生活篇章。然而当毕业季到来的时候，这意味着和同学说再见，是时候离开学校了。入学季带来了快乐，而毕业季带来了悲伤。学生不想要和同学说再见，经过长时间的认识，学生间已经建立了深厚的友谊，很难说再见。在中国，有一句方言“天下无不散之筵席”，对于每个学生来说，他们将要离开学校，为彼此的未来奋斗。虽然毕业季有点悲伤，但是确实另一个转折点，有些同学找工作，有些同学出国深造，他们都要为将来奋斗。毕业季不是终点，而是开始。

My name is Tom Lee. I am fourteen. I study at No. 4 ICT School, not a very big school. There are about six hundred students in my school. The action is as important as the ambition. On the one hand, ambition sets up the goal for a person to fight. Without ambition, no one can be successful, ambition is just like the light in the dark, it leads people to see the bright future.

On the other hand, action helps people to realize their dreams. Sometimes, action even is more important than the ambition. Everyone has the ambition, but the action makes them different. The one who just keeps thinking and not to take action will never be successful. As the saying that no pain, no gain, it reminds people to take action. So we need to have both ambition and action.

对于年轻人来说，有雄心壮志是很重要的，他们需要动力来前进。但是他们大部分人只是嘴上说说，从来不行动。行动和决心一样重要。一方面，决心为人定下目标去奋斗。没有决心，没有人能够成功，决心就如黑暗中的灯光，引导着人们来看光明的未来。

另一方面，行动帮助人们实现他们的梦想。有时候，行动比决心更加重要。每个人都有决心，但是行动才会有所作为。谁只是想想而不采取行动的话，是不会成功的。正如有句话说没有付出，就没有收获，这告诉人们要采取行动。因此我们既需要决心，也需要行动。

今年暑假，因为爸爸妈妈要上班，我照例回老家过，由于我性格较内向，妈妈觉得要给我报一个兴趣班，说是让我增加与人交往机会，学习一些知识，暑假还让我上课真令我头疼。

这天，爷爷奶奶带着我来到妈妈事先给我联系好的 “金话筒主持人”兴趣班，我将在这里上我的暑假第一课。进去后，只见一个个小人坐在小板凳上，我不禁心想：这是托儿所吗?怎么这群孩子都没我大。我想了想，随即找了个小板凳坐了下来，可板凳太小了承重力不足，加上我偏胖，板凳几乎要被压垮。“叮铃铃”终于上课了，老师给我们讲了主持人的站姿，如何生动地进行自我介绍，此时，我才对这个补习班产生了一丝丝好感。但是与其他同学年龄的差异还是令我尴尬。第一节课快结束时，老师又让家长们进来旁听同学们的自我介绍。唉，我要与这群小不点轮流表演，我不禁感到十分排拆。当我认真表演完了，台下一群家长可能看到我与其他小孩的年龄差异，禁不住大笑，顿时，一股浓浓的恨意在我心头产生，我讨厌这个兴趣班，讨厌和这群小孩一起，也讨厌这些家长们的笑声。妈妈听我抗议后，怕同班小孩太小我不能适应，和老师协调退出了这个兴趣班。

离开了“金话筒主持人”兴趣班后，我又马不停蹄的来到了第二个兴趣班——国际音标班。进去之后我十分惊喜，因为这个班里都是和我年龄差不多大的孩子。我找了个位子坐下，再看看老师，“哇，太好了，是朱老师”，我以前英语辅导班就是在她那上的，我心中窃喜。一个又高又瘦的男孩成了我的同桌，我同桌也和我聊了聊，我们聊游戏，聊打球，共同语言很多，因此成了好朋友。我每天很喜欢去上课，对英标产生了浓厚的兴趣，培训结束后对我们进行了测试，我还考出了优异的成绩。

我觉得暑假兴趣班就要这样，大家年龄差不多，有许多可以聊的同学，才能既有兴趣，又学到知识。
