My university life has been one of the most colorful parts of my life. I will never forget the day when I first stepped into the university. At that very moment, I was impressed immediately by the beautiful campus, the enthusiastic students and the good learning atmosphere. I fell in love with the campus at once.

First, studying on the campus gives me lots of pleasure. After some very arduous military training, I became absolutely absorbed in my studies. Different from high school courses, the courses in university are specific and interesting. I can get information not only from teachers in class, but also outside of class, such as in the library, on the Internet and so on. These courses arouse my insatiable desire for knowledge and make me learn and digest as much as I can. To be frank, I had some difficulties in keeping up with my teachers at first, but later with the help of my teachers, I made remarkable progress. Learning is a long process, and I will continue to be a learner throughout my life.

Besides, social activities on campus provide me with more chances to learn. I will never forget the days I served as a volunteer at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. After some training in Chinese history and language skills both in Japanese and English, I endeavored to serve our distinguished guests from all over the world enthusiastically. I was a volunteer as well as a disseminator of our splendid culture. There was no doubt that I came across many difficulties at first, such as humid weather, language barriers and so on. Thanks to other volunteers’ help, I overcame those difficulties. When it was time to depart, I couldn’t help bursting into tears, because I had developed a deep friendship with other volunteers. In my opinion, university life has been the most splendid time in my life so far, and many students cherish this period of time and hope that in the future they may become outstanding members of society. But there are also some ignorant students who get together every day only to eat, drink, play computer games or date. They completely forget their mission as a college student and their responsibility to their family to do their best in school.

I want to say that although there are lots of difficulties or setbacks during our college days, we should set our goals and achieve them. I do hope we can try our best to become productive citizens of the country and make great contributions to the nation.

低碳生活只是一种态度，而不是能力，我们应该从节电、节水、节碳、节油、节气这种小事做起，低碳生活是我们要建立的绿色生活方式，只要我们去行动，就可以接近低碳生活，甚至可以达到低碳生活的标准。

淘米水可以用来洗脸洗手，茶叶渣可以晒干做茶叶枕头，用传统的发条闹钟取代电子闹钟，随手拔下电器插头……这些看似不经意的举动，都是在为地球减碳。市环保局的专家说，“低碳生活”实际上就是节水、省电、省气和回收四大要素，具体到市民生活中来说，都是些举手之劳的小事。

低碳生活，其实不仅仅关系到环境保护、节约资源之类的宏大命题。即便在个人生活层面上，它也是好处多多的———既节省生活开支，又有利于身心健康。比如，选择自行车、步行、公交车等绿色出行方式;又比如，少用一度电、少用一张纸、节约一滴水;再比如，使用环保购物袋、认养一棵绿化树……

4、了解：2010年中国地球日主题“低碳生活”

教师：在2010年4月22日即第41个世界地球日即将来临之际，国土资源部确定中国今年的地球日主题为“珍惜地球资源，转变发展方式，倡导低碳生活”。

二、了解何谓“低碳” “低碳生活”及在“低碳生活”中的做法

①低碳(low carbon)低碳意指较低(更低)的温室气体(二氧化碳为主)排放。②低碳生活 (low-carbon life)指生活作息时所耗用的能量要尽力减少，从而减低二氧化碳的排放量。

(1)引言

良好的自然环境，是人类存在、延续的物质基础。自然环境是指地球上有生命的范围，通常又叫生物圈。生物圈是遵循平衡法则的循环系统，有天然自净作用，如果天然自净徨遭受人为破坏，环境就会受到污染，人类自己就会受到惩罚，甚至威胁人类的生存。

保护环境是全人类的义务，因为我们只有一个地球！

我国水哉污染严重

我国江河湖泊普遍受到不同程度的污染。全国每年至少接受排放的污水300亿吨，平均每天8000万至9000万吨。而其中85%以上未经任何处理埋接流入江河。黄河、珠江、淮河、松花江、辽河、海河等流域有机污染严重。四大海区以渤海和东海污染较重，赤潮频频发生，近海海域水质恶化日趋明显。

保护我们的环境

我国建成了"三北防护林带"，有效地控制了风沙的南侵；限期治理淮河水质污染，政府下令限期沿淮河两岸的工厂企业达标排放废水，凡是在限期内达不到要求的一律关闭。目前正采用同样措施治理其他江河湖泊沿岸工厂企业的排放污水问题，这样就有效地制止水资源的污染；包兰荒漠防护网的形成，积累了人类战胜荒沙的经验；长江上游的植被重建工程，历时二十余年，取得较为显著的成效，最近又加大了重建的.力度，划定了天然森林禁止砍伐区、扩大封山育林的区域；国务院决定本世纪末投资900亿元重点重建长江、珠江、钱塘江和太湖、鄱阳湖、巢湖的环境。

闻名世界的"水俣病"

水俣湾是日本的一个风景秀丽的海湾。水俣镇上的渔民世世代代靠丰富的海产生活。1950年，镇上发生了一个奇怪的现象：有些猫猛然得了怪病，走起路来晃晃悠悠，四肢不断抽筋，最后竟自己跳进海里淹死。不久，当地居民也得了这种怪病。症状跟病猫十分相似，先是口齿不清，走路东倒西歪，继而肌肉哆嗦，身体蜷曲，发疯似地喊叫，最后在极其痛苦中死去。

这种怪病的起因，直到1969年才查清楚：原来水俣镇有一家氮肥公司，它在生产过程中采用汞作催化剂。这家公司向水俣湾排出的废水废渣中就含有汞。汞进入动物体或人体内，就会麻痹中枢神经，年深日久就会造成死亡。

水俣湾的海水被含汞的废水污染，海洋里生物中了汞毒，海洋生物组成"食物链"，一环一环的积累，到了大鱼身上，汞的浓度就比海水中的提高了一万倍到十万倍。猫和人吃了含汞量较高的水产，就得了可怕的水俣病。
