Every time when summer comes, I am so looking forward to summer vacation, because I can make many plans in the long vacation. Last summer, I spent a month to stay with my uncle and his family.

They live in the north. When I got there, I found the weather there was not that hot and I liked the coolness. In the daytime, my cousin and I played on the beach, because we lived near the beach. I would paint pictures and wait for the water to wash they away. Sometimes my uncle would take his boat with us. We floated on the sea and appreciated the beautiful nature.

我有一只奇特的大南瓜，放在我家阳台上。我特别喜欢她。经常在放学后看着她发会呆。

我的大南瓜直径25厘米左右，形状扁扁的，圆圆的，有很多深深的皱褶把这个大南瓜分成了十几个部分。整个南瓜的外形凹凸不平但错落有致，非常独特。她的颜色是暗桔黄色的，很漂亮，有一种丰收的感觉。

她不是一只普通的南瓜，她是我千里迢迢从云南束河古镇带回来的。

As we all know, pollution is harmful to living beings. There are many

different types of pollutions in this world. For instance, water pollution, air

pollution, noise pollution and so on. Water pollution cause many kinds of

disease that have negative effects on human beings, sometimes the diseases will

take people’s life away. Dirty air will increase the rate of getting lung

cancer. While the noise pollution will cause insomnia. People’s health condition

will be damaged.

In my humble opinion, people should take measures to control the pollution.

Recently, not only the government, but also individual has taken part in the

action of protecting the environment. This is a good sign. Rivers are being

cleaned, air is purified, and the people come to realize that the importance of

protecting the environment.

However, this is not enough, the problems are still exist. Not all of them

have been solved. Some factories are still pouring dirty water into the rivers

or give off the toxic gas into the sky. We should know that protecting the

environment needs everybody’s effort.

Today is the annual national holiday, is a happy day.

I and my father and mother go to the zoo to play. We entered the park, we saw where the sea of people, like a long queue, more like a happy ocean.

Animal in the zoo is so much! There are cute little bunny, there are bulky gorillas, and that beautiful peacock. There are mandarin ducks in the water play, I throw food to them, they immediately ran over to snatch, really too cute. Thanks for your last letter. Im so glad that you have been able (at last! ) to arrange a holiday in Australia. As I fear I wont be able to meet you at the airport when you arrive, nor will I be able to be home until later in the afternoon, so here are some instructions and suggestions.

There is a bus from the airport to the city. It is much cheaper than a cab. Take the bus to the city and ask to get off at Town Hall railway station.

To get to my place in the eastern suburbs you have three options. You can either take a cab, a bus or the train. I suggest you take the train, since the airport bus will leave you right at the station. Get off at Cliff Station. From there you can either walk to my place (about ten minutes) or take a taxi. Probably you should take a taxi as you will have luggage.

When you arrive at my flat, ring the intercom for Flat 2. My friend Lillian will be at home and she will open the front door for you and let you into my flat.

Presumably you will be tired and want to sleep. But if you feel like some exercise after that long flight, you could stroll down to Cooper Park, which is only ten minutes away ? you can see it from the window.

三月里一个阳光明媚的周末，我们一家六口来到我国首都——北京，游览了举世闻名的万里长城。

之前从书上了解到：长城是由嘉峪关、山海关和八达岭组成的，虽然它叫万里长城，但其实它的全长是2196。18千米。爬完长城，需要用整整一晌的时间。

第二天，我们怀着激动的心情向长城出发。来到长城脚下，首先映入眼帘的是连绵不断的大山，上面栽满了苍翠欲滴的花草树木，中间是蜿蜒曲折的长城，从远看长城就像一条巨龙卧在一座雄伟壮观的大山上面。妈妈说：“长城是在秦朝建成的，是秦始皇为了抵御外来入侵者而开始修建的。延续不断共修建了2000多年的时间，至今已有上千年的历史，可惜现在有些人们不文明，长城上被多处破坏，已展现不出它当时的光辉了。”妈妈说完，深深地叹了一口气，我知道，妈妈是在为长城惋惜，“妈，”我说道，“俗话说“不到长城非好汉’，今天我们就做一条“好汉’吧，出发！”

Since we were born， many people help us a lot. We should be grateful to their kindness. But the ones we should show our greatest appreciation are our parents. From the first day we appear in their lives， they give us all their love and care， but never expect anything in return. New Year is the biggest festival for Chinese people. After about half a

month, there is a traditional festival, it is the Lantern Festival, which is

also important. The first round moon day in the New Year is special. People

continue to celebrate the New Year and enjoy the time with their families.

The coming of Lantern Festival is various. Some people said that it is

related with Buddha. When the Buddhas meditated, they need light in front of

them, so the light can drive away monster for people. Today, in some areas,

people light up lanterns to beg for a son from god. No matter what the story is,

the traditional festival is favored by people and the government pays special

attention to remind this tradition.

There are many activities on Lantern Festival, and the most traditional

第二天天刚亮，我的肚子就咕噜咕噜响，我以为是风吹着了，盖好被，还是响，而且还有些痛，睡也睡不好，去完厕所后还是有些难受，在困意的侵蚀下，又睡了一小会，就开始辗转反侧，一看时间已经七点了，我开始叠被，却突然感觉有点恶心，我心里想着，不会是要吐吧，正想着，胃里开始翻江倒海，我急忙把被一扔，快步跑到卫生间，感觉整个人都变的不好了。没有精神，很难受。

早饭也吃不下去，没有食欲，看着吃的也不想吃，在床上躺着不想动。妈妈给我买了药，我勉强吃了几口饭，把药喝了，又睡了一天。

吃货也有失职的时候，等我好了，一定不会这么吃了，原来吃也要有个"度"才行啊。
