Here is a difference between science and technology.Science is a method of

answering theoretical questions; technology is a method of solving practical

problems. Science has to do with discovering the facts and relationships between

observable phenomena in nature and with establishing theories that serve to

organize these facts and relationships; technology has to do with

tools,techniques, and procedures for implementing the findings of science.

Another distinction between science and technology has to do with the

progress in each. Progress in science excludes the human factor. Scientists, who

dislikes, or to popular ideas about the fitness of things. What scientists

discover may shock or anger people--as did Darwins theory of evolution. But

even an unpleasant truth is more than likely to be useful; besides, we have the

option of refusing to believe it! But hardly so with technology;we do not have

the option of refusing to hear the sonic boom produced by a supersonic

aircraft-flying overhead; we do not have the option of refusing to breathe

polluted air. Unlike science, progress in technology must be our slave and not

the reverse. The legitimate purpose of technology is to serve peopie--people in

general, not merely some people; and future generations, not merely those who

presently wish to gain advantage for themselves.

We are all familiar with the abuses of technology. Many people blame

technology itself for widespread pollution, resource depletion and even social

decay in general--so much so that the promise of technology is obscured. That

promise is a cleaner and healthier world. If wise applications of science and

technology do not lead to a better world, what else will?

How I Spent My Summer Vacation The summer vacation had come round again. I was happy that I could forget about school at least for a while. Lest I fool around all through this summer vacation, I made a plan as to how to spend it. First, I thought I should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that I could have a better understanding of them. Then I thought I should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running rowing, to keep me physically strong. 这时扫帚出场了。我把另一块抹布弄湿、挤干、对折，包在扫帚上，两边用夹子固定，从房间内侧轻轻往外扫。为什么这样做呢?因为用湿抹布包裹后清扫，灰尘不会飞扬，影响刚清洁好的桌面;而且湿抹布还可以吸附头发丝和橡皮屑呢!清扫完毕后的地面垃圾可以直接用餐巾纸包裹起来投进垃圾桶，再把抹布清洗、挤干。

最后我拿起了平板拖把。先将清洗挤干的抹布夹在平板拖上，同样从房间的里面往外慢慢、仔细地拖，这样既可以保证地面干净，也可以防止自己滑倒。平板拖把的杆子可以调节长短，拖把头可以贴合房间的每个角落，使用非常方便。房间清洁完毕后，将两块抹布都拿去水池用肥皂和板刷清洗干净、晾干，把扫帚和拖把也放回阳台的角落。当然，别忘了将自己的拖鞋底也擦拭干净哦。

虽然“劳动节”劳动有点苦、有点累，衣服也弄湿了，但看到自己的房间整整洁洁、一尘不染，心里还是美滋滋的。劳动真快乐!也祝老师和同学们“劳动节”快乐!

今天的十月一日是伟大的祖国72岁的生日。在我们一家也快快乐乐的来到了植物园。

一进园内，由各种各样的花儿摆成的“国庆”两个字极为显眼。快看!右边的那只“小老虎”很是可爱。或许你会觉得明明是植物园，怎么会有“小老虎”呢?嘻嘻，其实“老虎”的也是用植物摆成的。真佩服摆老虎的工匠，他能把“老虎”摆的栩栩如生，巧夺天工的技艺让人叹为观止。

往里走，我们望见了一个平静的湖。湖面碧波荡漾，湖畔的柳树垂着枝条，风儿一吹，柳枝柔情的抚摸着湖水，给本来就葱葱郁郁的植物园又添了一分妩媚。顺着湖岸往前走，我们竞走到了菊花园。里面的菊花千姿百态，各种各样。颜色也各有不同。它们红的似火;粉的似霞;黄的赛金……吸引了众多游客前去观赏。

This morning is cool.I am going to play basketball.After play basketball,I

During the National Day, our family went to Yunfu Mountain Hot Springs.

To the hot springs, we swim for swimsuit. First of all we came to the childrens pool, where there are a lot of fun slides there are things, I did not even do not do the warm-up exercise could not help but jumped out of the pool, "wow, really comfortable." But the water there is too shallow , Do not move. Then we went to the fish treatment pool, I put the feet into, there are many small fish over my feet, very comfortable, but feel a little itch. 那天，天气晴朗，明媚的阳光毫不吝啬地撒向大地。我要跟表哥到麦地里去摘豌豆花了！一路上，榆树的叶子绿的发黑，柳树的叶子绿的发亮，远远看去，像披上了一层绿纱，美极了。我随手摘下一条柳枝，把柳枝挽成花圈的形状，戴在头上。远处，几朵花争芳斗艳，小草则悄悄地从地皮探出头来。

我的心情好极了，哼着歌，骑着自行车在田园小径中来回穿梭。到了目的地，我随手摘下一朵小花，问表哥：“这是一种什么花呀？”表哥说：“这就是豌豆花。”我仔细观察起来，这种花是紫色的，花蕊是白色的，还散发着淡淡的清香。表哥介绍：“这种豌豆花晒干后用开水泡茶喝，可以消炎，对身体有好处。这种花很难找到，所以你要注意不能浪费。”我摘起来不管三七二十一，见一个豌豆花就摘，有时候还用力过多，把茎也扯断了。表哥又说：“不能摘没有开的豌豆花，没有开的豌豆花对身体有害。还有，不能用蛮力摘，要是扯断了茎，明年豌豆花就开不了了，要用指甲掐下豌豆花的花底端。”我学着表哥的样子，不一会就摘了很多，效率提高了好多，也不会扯断茎了。

另一件事是我与妈妈去参观五井太湖石市场。那天，天气很好，路边没有树，取而代之的是一些形状奇特的太湖石。我情不自禁地说：“啊，这里的太湖石好多呀！”妈妈笑着说：“你看的这些只是很小的一部分，跟太湖石市场比起来，真是小巫见大巫。”听妈妈一说，我的好奇心更旺盛了，恨不得马上就到。经过十分钟的颠簸，终于来到了太湖石市场，刚进去，我就惊呆了，里面的太湖石各式各样，琳琅满目，令人叹为观止。看，那边有块巨石像两条龙，正在腾云驾雾，这座太湖石刻工精细，栩栩如生，仿佛就像真的一样。

那边有一块太湖石，多像一只老乌龟，正背着几只小乌龟在慢吞吞地爬；有的像调皮的猴子，正在树上上下乱窜；有的像一只老鹰，自由自在地在天空遨游；有的像一只大象，正在扬着鼻子号叫……我被太湖石自然的气质迷住了，被太湖石质朴的美震撼了，我完全沉浸在太湖石的海洋里。“这里的太湖石很有名，外省的人甚至处国人都来这里交易，每块太湖石价值上万元哪！”妈妈感叹道。我问妈妈：“这些太湖石是怎样挖掘出来的？用挖土机吗？”“不，不能用挖土机，那样很容易挖到石头而使机器破损。这每一块石头都是工人一铲子一铲子挖出来的呀！”“什么，那该多累呀。”“是啊，这里的每一块太湖石都凝聚着千千万万个工人的心血与汗水啊！”这时，我觉得太湖石美，那些工人更美！

通过上面两件事，我懂得了劳动的艰辛。什么事物不是本来都有的，要靠自己去劳动，去创造，什么事物都来之不易，只有努力创造，付出艰辛，才能得到回报。

今天我上网做英语假期作业，我下定决心一定要得个满分给妈妈和爸爸看。

首先点击假期作业，开始玩“疯狂游戏机”啦，它的图案是一个马蜂，我想要是写错了肯定有一些马蜂来顶我吧！再点击一下，哦！原来游戏规则是：我们要按照电脑报出来的句子来按顺序点击它给你的单词。我心想这玩意儿可真难玩：有好几个重复的，而且还不好点击。后来我发现重复的当中，原来还有字首大小写的区别。掌握了这一点就很好玩了。几分钟，我就将它们一举攻下！最后数据给我了一个出人意料的成绩：114分。满分耶！呵呵！其实英语也不是那么难学，这种玩中学的方法我喜欢。你看，上面还有全班大爆料游戏，不用学，我就玩会了，但是同学已经把我爆料了77下啦！

网上作业就是好，同学最近状态，还有在班上你的成绩排第几，都能知道。而且不像其他的英语作业，枯燥无味，一点儿新鲜感都没有，还难把单词给记住。

One day on she way to school, she saw a little girl crossing the road. A car was coming towards her quickly and the girl was too frightened to move. The car nearly hit her. Just then Li Yang rushed up to her and caught her by the arm. The little girl was saved. She told him where she lived, and he took her home. When Li Yang hurried into the classroom, the teacher had already begun his lesson. She told the teacher why he was late.

I had a great time throughout my may day holiday.

On monday, i went bbq with my classmates who threw a celebration party at our middle school principles flat. our parents were invited to the party. everybody was excited about the holiday. i ate a lot of delicious food at that time.

On tuesday, i went visiting my uncles family with my parents. we went to celebrate our good time at a fancy restaurant in shanghai. later that day, we sang karaoke in my uncles house. we stayed for the night.

On wednesday, i went shopping with my cousins. we bought some brand name t-shirts and pants. in the afternoon, my cousins gave me a fun ride on the city highway. they also taught me how to drive their fancy car, so i tried to do some turning and parking. it was not easy first. but i learnt quick.

on thursday, we returned home with many gifts from our trip. i tried to get some rest. at night, i chatted with my classmates on the phone, and i watched cctv before going to bed.

From friday on, i started to finish up my homework assignments on my personal laptop. some of my assignments were quite boring. after i finished the homework, i emailed them to my teachers. that was the end of it. i started to prepare things for school on this coming monday.

I’m going to the sun on my holiday.I will go there by a spaceship.I will take a big blue spaceship.

Then I’ll pilot the spaceship to the sun.The sun is very hot.So I put on the super-shirt.In the morning,I will have some sun burger for my breakfast.

At eight o’clock,I will play with my friends there.They are super dog and super girl.Super dog is white and black.Super girl is very clever.Super girl and super dog like to play with me.So I play with them for forty minutes.Then I do my homework in my little red room on a small blue table.After my home work,I will have my lunch.I will eat sun salad.I will make some red toy bear to the sun babies.I will have red juice,red fish and red rice.All the things are red.Then I need a lot of water on the sun because the sun is too hot.So I will walk to the spaceship.I’ll pilot the spaceship to the earth.
