"I want to be a teacher teaching Chinese because I like Chinese and

writing," Xi said. "By teaching I can not only share knowledge with my students,

but also keep learning new things from new versions of textbooks."

She is living with her mother in a room that has no bathroom and costs 300

yuan ($48) a month to rent. Merit certificates she received from school are

displayed on the wall. Yan Lingling, Xis mother, said she is proud of her

daughter.

According to the family planning policy, couples in which both the husband

and wife have rural residential permits can have another child if their first is

a daughter. Yan said she isnt planning on adding to the family because she

wants to give her daughter the best she has.

"My husband is away most of the time, working in construction sites and

making no more than 30,000 yuan ($4,840) a year. I work as an hourly worker

sometimes. The rent of our apartment is expensive. One more child means one more

burden," Yan said.

Speaking about how she plans to achieve her dream of becoming a teacher, Xi

said: "I will not give up on my dream easily, though I know it may be difficult.

When something becomes difficult, it only makes me want to try harder."

我们的春节是中国人一年中的第一个传统佳节，它标志旧的一年结束，新的一年已经开始。年夜饭，是春节的重要活动之一，中国的百姓家庭对年夜饭极为重视。正月初二，我和爸爸妈妈一起到奶奶家吃年夜饭。

在今天来的人特别多，奶奶家显得格外热闹，年味超浓。姑姑、叔叔和我爸爸正聊得热火重天。他们边嗑瓜子，边滔滔不绝的聊着各种话题。表哥和嫂子在房间里逗小baby开心，看着小宝贝的笑脸，他们别提有多开心了。而我和俩位表姐则更是“肆无忌惮”了。我们三人盘腿坐在沙发上，悠闲自得地玩着ipad上的割绳子，时不时传出一阵阵爽朗的笑声。

又过了一会儿，奶奶慈祥地把我们带进房间，塞给我们每人一个印着“马”的红包，我们接过红包，笑盈盈的谢谢奶奶。

很快的还有5分钟就到6点了。姑父把我们安排到圆桌上的各个座位上，我和2位表姐左右邻座。先上一道饭前甜点“蔬菜沙拉”开开胃。我们三个吃货纷纷拿勺子一勺勺地舀着沙拉，没一会儿，沙拉就差不多吃完了。姑姑笑着说：“慢点吃，每人和你们抢。”这时，第二道菜“年年有鱼”上来了。色香味俱全，酱油的味道恰到好处，加上葱花点缀，这道菜别提有多美了。鱼上完了，紧接着就是“清煮虾仁”了。这道菜清甜可口，配上一碗香醋，让人垂涎欲滴。稍后又上了不少好菜，个顶个都是美食，今天来真是有口福了。

晚上，吃完晚饭。大家陆陆续续都散了，我和爸爸妈妈也只好依依不舍的和奶奶说“再见”了，今天一天玩得别提有多开心了，和家人团聚是一件幸福的事。

走过一条条小路，路过一条条小河，经常会看到一些垃圾，如：被吃过的水果的果皮、零食包装、塑料瓶子等，工厂和汽车放出的气体，使到处变得乌烟瘴气。大家都想知道是谁在破坏，现在揭晓答案：“是我们，人类！”

目前世界上百分之六十的地区街上都会出现有垃圾的现象，只有少数的国家有一尘不染的“美誉”，比如说：日本，日本的大街上几乎没有垃圾桶，有的话也是规定了倒垃圾的时间，其余时间不能倒垃圾，他们一般在要逛街的情况下，都会随身带个垃圾袋，以免买了东西的袋子或是遇到突发情况都不用丢脸地找别人借袋子，他们都不会像我们国家的有些人那样自私，他们每个人都有一个共同的信念：保持清洁卫生，不能让其他国家的人决得日本的卫生习惯很差！

有一种污染名叫白色垃圾，我简单介绍一下：塑料制品作为质轻，防水，防腐蚀的新型材料，在全世界被广泛运用。

塑料最早运用于农业地膜，给农业生产带来了极大的发展，可使农作物在任何季节生长，促进了市场消费。据市场统计，自1990～1995年，塑料的生产以每年8．9％的速度增长，已经席卷了整个地球。简直可以称作“白色革命”。但它在为人们提供方便的同时，也给人们带来了一场“白色灾难”。

至今，“白色污染”已经成为众所周知的一个新型名词。它主要指各种发泡塑料袋，农用地膜等给环境造成了污染，并且得到社会的普遍关注。

还有人做过统计，火灾中被浓烟熏死呛死的人是烧死者的4？5倍。在一些火灾中，被"烧死"的人实际上是先烟气中毒窒息死亡之后又遭火烧的。

浓烟致人死亡的主要原因是一氧化碳中毒。在一氧化碳浓度达1。3%的空气中，人吸上两三口气就会失去知觉，呼吸1？3分钟就会导致死亡。而常用的建筑材料燃烧时所产生的烟气中，一氧化碳的含量高达2。5%。此外，火灾中的烟气里还含有大量的二氧化碳。在通常的情况下，二氧化碳在空气中约占0。06%，当其浓度达到2%时，人就会感到呼吸困难，达到6%？7%时，人就会窒息死亡。另外还有一些材料，如聚氯乙烯、尼龙、羊毛、丝绸等纤维类物品燃烧时能产生剧毒气体，对人的威胁更大。

所以，我想提醒大家：“千万不要破坏环境，害人害己，而且对自己的身体没有好处！”
