It is undeniable that the worsening environment has become the biggest concern of the present-day world. Land resources are dwindling because of water loss and soil erosion. Waste gases poison the air we breathe. The rivers and lakes are polluted by waste dumped in them from factories. Mid-autumn day is a special festival in China, which is one of the traditional Chinese festivals. It falls on the 15th day of Augustlunar month every year. Our Chinese will celebrate it on that day. I think there are not too many people can reject the temptation of it. I like this festival very much. I have two reasons.

First of all, Mid-autumn has the deep meaning of reunion. In China, people regard Mid-autumn day as very important, so no matter where they are, they will come back to their family if there is a chance. They don’t like celebrate this festival outside, which will make them feel lonely. Thus, they will go home by all means. Luckily, the government also pays great attention to this traditional festival. There are laws tomake sure people have holidays on that special day. In the other word, mid-autumn festival gives a chance for family get together.

Secondly, every family will prepare a big meal on that day. All the food is delicious. It is good to have a big meal. I think nobody will not interested in delicious food. The mooncake is a necessary decoration forMid-autumn day. It tastes good, too. It is the tradition for a long time. How pleased to enjoy the glorious full moon with mooncake!

This is why I love Mid-autumn festival so much.

In the last several decades, our earth has been extremely polluted, such as air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution and so on. In recent years, the extreme weather becomes more and more frequent. Winter gets colder and summer becomes hotter and it rains more frequently. All of these warn us that protecting the environment is a serious and emergent event. As our general people, we should build proper lifestyle. We should pay attention to water and light saving. When we go out, we should firstly choose the public transportation. The most important is that we must realize that we can do a lot of things to protect our environment. Its our duty to make our home better. Let’s change from ourselves.

How to protect the environment

Its very impont for us to protect the environment good environment can make people feel happy and fit.To improve the environment means to improve our life.we should plant more trees and flowers around us.we shouldnt cut them down.we should stop factories from pouring west water into river.Dont draw on public walls.After all,its our duty to protect the environment.We hope our world will become more and more beautiful.

随着地球资源的渐渐减少，呼吁环保的呼声日益增多。但是仍有大部分的人类肆意的破坏着生态平衡。有人高呼环保，背地里却干着见不的人的勾当；有的厂家对外宣称合理排行污水，却把江河当做污水排放厂······随着人类社会的高度发展，人类已进入了空前的文明时代，但我们面前的却是乌黑发臭的河水，成片的沙漠，光秃的土坡，作为90后的我们，应该把环保做的更好。

白色污染

伴随着人类生活文明的进步，白色污染日愈严重起来。塑料袋，塑料包装等虽是我们日常生活中必不可少的东西，它价格便宜，质轻，耐用，防水的几大特点被人们所看好。在中国的市场极大，我国也是世界上十大塑料制品生产和消费国之一。但处理这些东西比想象中难得多。一般塑料垃圾在自然界停留的时间可达200~500年。所以对于塑料类制品我们要抵制使用。

汞污染

汞是唯一在常温下呈液体的金属元素。俗称朱砂。汞可溶于水，空气中。它巨大的毒性令人谈之色变。它主要来源于电池等物品。据统计1970~1979年全世界直接向水体排放的汞总量达1.6万吨！排向大气的汞量也达10万吨。当水中或空气中的汞浓度过高时，会导致树木枯死，人类患上因汞摄入过高引发的病症，如日本南部九州湾有一个叫水俣的小镇，这里居住着4万居民，以渔业为生。1939年开始，日本氮肥公司的合成醋酸厂开始生产氯乙烯，工厂的生产废水一直排放入水误湾。该公司在生产氯乙烯和醋酸乙烯时，使用了含汞的催化剂，使废水中含有大量的汞。这种汞在水体中，被水中的鱼食用，在鱼体内转化成有毒的甲基汞。人食用鱼后，汞在人体内聚集从而产生一种怪病：患者开始时，只是口齿不清，步履蹒跚，继而面部痴呆，全身麻木，耳聋眼瞎，最后变成神经失常，直至躬身狂叫而死。1972年据环境厅统计，水误镇共患水误病180人，死亡50多人，就在新线县阿赫野川亦发现100多水误病患者，8人死亡。据报到，患者人数远不止此，仅水误镇的受害居民，即达万余人。

环保事业说大很大，说小很小。往大的说，可以造成成片的水域污染。往小了说，只要我们每人从身边的小事做起，人人环保低碳，环保事业也可以是一件很小的事。如果我们少用些塑料袋，少乱丢些垃圾，那么这个世界上便会少些随风飘舞的白，多些生机勃勃的绿；也会少些乌黑肮脏的河，多些碧蓝清澈的湖······

如果我们每个人在地上看见一个塑料袋不是直接走过，而是弯腰拾起；如果我们每人不是随意乱丢垃圾，而是做到合理分类垃圾；如果我们每人都少用些塑料袋，多用些环保袋。那么我相信地球母亲会少些愤恨的泪水。。。。。。
