As a supervisor of HSE management in an oil company, I can see the environmental protection in a different way.

In 1989, an oil tanker hit a rock off the northwest coast of Alaska. 35,000 tons of oil poured into the sea. The accident was one of the worst in history. More than 34,000 birds and 10,000 animals were killed. 4,800 square kilometers of ocean were polluted.

of the generation gap, each family should use the following three methods:

First of all, it is important that family members discuss openly about

their pleasures or sadness in childhood in family gatherings. This activity does

not only create a close relationship but also help build up understanding among

all members. For instance, once children are aware that their grandparents and

even their parents did not have a good upbringing during their hard childhood,

they will stop complaining about the previous generations’ obsoleteness. In the

that each family, by doing that, can enjoy a cozy atmosphere with minimum

Zeng Qiao is one of my friends. She is a beautiful, outgoing and good-tempered girl. She smiles frequently. I think it’s her smile that makes her beauty. We live in the same dormitory, so that we always stay together, no matter going to classroom or having dinners. At first, I don’t like her very much, because she is always talking. It seems that she can’t stop open her mouth. I am a little bit quiet and introverted, so I seldom talk to others. But gradually, I find that she can have influence on others by what she says. 我到公园散步时，闻到了一种臭鱼味，路上的行人也都用一只手捂住鼻子，用另一只手扇着臭味，我也受不了了，连忙加快脚步，我往下一望，原来是河里许多死鱼，这是为什么呢？我百思不得其解，然后又定神一看，想出来了，一定是河水被污染了，我看见了河里有许许多多的垃圾“聚集”在一起谈声说笑，所以一定是鱼儿们受不了了，才在这种恶劣的环境下“安息了”，最主要还是因为人们乱扔垃圾，让河水浑浊，被污染了，唉！望着原本清澈见底的河现在变黑了，原本活泼乱跳的鱼儿们也一动不动了，我有种说不出来的滋味儿！

空气

又是一个晴天，我一个人在街上走着，路上汽车多、公车多、摩托车多，喇叭声也不断地向我一个尽儿地涌来，车又多了起来，然而，行人却少了起来，因为路上空气变得刺鼻起来，汽车尾部工业废气中，含有多种有毒物质，在阳光照耀下，会产生许多有害气体，对人体呼吸道有很大损害，造成呼吸道疾病发病率高。大家为什么有自行车呢？它是克服心脏病的最佳工具之一，单车也能防止高血压，有时比药更管用，还能防止发胖、血管硬化，并使骨骼强半。而且自行车又不会排放废气，又能身体健康。这不是一举两得吗？所以我劝人们不开车只骑车，为整个地球多一分色彩，少一份肮脏吧！
