说句实话，为了这次的比赛我下了很大功夫，整个暑假都在勤学苦练。我想，我努力了就一定会成功的。于是，我带着一颗充满自信的心和爸爸、妈妈一起来到了美丽的北京城。

初来北京城，这座城市给我留下的第一印象的就是很大，很美。为了让我放松心情，爸爸妈妈先带我来到了让我向往已久的天安门广场。眼前的一切不禁让我赞叹：这就是传说中的天安门吗?好壮观，好雄伟好宽阔呀!原来毛主席曾经就是在这里宣告我们中华人民共和国成立的。"我爱北京天安门，天安门上太阳升。伟大领袖毛主席，指引我们向前进--"这是我第一印象中的天安门，当我刚学会这首歌的时候，天天唱这首歌，天安门多伟大呀!爸爸告诉我，天安门对于中国人来讲不仅仅是一座古建筑，更是一个极具象征性和权威性的中国符号，他的神圣和庄严令人肃静，而它所见证的沧桑和风云又令人动容。爸爸的这番更加深了我对天安门的欣赏和对祖国母亲的热爱。

我从城楼上看到了广场，广场上人山人海，黑压压的一片，全是人。城楼山还挂着毛主席头像，城墙上写着"中华人们共和国万岁，全世界人民大团结万岁!"站在这里，远远望去，我觉得我的祖国好伟大，我为自己是一名中国人而感到骄傲!我必须好好学习报孝祖国，我没有理由不对自己此次的书法参赛充满信心!

于是，第二天我信心百倍地来到了比赛现场。赛场很大，红色的地毯上全都是人。评委台上都是鼎鼎有名大书法家。当主持人宣布比赛正式开始的时候，我起初有点紧张，可后来脑海中浮现出了天安门广场的雄伟壮观，让我突然信心倍增。于是，认认真真地完成了我的作品并取得了非常好的成绩。

北京，是你的历史感动了我;北京，是你给了我参赛的信心和力量，让我取得了优异成绩。北京，是你让我的这个暑假过得非常有意义。北京，我爱上了你，这座美丽的城市!

这个暑假我过得真有意义!
