Saving Water

The world is not only hungry,but also thirsty for water. This may seem strange to you, since nearly 75 % of the earths surface is covered with water. But about 97% of this huge amount is sea water, or salt water. Man can only drink and use the other 3% -- the fresh water that comes from rivers, lakes,underground, and other sources. Did you know that to produce a single ton of steel, it takes about 91, 000 liters of water?

We all have to learn how to stop wasting our precious water. One of the first steps we should take is to develop ways of reusing it. Experiments have already been done in this field, but only on a small scale. For us, the systems are as important as the spacecraft.

又过了十多分钟，我的第一根烤肠终于烤好了，我迫不及待的把它拿给姥爷，姥爷吃了连连称赞，让我心里美滋滋的。接下来，我更加努力，愣是一下子烤了三根烤肠，五串鱼丸，把我和妈妈两个人吃的饱饱的，我们一边吃还一边笑呢！

吃完饭后，我们又去不远的小树林里爬了树，那里的树十分茂密，抬头看不见天。之后我和哥哥就做起了火把，哥哥教我火把是这么做的：先找一根比较粗的木棍，然后拿刀把它十字切开，但不能太深，切不动用石头砸，接着捡一些干树枝，干树叶往里面插，最后拿个东西把它裹住就好了。于是我们立刻在树林里寻找合适的材料，不一会儿，找全了。我们两人大概用了将近两个小时的时间，才做成了四个火把。还有那里的蜜蜂实在太多了，也是影响我们速度的主要原因。
